Connecting A Wired Network AR-M450 Printer Wirelessly?

Mar 3, 2012

My buddy just purchased a Sharp AR-M450 multifunction printer for his small business and it has the optional network card. He wants to take advantage of the network printing capabilities but we want to avoid having to run an ethernet cable from the printer to the wireless router. The entire network is wireless because running cables would be a huge pain in the building he is in. What could we use to connect the printer to the network without running cables?

Linksys Wireless Router :: BEFW11SF V4 Connecting To Printer Wirelessly?

Nov 26, 2011

I have a BEFW11SF V4 firmware version 1.52.03.  I just bought an HP DJ3051A and can't get it to connect.  HP support says I need to change a setting to mixed mode but I don't see that I can. Does this router supports mixed mode and if so how do I change it?The other comment the HP rep made was the printer does not support Wireless N.  I am fine with this since the router says Wireless B.  It seems based on the HP rep's comment that as long as I am not using Wireless N, then I should be fine.

Unable To Connect To Printer Wirelessly Through Network?

Jan 14, 2011

We have 2 computers the main one running OS XP and mine running Vista. Previously, we had no problems with my computer finding the main on the network along with the printer. But now the main computer can see mine (printer and PC) but I cannot connect to the main. Mine does not see the printer nor the PC. We are both running the same virus protection, which is Norton. I really want to use the main computer's printer, which I was able to do until for some reason now I go into networking and it is not there. I know it is marked as shared. When I go into setup network printer and type the name of the printer a window pops up "The printer sever spooling service is not available". I have uninstalled the printer software and drivers and reinstalled but still not showing up on the network?
When I click print a document the printer I am looking for is there but it shows as offline, which it is not. I am not 100% sure but seemed to occur when we switched from Mckfee to Norton?

Linksys Cable / DSL :: X5000 Connecting Wirelessly To Network But Not Internet

Mar 7, 2013

I have a Linksys X5000 hooked up with my home pc.  The internet I get is free though the private school's network I work at (across the street) through a LAN.  With a bit of wrestling I got my desktop to connect with the internet through the Linksys like an ethernet switch.I can't get my wireless devices to connect with the internet without logging in as a guest, which is annoying to do every time, especially through my iPod.  They  will gain access to my network, but not the internet.
Since this is a school network, my IT guy gave me a static IP address to speed up up/downloads by disabling DHCP.  Every time I try to do that I get a message that "the page at says the value can't be equal."  OK, so I try to change my router's IP to luck, same message. I love working with hardware, but networking is beyond me.  I don't think I can log into the guest screen in my own house any more!  I am getting a new tablet in 2 days and this just won't do.

Access Internet Using Wireless Network And Printer Using Separate Wired Network At Time?

Apr 4, 2012

I have 4 computers (3 laptops, 1 desktop) in a shared office. We get internet access using their wireless network. All works fine. However, I need to share a printer amongst all of the computers. The printer is LAN enabled and I would normally just put all the PCs on a hub, together with the printer and share it that way. BUT my question is can we access the internet using the wireless network and the printer using a separate wired network at the same time?

Connecting To Printer That Is On Another Network?

Jan 23, 2013

We have a Verizon T1 line providing internet for our backoffice network. On this network, we have 4 network printers that are shared between the facility. We recently opted to go with new web based software that neccesitates a high speed internet connection, and 12 wireless devices across the building. We signed a contract with Comcast Business Class internet, so that in the event of an external failure with one ISP, we would have the other offer redundancy with the new wireless router. It has now become clear that our nurses that are on the Comcast wireless network, now need to print from their wireless devices regularly. At the time this is obviously not possible, because the network printers are only on our backoffice network. Buying a wireless inkjet printer is out of the question. How can I make this happen? All of the printers have a local static IP on our backoffice network (Verizon). I have heard of software that will essentially send the print job to another computer, which would relay the print job to the designated printer.

D-Link DIR-655 :: Can't See Hard-Wired Printer On Local Network

Dec 18, 2010

I recently purchased a DIR-655 and everything's working fine -- Internet access, visibility of local shares, etc. -- with the one except accessing to my printer (Brother MFC-7440N) that's hard-wired to a port on the router. After installing the latest PC SharePort Utility on my two Windows 7 desktops, they're both able to connect and use all of the features of the printer (print, scan, etc.). However, I can't say the same for my two Macbook Pro's connected via WiFi (802.11N).  I installed the latest Mac SharePort Utility on both, but neither can "see" the printer.  Caveat:  If I connect the laptops via a LAN cable (ie. hard-wired directly into the router), they're able to see the printer.  how to configure the router (or Mac) to allow them to see the printer?

Cisco VPN :: RV082 Connecting A Network Printer To Access Over VPN

May 15, 2011

I have recenly installed a RV082 with two ADSL modems connected to Broadband lines. Access to our networks is done via VPN accounts configured on Windows Vista laptops. The VPN network works fine and everyone has access to their network data and the Intranet/Internet.
I'm having problems with connecting a network printer to access over the VPN. We have managed to get a IBM1532 network printer working using the following network details by allowing the IP address of the printer through our VPN network/firewall.
We had to connect a Xerox C2424 workstation printer on site, so we configured the device using the same network details as the IBM printer, connected it to one of the available ports on one of the Broadband modems but we could not get the printer to be seen or connected to using this setup.
However I connect  my own Home Laptop PC configured with the IP port settings above directly to the same modem as the Xerox printer this works but only after we changed the IP gateway address on the printer to match the modem.
If I switch on DHCP on the printer it finds the IP gateway address of the RV082 but will not allow us to send anything to it.As the ADSL lines are on a Dynamic IP rather than Static.

Can Link Wirelessly But Not Wired

Oct 31, 2011

I'm currently using an orange livebox which has been pretty reliable in the past. My set up is livebox > homeplug > homeplug > linksys wireless router > into 2 pcs.Its odd because my pcs have trouble detecting the wireless router, however my laptop can link up no problems.I have plugged my laptop directly into the livebox via ethernet and it works fine so I can rule out the livebox. I've also swapped the cables and they all work ok.Basically, it does link up intermittently and runs perfectly, but then after a day, or even 10 minutes it disconnects and I have a nightmare getting it to work again. I went through the entire cable system and got right to the end and hey presto it all I plugged my pcs back in. Then after about 10 mins it lost the network connection and I couldnt even link up to the livebox router by keying in The laptop CAN connect wirelessy and access the config pages.
