View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm working with a Cisco Unified CM 7.0There are sevral ip phones in the place.ach phone has a 3 digit extension tied to it. no matter where on the network that phone is plugged in that phone has the same extension. This is a problem because one phone (extension 134) is damaged and was swapped out with a phone that has extension 102. I want that phone that has extension 102 to have the extension 134 instead. So that is my problem. I must say I am merely a CCNA and I have no idea about this voip stuff. I thought it was a simple log in to the server and make a single change. boy was I wrong. I clicked on call routing, then I clicked on Directory number and I got a list of all the DNs. I then click on extension 102 and 134. I noticed the MAC of the respective phones was in a field titled associated devices. I then dissociated both phones thinking I could just associate the appropriate phones next. as soon as I hit save that entire section disappeared. Now those extension aren't tied to any phone and once more those phones now have no extensions. I am freaking out because I can't undo this. I've clicked on literally every single option inside this server. I am in way over my head. I will include a picture to illestrate what I am talking about.

My question is what is the best way to swap out the supervisor module? Can the SUP720 be added as a standby module so that the config can be transferred? Probably a long shot. Is there anything in this swap that I should be concerned with? The other three modules should be pretty straight forward.

We have asr1006 with 2 esp-40 and 2 rp2 and 2 sip-40. we need to bridge vlan from portchannel (2*10) to single 10ge port.
So fn said that EVC on Port-Channel supported on our software and document [URL] have such example
- configure terminal
- interface port-channel channel-group
- service instance id ethernet
But on our router we have not service command on port-channel. only on non portchannel interface.
But other document have Restrictions for Configuring EVCs on the Cisco ASR 1000 Series Router The following features are not supported: EVC on Etherchannels
Connect ww port-channel 1 2 tenGigabitEthernet 0/1/0 2 this is possible command on our router (but i can't create service instance on portchannel interface)
We need to bridge l2 without l3 termination ? is this possible with port-channel ?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a question regarding netflow and NAT. I have read some documentation (on ASR1000) regarding monitoring NAT process on Cisco ASR1000 that can be done using netflow version 9 (the term was called netflow event logging a.k.a NEL). The problem is, I have not found the netflow collector that can do that. I have queried several software such as manage engine "Netflow Analyzer" and Lancope, but they said their software can not do that.

Had a switch die over the weekend, a c3560, per our normal procedure I pulled the hardware put a very basic config on it(vlans, portchannel, uplink ports, ip of management vlan, con and vty security, snmp, enable secret, and hostname). Then I use solarwinds orion to upload a copy of the old config to bring the switch back to the same state as the one that failed. Its a system that has worked for us 3 or 4 times in the past. But this time when the base config was on the box it couldnt ping across the network.I have tried clearing the arp cache and the dynamic mac tables, i verified the routing tables and even removed the 10.1.185.128/27 route and re-added it, saw the routing update go across to the other 65k, tried bouncing the edge switch(i cant bounce the 65k's), took down the po between the edge and 65k.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOne of our customer would like to connect 3 datacentres and decided to use VPLS to extend layer 2 VLANs . For this purpose they have bought six Cisco ASR1000 edge routers( two at each side). They also wanted to buy MPLS SP backbone but have decided to buy 2x10G dark fibre links instead. My question is,
1-Will it still possible to run VPLS over dark fibre? Because all the documents I read regarding VPLS are deployed over MPLS backbone.
2-Any sample configuration for implementation VPLS in ASR1000 ?
how the ASR1000s are being setup.I am looking at ASR1000s as part of network refresh and was looking at RJ-45 based Gigabit Ethernet ports compatible with the ASR1000s SPA-5X1GE-V2 seems to be an option but they are all SFPs. Are there any options for RJ-45 ones on ASR1000s?
There is an option for the 2 port where one can mix and match SFPs and RJ45 but I was looking for something which is RJ45 only. Are there any options for them available.I know I could get something with FastEthernet type but was looking for the GigabitEthernet type.
I'm trying to find out what platforms support Multilink PPP with Link Fragmentation and Interleaving over a single link, when that single link is PPPoE. In searching the documentation, the best information I can find is that it seems to be supported in one direction on the ASR1000 url...Many platforms appear to support PPPoE and also MLPPP w/LFI, but it's not clear that both features are supported on the same link.
The application is a radio that has an Ethernet interface on its terrestrial link, and acts as an Ethernet bridge. Would like to use Multilink PPPoE with LFI in order to provide LFI in order to run VoIP over lower speed links (e.g 256kb). For what it's worth, the radio also supports RFC 5578 PPPoE Extensions for Credit Flow and Link Metrics. It was fairly easy to find what platforms support RFC 5578. But RFC 5578 would be used to support variation in the capacity of the link. If the link speed is fixed, RFC 5578 is not needed. I was trying to find if the set of platforms supported increase if the need for RFC 5578 is taken off the table.
In particular, I'd be interested in the whether the ASR 9000 series supports MLPPP bundles with LFI when the links are PPPoE.

Each ASR will be connected to the MOE with a gig interface and we will be using L3 on the interfaces with EIGRP as the routing protocol. We have advipservices-k9 IOS-XE
The ASR1006 is our datacenter WAN router and all remote sites have the ASR1001s. The ASR1006 WAN interface will be configured with L3 subinterfaces, one to each remote location, using a /30 mask.
What is the best method to encrypt the traffic between the ASR1006 WAN interface and the remote ASR1001 WAN interface?

View 3 Replies View RelatedCurrently my home network is being switched via TrendNet TEGs80G unmanaged gig switches. I have been using them for about a year now with no issues. As my home network becomes more advanced, I recently just added a Cisco ASA5505, I am thinking about swapping those unmanaged devices, 4 of them, to managed. I was looking at the Cisco SG300-10 for upstairs, and a 16 port variant for my main core. These devices do not support full Cisco IOS cli, but they are manageable with a rich feature set nonetheless. My question is, should I swap the unmanaged devices with the more expensive Cisco devices, or just keep what works and save the money until I really need to spend it. As previously stated, my home LAN works just fine as it is, however my WiFi, NTV550s, server and workstations are all on the same network. Probably not the most secure but it is what it is without VLAN support.

I'm trying to test fast roaming using a Cisco 2100 Series controller and 2 1140 APs. The initial authentication succeeds fine and the wireless connection works ok using WPA2+CCKM and LEAP with a Cisco ACS radius server. The problem is that the client does not attempt to preauthenticate with the other AP because the RSN Capabilities IE in the AP beacons and probe responses do not set the RSN Preauthentication capable bit. I can't figure out what it takes to get the APs to indicate to clients that it can do preauthentication. I'm been crawling through all the documentation I can find, to no avail.

But is it possible to set a bandwidth limit on the ports of a Cisco Catalyst 2960-8TC, so that we can set a limit of 3,3 and 4 on 3 ports.
