DLink DGS-3100 Switches And Fortigate Firewall / Router?
Jan 11, 2012
DLink DGS-3100 POE switches? I'm working for a place that has these and they are wanting to invest in a VOIP system. I've never seen these type of switches before, and would like some feed back before I roll out a 70+ phone VOIP system. They are managed switches but are all running un-managed at the moment.
They are also using a Fortigate 80cm Firewall/Router. I'm not familiar with this device either.
I'm missing layer 3 as I can't setup any VLan's with this equipment.
My d-linl router was not working and I pushed reset button and it went back to factory setting. I don't know what the factory setting is and I want to put my own password but don't know how. I have Window 7?
I have one Fortigate 200B Fire wall, which is using for wifi internet. i had configured one login page in the fourtigate .The path following below system > config > replacement message > authentication > login page.
it was working earlier. suddenly its not working. when i checked this path, that login page message colum was blanked. when i trying to put the message again its not pasting and am unble to type the message also.
At 9:15 each night my DLINK router drops the signal.I've tried to unplug it but that doesn't work but it is working again each morning. I can plug directly into the cable modem and it works so I assume it is fine.Is there a time setting on the router?
The router's software was installed on our desktop years ago and now, the desktop is quite old and we have to sell it. I need to know if we need to reinstall the software again in probably in one of the laptops at home.
We had to send our Canon Pixma MP830 all in one printer in for repairs, and we have an mx870 loaner. The MP830 was connected directly to the desktop computer and to a lap top in another room via a dlink router. But we do not know how to get the lap top to recognize the MX870. We tried adding it and entered the name Canon Pixma M870, and the program does not accept the name.
I recently got a refurbished external (USB) wireless adapter by Netgear. It's the WNA3100 but who knows what they did to it while refurbishing it.
I tried using it to connect to the wireless network at my university, and I got the above-displayed error. So what's the deal? This RADIUS thing is not a new technology, right? So any modern wireless adapter should be able to handle it. Why would this thing not support it?
Secondly, if it doesn't work, that's alright. I need a second wireless adapter anyway, so I could use this one at home where the RADIUS thing is not an issue. But how do I make sure this does not happen again with another one that I buy? I can't seem to find anywhere in the specs anything about this compatibility. For instance, I believe I want to get this one next:URL
I have 4 desktops cat5 to Dlink DIR 615 router. All work fine. Any wireless clients, laptop or netbooks, see the desktop computers for a while then disconnect somehow. All machines can see the Internet through the router at all times. The desktops disappear from the laptop/netbooks but the wireless machines can be seen from the desktop computers but clicking on them gets 'Access Denied' message after a wait.3 desktops = XP, 1 98SE. All laptop/netbooks = XP
EA4500 router setting currently I am on an single fix IPs network, Internet access filtering by a Fortigate gateway, some IPs has Internet access, most of the IPs without, and we like to keep it that way.may I know what is the proper way to configure the newly added EA4500 router to working with "Guest Access" and my existing fix IPs network?
I have a Cisco Catalyst 3100 blade in a Dell server chassis that is trunked to a 6509.
When doing a protocol capture, I see large frames being sent from one of the servers in the chassis.
TCP:[Continuation to #1701] [Bad CheckSum]Flags=...AP..., SrcPort=HTTP(80), DstPort=2667, PayloadLen=2831, Seq=1489611217 - 1489614048, Ack=1719592331, Win=65535 I see lengths up to 6900+ bites coming from the server.
The switch has the global MTU set to 1500
system mtu routing 1500
and I can't seem to set this at the interface level. The server is configured to send 1500 length frames. Why am I seeing these jumbos? (the server is Windows 2003)
I had this small internet cafe with 15 units pc. and browsing the web is not that stable. i have to unplug the internet modem everytime i can't connect to the internet.I think it has something to do with the settings that was in the router since it was just configured by a tech guy which i think not 100% sure of what he did, though it can connect to net for sometime but most of the time it is down.
I have issue with connectivity 3750G with Dlink Switch, it cannot connect to non-cisco switch with fiber , But CISCO to CISCO switch it shows connectivity. My question is that is there any configuration on Cisco 3750G switch to connect with non-cisco switch through fiber (SFP) ?
My modem is an Arris Model TM502GI don't remember how to set it up. That is what cable goes where & is there anything to do on the PC With WiFi for it to connect with my router?I am 70 years old with a limited knowledge of computer and other electronic gadgets.
I've set up a VPN using a fortigate 50b wifi and forticlient ipsec VPN. when I log into my office from home, I cant see anything on my network at all. I can however remote desktop into other PC's and can access stuff that way. I was under the assumption that ... one a VPN connection is made in the LAN you should be able to see other pcs and servers in the workgroup. Is this not the case or do i need to configure something?
I have been putting up with rubbish wireless signal down one end of my house now for quite some time. So I thought I have a spare wireless router and I could put it down there but I am sure ts not as easy as just plugging it and away you go.
Router 1 is a D-Link DIR-655 Router 2 is a D-Link DI-524
I need to know how to setup Router 2 so it basically become just a wireless access point
I'm looking to upgrade our main router/firewall with something that has more throughput. This unit has 2 DMZ zones, internal switch and 2xWAN connections which is pretty handy as I'm utilizing all of them. How to resolve the issue of having a firewall and router in one device,What would be the replacement solution if I were to decide for Cisco solution? What is the best practice?
i want to conect my Dir 655 as Wifi to my LAN, i had a fortigate 50b as DHCP and Dlink Switch 10/100 as LAN Switch when i trie to conect the DIR 655 i disable the DHCP, UnP and Firewall. i put a local IP to DIR "192.168.0.221" and the fortigate has "192.168.0.23" then connect the dir to fortigate by LAN Port... when i trie to access via WIFI, dosent work..
I have set up an ipsec tunnel between a Cisco ASA 5505 and a Fortigate 80c. The tunnel is set up as I execute pings from inside behind ASA to inside behind FG, however I cannot get connectivity to hosts behind the Fortigate (traffic is allowed through policies configured on the FG). What I noticed in packet tracer is that traffic is dropped at the step 'Vpn lookup' To troubleshoot I have configured a test ('fake') vpn connection through the vpn wizard and get the same result in packet tracer. I run 8.4 software on the ASA and this is part of the relevant config.
