I'm replacing my RVS4000 with the RV180 but having VPN connection issues with the RV180. Let me know the VPN tunnels work perfectly fine on the RVS4000.I have configured my RV180 for 3 VPN tunnels. My ISP is Comcast (cable) Business class with a Static IP. First VPN tunnel is to another Comcast ISP and the VPN works flawlessly - connects immediately.Second VPN Tunnel is to Business class ISP (Verizon-NJ) and VPN will NOT connect.Third VPN Tunnel is to Business class ISP (Cox Network-VA) and VPN will NOT connect.I had opened both the RVS4000 and RV180 up on a browser and both settings from the units were idential. I reconnect the RVS4000, VPN tunnels work great, I unplug and reconnect the RV180, the Comcast VPN works, but the other two do not. From what the log is saying "[IKE] WARNING: no phase2 found" and the other says "[IKE] ERROR: remote identifier not found". It has to be something with the RV180 that I'm missing or possibly configuring incorrectly.
I have a VM (Alice).I want to route ALL its traffic through a server of my own in the UK.It needs to be 'fail-safe' in the sense that the traffic must either be routed through the server, or not at all (EG with windows VPN dialer, if the VPN connection is dropped it will immediately begin routing traffic normally again - that's not acceptable*). I need to run windows on the VM, the server can be anything. The VM is connected to the internet via a linux firewall/router box in my house (set as default gateway for the VM).How can I set this up?
I can use PPTP and access all the PCs on a flat network at a remote site. I can ping the pcs and connect with netsupport manager. When I use QVPN I cannot do this. Why? I have added custom ports 5405 for NSM and applied ACL put no joy. I also added PING to ACL but it still doesn't work.
I have a RV180 router and i am trying to use the Quick VPN Client version 126.96.36.199. It works fine on my Windows 7 pc, and worked successfully once on the windows XP sp3 pc. But now the XP pc will not work.
What looks strange is in the VPN Client Connection Status on the router I see the status is Online, however the XP pc will not ping anything on the network or connect to the RDP pc i want. The QuickVPN Client hangs on "Verifying Network".
I tried the suggestions i saw online:
Disabling Firewall Enabling Firewall Making user name shorter Allowing for PING on WAN (replies all come back fast) Reboot Router Upgraded firmware to 188.8.131.52
I did not adjust the MTU rate as i was not sure what to change it too. AV is AVG 2012.
As you can see i have problems with connecting 2 SRP521W together for an VPN tunnel. I tried as much as I can but now i dont know what to do or how and where is the mistake? the connection between these two devices was there last week, after weekend (nothing changed in configs) the connection suddenly was interrupted, without any reason or warning. another day it worked again and 20 mins later connection was dead again...and now it wont establish at all.. here are some screenshots from the vpnconfigs of my devices. one has a static IP the otherone uses FQDN. These are the IKE policies: Here the IPsec Policies: and the GRE policies:
We have successfully establish a site-to-site vpn, but we have some difficulties when PPTP users try to access the remote network linked by this tunnel. LAN users can access the remote network without problem, but users who are connected remotly to the lan (PPTP) can't access computer on the remote network. Is there a way to allow PPTP user to access the remote network ? Adding a route ?
I have configured a VPN tunnel between two remote locations using static IP addresses on two RV042 routers. The tunnel seems to work but the problem is that when the two hosts attempt to ping each other only one can successfully ping. One PC with IP address 192.168.1.100 can ping across the network but the second PC with IP address 192.168.2.100 cannot. These are laptops seperate from the intranet used to test the tunnel. Someone had suggested NAT may be the issue so I enabled NAT Transverse on the routers but still no luck. The following is the results from a ping test.
PC 1 ping 192.168.2.1
Pinging 192.168.2.1 with 32 bytes of data: Reply from 192.168.2.1: bytes=32 time=116ms TTL=63 [Code] ......
I have setup a site-to-site VPN tunnel between 2 sites using CISCO rv120w.Everything works fine; any PC on one site can access all systems on the other site and vice-versa.The issue I have is when I start a VPN connection another site on Internet using IPSecuritas.I can initiate a VPN to site 1 and site 2; but when connected, I can only access servers that are located into the same site I'm connected to; I cannot ping the remote site. The Range of IP addresses on the internet during my tests is 192.168.11.0 (I 'm using a Mac)
-Systems with IP 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.10.1 are bridges -Systems with IP 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.10.2 are CISCO rv120w
I'm trying to set up a VPN tunnel between a Linux machine and a RVS4000 at a remote site (served via satellite connection). After many efforts, I finally succeeded (based on Openswan). However, while PINGing is OK, big packets (from the RVS4000 LAN to the Linux box) arrive corrupted.
I lowered the WAN MTU, with no success. What finally did the trick is to lower the MTU at the RVS4000 LAN interface. Since this is not possible via the Web I/F, I did it via telnet ("ifconfig eth0 mtu 1400"). However, this change is lost after router reboot. How can I make the LAN MTU setting permanent?
I´m getting a dynamic public IP from my provider and what I´m trying to do is to establish a remote vpn tunnnel using IPSec which I achieve but every time the sessions resets or the ASA 5505 resets I get a new public IP and I need to put the new IP on the remote client so I can establish the vpn... How can I establish an ipsec vpn using DNS? For this scenario the remote vpn client is a vpn phone but it could be for any vpn client.
Private IP Public IP Private IP PBX ---- (LAN) ---- ASA 5505 ---( Internet ) --- Remote Site ( Router ) --- (LAN) -- VPN Phone
I have remote branches that connect to the corporate office as a site-to-site VPN. Now the clients at the branch are getting an application that is using an unsecured port (tcp/23). I would like to use a set of ASA 5520's that I have at the corporate office, with the AnyConnect license on them. I want the client machines to establish a tunnel from the client to one of these ASA's. The ASA' then would have a connection to the VLAN that the receiving server is housed on. The trick is to just establish the tunnel from the client to the ASA that will allow the IP of the client to not be translated. So I would use the ASA as a security 'pass-through' for the clients that use this new application.
I've been labbing on my asa5505 at home, setting up different VPN solutions for testing purposes. However, I can't get my anyconnect client to establish a DTLS tunnel when connecting (anyconnect only shows tls, and does not display any errors about not connecting with dtls)I have set dtls port to 444 and this port is open on the other side.
I have a client that needs to establish a IPsec tunnel to a large organization. They will not forward any traffic to an IP using private reserved IPs. However I am not finding another way to accomplish this. I tried ipsec to the router and using a second IP to a 1:1 Nat but it will not pass the traffic and would seem really insecure from the public internet. 1:1 Nat does work from the public internet but not over the tunnel.I have an RV042 a /29 block of IPs. I am at a loss of how I can accomplish what they want without allowing a private IP.
i'm triyng to establish a vpn ipsec tunnel between my cisco2801 and a cyberoam equipment, at the end point.Debugging isakmp, i have this output, where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the remote peer address, and yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy is mine. What can i try?

Device asa 5550 - But can a Client establish a SSL VPN to remote network and devices on the remote network access local network printers? so you got one client one network A that creates a SSL VPN to network B , can network B be configured so that automatic job come across the same ssl vpn to a Different IP?
We have ASA5510 with version 7.x and asdm 5.X, i upgraded it to 8.3 and asdm 6.2, and i got vpn peers 250 and 2 ssl.when i try to connect through client software , i can see in the logs UDP 500 port is created as shown below.Mar 31 2011 23:54:40 302015 184.108.40.206 57013 x.x.x.x 500 Built inbound UDP connection 56694 for outside:220.127.116.11/57013 (18.104.22.168/57013) to identity:x.x.x.x/500 (x.x.x.x/500) no other things are going on , and i get error as shown below.

We have two sites, Site-A with a ASA 5520 (Remote Access IPSEC VPN server) at one end and a new ASA 5515-X at Site-B. Users at Site-B are unable to establish a VPN connection to Site-A via Cisco VPN client from behind the new ASA 5515-X. They see the following error:
"Secure VPN Connection terminated locally by the client. Reason 412: The remote peer is no longer responding.
They are able to access the same from home or elsewhere so I believe there is nothing wrong with Site-A ASA vpn config which we have been using for a while now. The new 5515-X (version 8.6) has a very basic config with all outbound traffic allowed. I'm pasting the config below. Do I need to enable/allow anything for it to work?

I have a RVS4000 with client VPNs setup and have created all 5 users......trouble I run into is that when one of the users attempts to connect to the VPN from a second device (ie the sixth device to connect to the VPN), the connection does not establish....cannot ping remote server (using QuickVPN). In looking at the logs, the device that isn't working is getting a different IP (172.16 vs 192.168). I know I'm limited to 5 users, but am I limited to 5 devices as well?
I have a sky router (Netgear DG834GT), which i have connected a secound router to which is a D link DIR-615 (with DD wrt firmware D4).I can get access to the sky router remotely without any issues even when changing the port number. its the Dlink router i cannot get access to remotely (within the network i can by typing in the dlink's ip address and works). Main router Sky router IP is 192.168.0.1 - Currently the port number is 8081.Secondary router Dlink IP is 192.168.0.2 (Static ip) - currently the port number is 8080.I have tried to configure the ports but it just dont want to open. Ive tried to open the ports on main netgear and tried all the option my dlink for port forwarding. i must be missing something fundametal here.
I have WAG120N and I want to use ssh tunneling to browse the net.In windows, I have to use a software like putty or xShell to establish a ssh connection to remote server. It works perfectly and I don't have any problem with it.The problem occurs when I want to use this ssh account in linux. At first, connection established without any problem or error. After 2-3 minutes it seems ssh dies and no data transmitted through ssh tunnel.I tried this with Symphony ADSL modem(Wired only) and I have no problem with it.I want to know if there's any specific problem or configuration for WAG120N to solve this problem?I like this modem/router and I don't want to sell it and buy any other modem/ router.I have to mention that usually I use wired connections to WAG120N,but at some cases I need to use its wireless features.
I'm currently setting up two VPN 3000 Concentrators at two different sites to create a IPsec LAN-to-LAN Tunnel. I have gone through all the basic configuration guides on the CISCO site, but a LAN-to-LAN session is never created. I have enabled the logs on the Concentrator and it displays no errors at all - it appears the Concentrator is not even trying to establish a IPsec LAN-to-LAN Tunnel. After running through the standard setup provided by CISCO, is there anything I need to do to make the Concentrator try to create a Tunnel, or should this be automatic once all settings are in place?
One of the customers has deployed Cisco 7609S in their infrastructure for Branch/RO connectivity. When we tried to configure per-tunnel QoS with DMVPN for MPLS connected sites, we came to know that Cat 6500 and Cisco 7600 series routers don't support this feature.
Now, we are looking for suitable replacement of Cisco 7609S. I found a document for configuring above feature on Cisco ASR 1000 series routers, but it has many restrictions always.
We are now looking for
(a) suitable platform in the league of Cisco 7609S which support above feature.
(b) suitable technology replacement of DMVPN with minimum restrictions.
I would like to know if there is a possibility to create 2 Remote access VPNs for 2 ASA situated in different sites and using only one PCF file.Is set up a tunnel between the 2 ASA the only way to reach the 2 destinations with the same PCF file?
I'm looking to put together a solution for a customer that wants to "bridge" between their current office and a new office space they have rented. I know how to set up a site-to-site VPN between two sites with different private IP ranges. For example, site A is 192.168.1.0/24 and site B is 192.168.2.0/24. But is it possible to make both sites appear as a single IP block? This way, systems could be moved one by one without renumbering.I am guessing there might be a way to tunnel the layer 2 traffic and make it work, but I am concerned about broadcast services being broken. I am using non-cisco platforms so I am just looking for pointers on the protocols that might be used so I can do further research.
