I had a strange issue with one of my customer..Cisco WS-C3750X-48P Access switch was not reachable and after reload it started working.I would like to know the root cause of the issue. There were no logs and no errors in interfaces.Even Cpu utilization was not high. We have enabled arp inspection and dhcp snooping in the switch..Hope this will not make any issue..Also we have dot1x enabled on port..

It's fairly hard to explain what happens but basically, say I'm playing some type of online game, all of a sudden anything server sided such as HP amounts, damage amounts, etc. just disappears but the animation runs fine such as attacking being hit, etc. All of a sudden it'll jump forwards and I'll take any damage and do any damage that had been happening until the issue started. This happens constantly and it's really frustrating but on top of that my internet will slow to a crawl..Say I'm trying to send a message on Skype, it won't send for the longest time and I won't be able to recieve any or even open a new webpage until the problem fixes itself.'ve looked around a bit and thought I fixed the issue, I'm on wifi and multiple devices are connected but not always in use, and the forum I found suggested an ip conflict and said to open up command prompt release the ip with ipconfig /release and then renew it with ipconfig /renew.

I have a new Win7 Toshiba laptop here which can hardly connect to the internet. Sometimes, it cannot even see the router. When it can see the router and connect to the internet, speeds are so slow that most web pages cannot load (Google comes up, searches are slow, can't open any sites). The new laptop is attempting its connection through wireless. My Device Properties says I have an Atheros AR8152/8158 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.20). Wireless Network Connection Properties says I'm connecting using Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230. I'm sending and receiving millions of packets, getting great signal quality, and have 144.0 Mbps. IPv4 is connected but IPv6 is getting no internet. The router is a Linksys, though I don't know the model number.I am typing this on another laptop that is connecting via wireless, also a Toshiba. I have another laptop and desktop which can connect via wireless and three desktops which connect via ethernet cable. [code] I'm reasonably good with computers but step-by-step instructions don't hurt. How to get the internet working well on this new laptop.

I've gotten a Lenovo Laptop recently. As soon as I got it I went home and set it up. As soon as I got use to Windows * I went to Desktop and the following happened.I tried to go to Internet Explorer to try to search for a different browser and everything loaded up slow, the connection is 4 bars but it still is slow. It was a miracle I even got to download anything. After I got Google Chrome I decided to go on YouTube to test if it was slow as well. The videos need time to buffer even if on 240p. On my PC the internet loads fast, no need to buffer videos at all and the other webpages load fast too. I have a Ps3 here too, but it's YouTube app's videos load fast too, no need to buffer. I can play online with 4 bars and no problems at all. Why is the internet so slow on my laptop?

So recently got broadband in the new house, and the line got activated last night. All my housemates seem to be getting the internet fine on their laptops but I can't. When on wireless, the speed is VERY slow. Some pages, like google's home page can take 2 minutes to load and image heavy sites such as Youtube home page, with all their thumbnails will not load at all, except once in a while albeit without the images.

I have multiple laptops and a PC in my house all connected to Verizon's wireless/wired modem/router.My laptop's bandwidth ranges from 7-20 Mbps, while the desktop cannot seem to rise about 1 or 2. The wireless card for the desktop was a USB Wireless G adapter, in the process of trying to figure out the problem, i replaced it with a b/g/n PCI card. This did NOT resolve my problem. So in a fit of desperation, I reformatted the Desktop, and Restored the modem/router to factory defaults (in that order) neither worked.

So I've noticed a big speed drop in my comcast internet. I went from routinely scoring over 20mbps on speedtest.net to around 11. Also, the upload test fails everytime. On every speed test site I've been to, the upload test completely fails. I haven't changed a thing so I have no clue why this would happen, but maybe it might have something to do with the speed decline.
I have an old WRT54G router that I've had for almost 10 years and I was thinking that maybe that was the problem. So I tried directly connecting my modem to my rig, but for whatever reason, I couldn't get it to work.
I can build unbeatable gaming rigs and program like crazy, but I just do not have networking in my skill set. It confuses the hell out of me and always seems to be completely random. What I can do to isolate and resolve my problem?
Oh, on one of the upload tests I got the following error.
"Trial measurement failed. Client can't send/receive UDP packs to server port 8601".

I have 3 laptops, an ipod and an Xbox connected wirelessly to my router. I have no troubles with either of them but one laptop which runs really slow through wi-fi. I have been reading on people with similar examples and here are some stuff I noticed.
1. The laptop is new and I ran it as a virus check with no viruses
2. I did notice two wifi adapters as follows. Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter and Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter #2. They both show that they are working properly and I have checked for updates.
3. My router is a Netgear DGN1000 modem/router. It is also updated on firmware.
4. I have the right password etc.I do however have my xbox set up as DMZ and ports forwarded on the static IP for my xbox

we have 3 laptops connected to our home network, 2 Gateways and my Sony Vaio. We have AT&T U-Verse and the 2 gateways get speeds of ~12Mb/s while I get speeds of less than 3Mb/s. I've searched countless forums but I can't seem to find the problem. We got U-verse installed in January and the internet on my laptop was on par with the other ones. But I went back to school and came back home for break and it's as slow as mollases.

I recently acquired a laptop from a friend, he was having problems with it and decided to just give it away and buy a new one, I took and it examined the problem, it is a HP Pavillion laptop running on Windows 7.When I booted it up it said "NO BOOTABLE DISK" or "NO BOOTDISK INSTALLED" or something of that nature.I realized that the harrdrive was fried so I bought a new harrdrive and installed it into the new laptop, reinstalled Windows 7 onto the laptop and installed all the required drivers.I don't understand why, my old laptop running on Windows XP, it runs fine and smoothly, pages open quick and downloads finishing fast and smoothly. But when it comes to the Windows 7 laptop, A 2mb file takes almost 30 mins just to download, web pages take forever to open up.

I have a year-old Sony Vaio laptop which connected to the internet without any problems on my BT Homehub connection. However, I recently moved in with my girlfriend who has a Virgin media connection and, although I can connect to it without problems, it is extremely slow (around 0.30 mbps) whereas my girlfriend's laptop is fine (9.74 mbps), we both have iPhones which are also fine therefore I'm pretty certain the problem lies with my laptop. I have tried updating the wireless card's drivers (windows tells me they are up to date) and I've also tried disabling my Norton 360 but it didn't make any difference.

I just bought an alienware M18x, and set it up a few days ago. all of the drivers are up to date. Yet my internet is still slow (about half the time). I run a speed test, and it says my download speed is 0 mbps for a few moments, then it skyrockets and averages out to about 8. The upload speed is more consistent, but only at 0.3 mbps. I have centurylink at up to 12, and they've told me that the connection itself is fine.

My Sony Vaio laptop is experiencing slow internet speed even though the signal level shows as excellent. This is only when using it upstairs, where it is normally used. In the same room as the router it is fine. This has only just starting happening and it was OK anywhere in the house until a couple of days ago. To make it even more confusing my wife's notebook and my iphone work fine on the network in the bedroom.

Ok so my internet connection has recently started disconnecting and reconnecting every 5 mins or so. It has never done this before and has started doing it out of the blue. It doesn't even appear to have cut out by the icon at the bottom but it does stuff like stop youtube videos from loading or when I am playing online poker or online gaming it will cut out for about 30 seconds before reconnecting again.

Been having a weird problem recently, our internet normally runs around 4mb and was fine until around two months ago, when all of a sudden it started disconnecting and running really slowly. Normally around peak times, but also whenever the wife turns her laptop on.I know what you are about to say - Virus, exactly my first thought until I also noticed that whenever this happened the noise margin started jumping, or it would lose sync and resync at around 1.5mb, with high ping times and repeated dropped packets. Turning her laptop off seemed to solve dropped packets (although would stay slow and high ping times remain)We moved the laptop around the house and noticed this only happened when she sits on the sofa in the living room, bear in mind this sofa is a good 2 meters away from the nearest phone socket (which is not connected anyway) and works fine anywhere else, albeit in close proximity or not to the router / phone line.We cannot fathom why this is happening and have had a ticket open with Sky who have exhausted their capacity to resolve without fixing it.

The issue is that one Dell laptop is experiencing slow or no internet connectivity at all using wireless. Sometimes 1 to 2 minutes to load a page, other times the dreaded 'not able to display webpage' message. It's fine using Ethernet. I have another laptop (same exact brand/model) and it has no problems. I also have a Macbook Pro and other Apple IOS devices (iPod/iPads) that are fine. Several Ethernet connected devices are fine as well. The laptop in question had no issues with my previoius Linksys devices, which are a BEFSR41/WAP55AG as well as a WRT-54GS v2. This one laptop was fine the first day or two on the EA4500 but something happened which is causing this issue. I had to add the WAP55AG back onto my network so my son is happy again, but my plan was to decommission the other devices. I have 2 desktops at home and a HP G60 notebook with windows Vista. The internet works fine on both desktop since they're plugged via Ethernet, but my wireless connection is giving me a hard time on my laptop. I know the wireless works cause I have 2 iphones and they're connected via wifi and works fine. It's just this laptop that is having problems. when I click on connect to wireless, it does but it doesn't show the proper "connected" icon (when it's connected it shows two monitors and a small world, now it's just the two monitors without the world)

I have to disconnect and reconnect my network cable and it starts working fine. This is very annoying. I have an HP/Compaq laptop that is quite a few years old but has been working fine. It has stopped connecting to the internet although it will connect to my wireless network. The internet works and all other devices (my tablet, my phone, daughter's laptop, etc) all connect. The laptop started having troubles recently and would eventually connect to the internet if I rebooted a couple of times. However, I've been trying multiple times today and it still won't connect.I have Windows Vista and the repair function has not fixed it or diagnosed the error.

I boot up my computer. I close it over. come back later. open it. Computer will connect but with the small yellow triangle. Thing is though, it's only my computer that ever has issues with my internet connection. My sisters laptop has never had an issue with out internet. Yet my laptop is able to connect to the neighbors internet fine. The solution to my problem almost all of the time is to simply reboot my computer, which solves the problem(most of the time). But i'm getting so sick of having to do it. The other times when a reboot doesn't work I have to manually reset the internet. As i'm typing this I'm on my neighbors internet. my sister is connected fine to our internet but my laptop simply won't work with it so i'll have to reset it when i'm finished this Some useful information might be that this problem only started happening ever since my computer got wiped.I've tried updating the drivers but apparently they're up to date.

I have an old Gateway W322 laptop running Windows XP Home Edition and it recently stopped being able to connect to the internet. It happened gradually, at first having connection problems off and on for a few hours, and eventually it would no longer connect at all. I tried using an ethernet cable to the modem and that didn't work. I also know it's not my modem because I have other computers in my house and they are connecting just fine.
