DSL Latency Raised 20-30ms Suddenly?
Jun 25, 2011About two days ago my latency to games and when I ping sites such as google I would have about 20-30ms more than usual. But my ping is steady and doesnt fluctuate, so say I would normally have 70ms to a game server I would now get 100 or so. I have tried all the standard things such as as resetting my router but to no avail. Also nobody else is on the connection only me. Normally I would ping google and get a 19-21ms response time and now im getting about 36-38 screenshot below.

Dec 14, 2011I am facing high cpu util issue 80% in pix 515E with IOS 7.2(4).When a syslog is enable for informational/warnings level traps the util goes to 80% where as other wise it is observed to be 36-37%.When i changed the trap level to alert the util seems to be normal, only the issue is when warning and info traps are configured, prior to the issue the same settings were working absolutely fine ,suddendly the util issue has occured.

Why there are two IDs for the same hardware and under which ID will my 2811 routers be classified into inventory database. This information is important since customer want to have support of 2811 in CiscoView of LMS 4.1 (around 200 devices).

Apr 2, 2012I recently upgraded my 2811 router with an AC- IP power supply, and installed a HWIC-4ESW-POE, with an Inline Power Daughter Card (ILPM-4) installed on the HWIC.
The second I turned the router's power on, there was a spark and a burning smell. Everything still works, except POE. Examining the card, I see it caused a circuit on the ILPM-4 motherboard to blow, and there is black residue everywhere. This is a Genuine Cisco power supply, but why it's done this.
Furthermore, when the power supply was first installed, it had so much electricity (and I know this is why the card got toasted) that touching the end of the console cable or an Ethernet cable connected to the router, or even the router chassis, would cause you to get a small electric shock, like touching a mild electric fence. Clearly, the power supply I installed is "too-powerful", but it is a 2811-AC-IP and nothing should have caused this.

IOS (tm) C3500XL Software (C3500XL-C3H2S-M), Version 12.0(5)WC3b, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
I think it's very strange the CPU always in 39 or 40 %. neither all ports of the switches are busy there are 6 ports free in each switch. 40 % I think it is a high value for CPU maybe because my IOS version 12.0 ?

Oct 18, 2011Im running ASA 8.0(3) on Active/StandBy failover pair.Last night I realized the CPU usage of my production ASA was 99%,,, on the ASDM Firewall Dashboard I can see counters like this:
Dropped Packet Rate (ACL Dropped) = 6000+ (more than 6 thousand)
Scanning Attacks = 18600+ (more than Eighteen thousand)
I went on the ASDM and checked the RealTime Log viewer and I have about 30 entries per second of these:

The other night, I could not ping major domains like ATT, CNN, MSNBC, BBC (a chronic missing domain). On the other hand, I could get Yahoo fine and go to a streaming audio site and run music perfectly...but about 90% of the Internet was unreachable.
