View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Belkin N750DB router. I've had it for about 1 month. It's worked great. This morning I got a message on my computer saying I needed to perform an update on the router. I did it and now the router won't turn back on. I've tried all of the easy stuff...unpluging power, unpugging internet, unpluging power to the modem that feeds into the router, pressed the reset button. I've even tried other electrical oputlets to make sure it wasn't the power supply. No little blue light. I'm technologically challenged to begin with. Oh, and I can't find the original disk that came with it. Is there anything I can do?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Belkin N750DB (F9K1103) that has been working great for many months. All of the sudden, when I reboot it r power cycle it, it loses its configuration. Even if I restore the configuration, it immediately goes away. I have tried unplugging for an extended time and holding the reset button for a full factory reset.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIt seem like 2 or 3 times a day my router software says your router will reset in 3 minutes or something like that. How do I prevent this? I do have self healing turned on for 4 a.m. each morning but it resets at other times. I own a belkin n750db f9k1103 v.1
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a N750Db router along with a Dual-band wireless range extender. It works great, but it created two new networks with "_xt" at the end of the SSID to denote the extended networks. This means I have to disconnect/reconnect to the base/extended networks as I move around my house. If I were to rename the extended networks to have the same SSID as the base networks, would that allow me to walk around my place without having to connect to the extended network, or will it create some sort of conflict or error?

View 17 Replies View RelatedI am attempting to forward port 25565 on my router, and having some trouble. I've set a static IP address as both 192.168.2.10 and 192.168.2.111, and attempted a dynamic IP address. The port forwarding page via 192.168.2.1 in the browser looks like this, with the Private IP Adress changed to whatever corresponding IP address I have set (checked with cmd /ipconfig).
After testing with multiple online port checking tools, the ports remain closed.
I'm trying to manually set up port forwarding for my Vulkano Lave media server, but my just purchased AC 900gb (model # F9k1117v2) won't take the inputs completely. I need 2 TCP ports one is 49177, the other is 56123, and one UDP for 56123. How do I successfully put in these numbers into port forwarding? Is their a plug and play setting I can use?

On the fios connection I have an RV042 VPN router and on the Cable company connection I have an rvs4000 router, I would like to know if there is a way I can connect the 2 so I can share a printer I have on one of the 2 networks from the other network without using the VPN feature, like via an ethernet cable connected between the 2 and some kind of static route maybe?

View 1 Replies View RelatedCan a wireless router be plugged into one of the ports on a wired router?I use a wired router and won't use wireless router because of security concerns. However, I am putting a PC in another part of my house. This PC will have limited types of usage - and security concerns will not be an issue for the type of use that machine will have.Running coax across the house will be difficult. My thought was to use a wireless setup for this one machine. But that would work only if I can plug a wireless Router it into a port on my wired router.
1) Can I plug a wireless router into a wired router?
2) If the answer is yes, will that compromise security on the wired ports because the wireless router is connected to it?
Router (wired) = Linksys BEFSR41; Router (wireless) would be "G"
I'm having some difficulties with the VLAN setup on the SG-200 and the WiFi access point. The access point (a TP-Link WA801N) is only able to access the internet when it is plugged into a port that is on the default VLAN (PVID 1). If I plug it into one of the other VLANs then any clients connected to the WiFi lose access to the internet and cannot access devices on the VLAN. I have previously used this setup with a first generation Cisco WAP4410N. [code]

View 1 Replies View Relatedevery once in awhile we have a machine that seems to just lose the ability to access network shares and networked printers. The way I have been "fixing" the issue is to join a workgroup temporarily and restart computer and rejoin the domain.
I understand this is probably not the best fix available, but I am not sure what is causing the problem and/or what a better solution to this problem is.
why this happens and how best to solve this without just rejoining the domain?
Earlier today I put in a password for my Belkin_G_Wireless_CC7A57 router. I had to change something, im not sure what it was. it was like WPA or WAP. now it wont let me go to my router settings 192.168.2.1 in the address bar is how i have been getting to it. now it just takes me to a OOPS google chrome cannot open this web page..... I just want to restore the router to it factory default settings. it will let this laptop on and another one in the house but not an older one we have which runs Windows XP. If i can get to my router settings i will be fine..
View 2 Replies View RelatedThis problem started happening a few days ago. Whenever I try to access [URL] on my computer that's not physically connected to the router and modem, I keep getting a 403 error:
You don't have permission to access / on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

but I can access touch.facebook.com and m.facebook.com. If I use the computer that is physically connected to the router and modem, I can access Facebook fine. I've tried using CMDPrompt and releasing/renewing IP to no avail. I use the belkin n150 router with updated firmware and the linksys wireless-g pci adapter with v3 drivers. Never had an issue before up until now.
I have a N300 f9k1002v1 router and would like to add guest access. Unfortuantely I can't find any info on how to do this. The user guide alludes to it but has no details. I also checked out this link: [URL]
since my router setp does not show "guest access" under "wireless" I skipped to #6 as stated. However when I get to #9 there is no "guest settings" dropdown for me to use.
If I want to setup my N+ router 5FD8235-4 V 2 as an access point. How do I go about doing that?
