seems like the priority value would come into play determining which service group gets handled first?
we currently do WCCP for WaaS on our 3945s.
I am going to advocate to my customer that we separate this out for CPU load issues, config complexity issues, IOS issues, etc... but the question is going to come up - "can we do WCCP for different applications on our Catalyst 3750 core switch, or our 3945 WAN routers?"
I'm trying to connect to a wireless network provided by a Sprint mobile hotspot. My computer is running XP SP3 and using a wireless USB adapter to do it. (802.1n)I can detect the network but when I try to connect using Windows I get the message "Windows waiting for the network to be ready." And apparently the network is never ready.I can also use the software that come with the adapter. That doesn't work because when I put in the password for WPA 2, the program saves a password that is far longer then the one I entered. Then I get the message "Authentication failed!" Well, duh. Then the computer tries to connect over and over with no results. "Trying to connect ... disconnected ... etc."

We have a 2100 cisco Wireless LAN Controller which manages 3 APs and assign IP address to clients which connects via wifi. Currently, we are deploying dual stack IPv6 and our consultant stated that our current controller does not support IPv6.
This is rather odd statement because there is an option to enable IPv6 in the advance tab of WLAN. And sometimes clients (win7 and Mac OS X) are getting v6 addresses, able to ping v6 sites, and reach v6 sites successfully. And other times, clients do not..or getting the v6 address for 10-15minutes, then unable to ping/reach v6 sites.
Our consultant is sticking by his words saying it does not support. If this is true, then clients should not be able to get v6 at all....not sometimes and not other times; very inconsistent.
And what is ipv6 pass through? What is ipv6 bridging?

I was wondering if I could setup my router CIsco RV120W to be able to connect to a VPN serice for my internet connection. Looking to give my small home netwok more sercurity. Is it possible with the Cisco firmware to be able to setup a connection to VPN serice. Do I have the compabilites with this router?
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust purchased an RV220W for a customer to replace a WRVS4400N that had no support for One-to-One NAT and have found the One-to-one NAT for this router is only marginally better.
I have three WAN addresses and three devices to map them to. With the RV0xx I've used the following configuration over a dozen times.
WAN Address 1 - the router's public address Port forward HTTP, HTTPS, and SMTP to Windows Small Business Server 2011 Email and Remote Web Access are accessible at remote.company.com
WAN Address 2 One-to-one NAT to private IP address of Ubuntu Server Add the following access rules: Deny allAllow HTTP from any to private IP address of serverAllow SSH from my company's static IP to private IPAllow FTP from my company's static IP to private IPCompanies website is accessible at company.com and I can update the website with SSH and FTP
WAN Address 3 One-to-one NAT to private IP address of the Hyper-V server's Intel RMM module (Lights out remote management) Add the following access rules: Deny allAllow HTTP, HTTPS, and all RMM ports from my company's static to the RMM modules private IPI can access server at rmm.company.com from my companies network connection
My problems are as follows:
The One-to-one NAT option now requires you to specify the service you'd like to forward (Note: service, not services)If you select the Any service which is the only way I can see to have more than one service, there is no way to add any specific Allow or Deny rules because the Destination box is grayed out on the access rules page. This results in my Ubuntu server only having HTTP forwarded to it and my RMM module having all ports opened up to any IP address. There must be some way around this! I don't understand why the Destination IP option is greyed out for all Inbound access rules. I have been using this same configuration with the Cisco RV0xx, many Sonicwall firewalls, as well as several Cisco ASAs. Obviously this is not an ASA but this implementation of One-to-one NAT is useless!
I have the following scenario: Pair of Cisco 887VA routers acting as Layer 3 for Voice/Data VLANs with a pair of 2960 LAN Base switches acting as Cores and possibly then 2960 LAN Lites hanging off them as access switches. Our Service Provider has provided an example config where the class-maps match based on dscp values for the QOS policy applied to the DSL circuits. We can obviously trust the attached phones but I want to be able to mark data traffic on my core switches based on destination IP/port to allow application definition. My major question is can I have a service policy on my Layer 2 uplinks to the routers where the linked classes setting dscp vlaues are based on class-maps matching on the contents of IP access lists based while at the same time not remarking the EF marked packets from the phones?

Right now there are only RV180W for DDNS providers (DynDNS, TZO, and 3322).I wanted to use a free DDNS provider, however DynDNS and TZO are now pay only (or only a short free trial via credit card). 3322 seems untrustworthy, as Google is reporting that it is a security risk?Anyway, my question is: "Is there a way I use another DDNS service other than the ones offered by default in my RV180W?"

How to to successfully configure and connect to a DynDNS account with RVS4000? This was working fine for me until recently when I think I upgraded the firmware to 1.3.3.5.I am trying to connecting to DynDNS.org service. In the past, I used the following string for the Hostname which worked: 'mysubdomain.domain.com&system=custom' (including small quotes). According to the RVS4000 documentation, all you should have to do is specify the host name with DynDNS but this clearly is not accurate.
View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently I bought RV220W router and found out that PPPoE connection option or profile do no have service name field at all. Unfortunately, my ISP requires this to be able to connect. I had done some research before buying this router by going through online device manager demos on cisco website. RV220's interface is not available, but RV215 is and I checked out some of the common features between both routers. Surprisingly RV215's PPPoE connection settings has service name option.
I suppose, unless there is new firmware update (my current router is already running the latest available firmware), this option cannot be added in the interface. What I want to know is, is there any way to configure the router to use the service name in PPPoE option or in PPPoE profiles? I don't think RV220W can be accessed via terminal/SSH or maybe even terminal.
We have a situation where services are stopped on the real servers. The probes fail and we confirm the services are not running on the server. We cannot access the ports from the ACE directly. We can still however acces the VIP on the TCP port (L4 VIP class-map). So we can still telnet to the VIP on the port from thr Client side of the network. This is on ACE 20 Modules deployed in Routed mode. The version of software is A2(3.3).
Tried removing multi-match and loadbalance policies as well as class-map and re-applying then re-appyling the service policy to interface. Same behavior,This is a problem at another level as some services are being monitored by GSS via TCP keep-Alive and this obviuosly causes a problem as the service then never goes off-line.
My F5D8235-4 v3 constantly looses it's DHCP service and needs to be rebooted.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an rv180 and I'm trying to setup a custom service that contains both multiple disjoint ports (some UDP some TCP), as well as a TCP port range. This has lead me to a couple of questions.1) Is it even possible to have a single custom service with disjoint ports? Is it just going to be necessary to define multiple partial services for this?2) Is it possible to forward a range of ports? It's clear how to define a service with a port range, but the port forwarding table interface only allows me to select one LAN-side port for any service. Is there a secret notation that I need to do here that will just forward to the same LAN-side port as the WAN-side port---effectively one-to-one NAT forwarding, but just for the selected service?

I noticed my neighbors have a WEP password on their wi-fi networks but I don't with my DIR-601 router. (I thought WEP was rather insecure.) But when I logged into the router and filled in the blank password field it refused to connect and showed no way to change it. I understand there is an always-active firewall built in. Does that protect my data and doesn't need a password? I also entered the router PIN number in a field but nothing further happened when I did. Do I need to set up WPS using the Wizard?

What i tend to do is run the wizard for the basic settings then run 10-15 lines from the client (depending on adsl or vdsl config) to configure the router. But for some reason this one doesnt fire it after loging on with cisco cisco to 10.10.10.1 and changed the username and password. I just get the bebased cisco cp 'basic'. View 5 Replies View RelatedI bought a Cisco 851W router from a coworker about a year ago and tried setting it up at my home with nothing but headaches. I finally gave up and went with DD-WRT and have yet to look back (my $40 router outperforms this thing on so many levels, but I'm getting off-topic!). I recently re-discovered this beast and pulled it out of storage to see if I could get a test network setup at home to practice on. I checked for any IOS updates and downloaded (and installed) the lastest image (c850-advsecurityk9-mz.124-15.T15.bin). I consoled in and verified the initial 10.10.10.1 IP was configured in the VLAN1 interface and directly connected a PC to one of the switchports and pulled a 10.10.10.2 address. I pull up SDM from my browser (I have used FF, IE, and Chrome, all with the same results. Java version is the latest, 6 Update 26.) and it launches the initial configuration wizard. I go through the steps and get up to the DHCP Configuration (after LAN, before Internet/WAN setup) and try to click Next and nothing happens. It doesn't freeze as I can easily go Back, but can never move forward beyond the DHCP configuration. Pressing Cancel on the wizard just shuts down SDM as a whole and exits.
In my troubleshooting steps, I did notice that as soon as I click Next in the DHCP configuration, nothing will happen in the wizard, but the SDM window in the background will automatically present the "Apply Changes" and "Discard Changes" buttons, which weren't there in the previous steps. Of course, neither of those are clickable due to the wizard being open. I really don't want to configure this thing from scratch using the CLI if I don't have to..is there ANY way I can bypass the SDM Wizard at all? Also, I'm running SDM Express, would downloading ASDM and trying to connect from there make any difference?
