Belkin Routers :: Can Connect Wireless Range Extender N300 To N600 For Better Coverage
Oct 21, 2012
I have decided to buy belkin n600 router. my question is can i connect Belkin wireless range extender n300 to belkin n 600 for beater coverage. is this possible ? if possible how many extender i can connect to the router and also can i connect extender with wire and wireless.
Can N600 DB Wi-Fi Range Extender have the exact same name as my N600 DB Router or does the extender have to have the additional characters "_xt" at the end of the extender name, when the first part matches the router name?
I have a Belkin N300 Dual-Band Wi-Fi Range Extender but the signal light is always amber and I have difficulty connecting to the N300 wi-fi. Can I use a wired Ethernet cable to connect to it rather than it picking up the existing weak Wi-Fi signal?
I am having problem using the N300 dual-Ban Wi-Fi Range extender with my att 2wire 3800HGV-B router. Cannot use the extender to access the internet. The Att router works without it. Just want to use the extender to extend my att router signal but cannot.
I have a 3 story townhouse and want to have one n600 connected to my modem on the 3rd floor and then have the other downstairs connected through wireless to the one upstairs. I have seen lyncsys will do this but will the belkins?
I just connect my new EA 6500 router and I am trying to connect my Belkin F9K1106 Range extender to the 5Ghz and it keeps saying the password is incorrect. I am able to connect to the router using 2.4Ghz with the same password. I have updated the extender's firmware to 1.00.16 and it didn't work.
My N300 Wifi Range Extender does not let me connect to Internet. I can access other systems connected on the main WIfi network, but I cannot access Internet.I observe as well that all systems connected to the Extender appear, from the main Wifi network, having the same Mac address. I believe that my ISP (Telenet) does not accept that, and that this is the reason I cannot connect to Internet. Is there any way to change that behaviour ?
When trying to update the firmware on my range extender, 192.168.2.1 does not work (per instruction page). When I found my default gateway address, it wanted me to login to my Netgear router -- not to the Belkin extender to which it's currently hard connected. F9K1106V1
My F9K1106 range extender (brand new out of the box) will not connect to my router. I have an ASUS RT-N66U router. The Belkin extender keeps telling me the password to the router (WPA2 security) is incorrect. Every other device (bridges, computers, tablets, mobile phones) connects to the router perfectly with the given password.
I have a N600DB configured as a primary router. I got another playmax n600HD router which I want to configure as an access point that extends my network upstairs and allows me to attach some wired devices like my ps3. I followed the basic principles of setting as access point and my locally connected ps3 and NAS are communicating but no Internet access. How the 2nd router can connect to the internet?
i purchased the belkin i described in the title of this post. It instructs me after connecting it to my pc that i should go to web page "[URL] it comes up that there is no site for this address. I can't use this extender until i visit the web to set it up.
my netgear wireless router cannot see my n300 usb adapter. it shows as working in my device manager, but the netgear router says wireless not connected. when installing the adapter it said that windows has an icon to the left of the taskbar that i can click on and ask to join a network, which it didnt. it just showed network and an option to open network and sharing center, which i did. there were no wireless networks that showed available for me to log into with the adapter
I have a belkin n300 and it whilst the modem itself is showing a static blue light, its coming up as an explanation mark on the wifi symbol on my macbook. This has been happening since yesterday when I was fiddling around with the settings on the IP address (192.168.2.1) to get the printer to work wirelessly which it did once then the wifi network went down.
I have a Belkin Surf N300 wireless Modem-Router, but cannot get it to connect to my Android phone. I can connect it to my Nexus tablet, to my desk-top and my lap-top, so I know there is nothing wrong with the router itself. Every time I try to connect the phone, it locates the network, scans, authenticates, but then says "Disabled" and the message: "Secured with WPA/WPA2 PSK" with "locked network" symbol. What does this mean? This is on the label that came with the router: "Security Type WPA/WPA2" but I don't know what to do in order to remove the lock. The phone is a Vodafone Smart Chat and I bought it specifically to be able to connect to Wi-Fi networks.
I have a N600 router. Yesterday, for the first time, I was unable to connect to the internet from my TV. It keeps saying network connection failed. I have unplugged the router and modem several times and that does not work. When I check the various wireless systems available (on the TV screen) I see mine there but it will not connect. At one point I did see something that said ethernet cable disconnected, but I checked and the cable is connected.
Just installed N600 router. Works for my Windows 7 PC and my Android phone. Does not work with my Windows VISTA PC. It connects to the Router ok, but does not connect with the Internet. Also says UNIDENTIFIED NETWORK. What am I missing?
I have a Belkin F5D7132 Range extender/access point set up as a repeater for my wireless router as its range isn't adequate but this doesn't provide enough wifi signal strength. Can I set my Belkin device as an access point connected by Ethernet to the router?
I bought the router belkin n600 and it says in the box the USB support the FAT16/32 and NTFS which is I am really interested in but I was disappointed when I attached my book WD essitionl 3TB in to it because the router couldn't see it and I also tried a 320GB Toshiba external hard disk has NTFS file system and it didn't work ..
I just bought a Play N600 F7D8302. I swapped out my old Belkin router for this one. Easy swap. I went in to the 192.168.2.1 address, to look at the current wireless settings. I saw an option to use it as an access point. Not sure what I was thinking when I checked it off, but now I can't connect wirelessly, and I cant get onto the settings page again, via 192.168.2.1. My IP address has changed, and is now 22.214.171.124. I've unhooked everything and hooked it back up. I pushed the reset button on the back. I don't know what to do. How do I get it back to the way it was before I got my hands on it?
I have recently purchased a Belkin n300 wireless N router. The problem is, I have to reboot the thing numerous times throughout the day to allow a client to connect to it via wireless. One client will be connected and then drop, or a client will be connected, and I cannot connect another device. I also had an issue with streaming over wireless for netflix on my devices and the only way I could get it to work was to turn off the firewall, what the hek.... This is crap. I knew I should not have bought a belkin router again. Had one years ago and it constantly gave me issues. Had my Linksys Wrt54G for years with no problems until it finally crapped out. Anyways, my firmware version is the latest version according o the website.
i have beetel adsl2+router connected to my main computer through ethernet cable but its wifi signal is very low. its signal hardly reach the other end of my house where my bedroom is, and i want to surf on my laptop or mobile from my bedroom only so basically i want to extend my wifi range or boost the signal the thing is i have a belkin f7d1301 basic n150 wireless router, i want to know whether i can use it as range extender or any other thing to boost my signal.
This morning I lost wifi connectivity. I reset the router and powered off and on the modem along with the router but to no avail. The blue stripe no longer shows on the top corner of the machine.I am able to connect to the internet using the ethernet ports on the router. I also tried to get into programming using 192.168.2.1 but it is timing out.
