We have two stacks, only one with IP routing enabled.When we try to run an Acquisition Action on this, from Admin> Collection Settings> User Tracking, the system replies with an error "Failed to start acquisition: Device unreachable. Please enter a valid device"device Center reports "success" on all collector status.Acquisition starts successfully when we try with the other stack.With LMS 4.1 demo, users acquisition runs successfully.

Using Network Assistant in XP, plugged ethernet cable to first front port and keep getting "Failed to get Default Gateway. Check your security settings to make sure the current Java Virtual Machine is not prevented from running commands.", I have tried reducing secruity to nothing but I still get the same problem.
I also have an official cisco console cable and tried that, but Hyperterminal just does not pick it up when plugged in. I have left the IP dynamic, turned off all netowork adapters apart from ethernet, set the baud rate etc... correctly, still no joy.
I have a Cisco catalyst 6513 with sup720-3bxl and WS-X6724-SFP modules , the switch was working fine until yesterday ,but after a maintenance the modue WS-X6724-SFP failed to bring online , the error code is (Module Failed SCP dnld) does it mean the module has hardware problem or i need to replace it ?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am Using Windows 7 32-Bit, and my Network usually works fine, and my internet has been working fine up until recently. However about a month (maybe more) I noticed a problem that kept cutting me off occasionally and said Diagnostic Policy was not started, I troubleshooted it and it was fine. Much more recently this has been happening more frequently and troubleshooting it doesn't solve the problem. I can get online for 10-15 Mins then I am cut off again. Restarting the computer often fixes it but not always. I went to Services and found the Diagnostic Policy Service is not running, I press start and receive this error message.
The Diagnostic Policy Service service on local computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by services or programs.I am quite sure my loss of Internet is due to this as this is a network related service and what the troubleshooter always finds to be the problem. Other Computer/Devices in the house connect to the internet fine with no loss of connection so it has nothing to do with that. I have tried various fixes like uninstalling network adapter drivers, and checking permissions in Registry but it has not worked.
What you can try:Diagnose Connection Problems,This is what is displayed evry third or fourth page when I surf...I could just be finishing a survey and bam this pops up and when you have 56 K dial up and your computer is already slow, you dont need this slowing you down....what can I do ? I am afraid to do my online banking....
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have "Xtreme" internet service with Time Warner Cable, and it isn't so Xtreme. The modem/wireles router is the Ubee DDW3611.I was doing some work earlier this morning, and the lawn mower guy was here in the back doing his thing. All of a sudden the internet goes out. I see that damn dreaded yellow exclamation mark in the taskbar superimposed over the wireless internet icon. My first thought was that the lawn dude ran over some wires.I went outside to see if any wires were exposed or had been damaged. I noticed about a yard of wire was exposed above ground, but did not appear to have any damage.Anyway, I've been trying for the past few hours to fix this darn thing (before the technician gets here around 4pm). I've tried all the simple stuff like reset the modem, restart, mess with dns settings, but I have no idea where to go after this.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWe just replaced our Cisco 1240 AP in one of our shops with a Cisco 1141 AP. This is not controller based.
We use several wireless (infrastructure mode) auto diagnostic tools which connect to the AP. We also have many laptops which run the diagnostic software.
We had no problems with our 1240AP. With our 1141, we cannot connect to the wireless tools if both the laptop and the tools are connected to the 1141. If I connect one to the 1240 and one to the 1141, they can see each other and work fine. IF they are both connected to the 1141, they show up as connected in the AP, they can ping each other, but the software does not communicate.

702N runs as repeater mode to W8968. In 702N > Maintenance > Diagnostic the ping work for Internal network but fail for external IPs. Most devices connected to 702 can access Internet fine. I have also tried Bridge and Client mode.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am facing the following issue. In our environment we have a couple of WS-C2960S-24TS-L configured as stack. These switches are configured as VTP mode transparent.We are running LMS 4.1 and although UserTracking Acquisition works fine for all other switches, it only runs on demand for the above. The user tracking report for these switches shows only the MAC of the connected end hosts, without the respective IP address. The vlan I am interested in is configured on both the gateway (cisco 6509) and the switches, and the subnet is routable.Show arp on the gateway does show the "mac-ip address" binding, so I would have thought that usertracking would have been able to report both IP and MAC.
Why does usertracking only run on demand for the above switches in vtp mode transparent?Why does the UserTracking report show only the MAC and not the IP?Are the above issues related to the vtp mode? I have ruled out any connection to the switch-model, because we have recently installed the same switches in VTP mode client and User Tracking Acquisition works fine for them.

We have two switches WS-C2960S-24TS-L running in stack with running IOS c2960s-universalk9-mz.122-55.SE3.We have connected two checkpoint devices on Gi1/0/24 and Gi2/0/24 with a simple configuration:

On the devices log we get the following message:

The mac-address 0000.0000.fe21 is not found on any checkpoint interface. "Show mac-address int gi1/0/24 or gi2/0/24" does not show the correct mac-address of the checkpoint interface connected to the port, but instead shows 0000.0000.fe21.Is there a bug in the IOS, something wrong with the switch config or does it have something to do with the checkpoint config?
I have a customer with a stack of two switches C2960S-24TS-L that are running 12.2(58)SE2 universal K9, we see that the CPU load increase over time, to 95% and stays there reload solves the problem.the process that akes a lot of CPU is also the SNMP ENGINE, I see that it is running 30 minutes on 95% and then 10 minutes on 35%, this is the only stack were we see this problem. Is there also a SNMP bug in this version ?

"The Cisco Catalyst 2960-S with SFP+ does not support the GLC-FE-100BX, GLC-FE-100FX, or GLC-FE-100LX." But it provides no reference for the GLC-GE-100FX The easy answer is, no the 2960S-24TD doesn't support it, any clarification if possible.
