New corporate Latitude D600 with Dell installed Cisco mini 350 wireless b card. Getting "Not Associated" status. Dell will not support this card.... %^&$%.
Using a Netgear wireless g router for home office. Attached are a Gateway hard wired and a Toshiba laptop with a Netgear wireless g card. Both are working great. Netgear says router is OK and it supports both b and g. Toshiba laptop identifies every wireless in my neighborhood but the D600 and Cisco cannot detect any signal. I have tried with and without security and every combination setup. Cisco has attempted to correct this problem but are still baffled. When I enable the Cisco card via the network and dial-up setting, it tries to initialize and then posts a message that the "network cable is unplugged"

View 3 Replies View RelatedI haven't installed anything new lately, nothing that would affect the wireless, but my wireless suddenly stopped working. My wireless has been working successfully for the past 2 years no problems till now. I have a Dell Latitude E6410 my computer is running Windows 7 32bit. When I open up the DW WLAN Card Utility it says "There are currently no wireless adapters available and enabled. Please enable any available wireless adapters before accessing this configuration utility. I tried reinstalling drivers for the wireless but my computer says "no compatible hardware found".
Also the under the wireless adapters section of Device Manager there isn't an adapter for wireless, but there is an unknown device.

I've tried to use computer restart magic but no luck there.
Also, my computer is running on a university network. My roommate's wireless is working fine. Also I've already system restored to a point where I know it was working, no luck...
I have a recently rebuilt D600 running XP Prof XP3 full patched. The machine was a clean build on a new disk about 2 months ago and all has been working well (excepting the Fujitsu HDD which seems to be going bad as I type, but that's a different issue!).i was offer via Microsoft Update: "Dell driver update for Dell TrueMobile 1300 WLAN Mini-PCI Card" 2 days ago (mid August 2009). This is a Dell supplied update distributed via MS. Also offered (and installed) at the same time was "Darfon - Other Hardware - Bluetooth Devices". Since installing these (and the installs reporting as completing correctly) I keep getting:Dell Wireless WLAN Card Wireless Network Controller encountered a problem and needed to close.and Dell Wireless WLAN Card Wireless Network Controller has encountered a problem and needs to close.rror dialogues. These pop up every 30 seconds or so and seem to be related to the Dell TrueMobile 1300 update.Looking in the Windows directory there is no uninstall directory for this update unlike the MS updates. So I now either need to:get the updates to work properly Remove the updates and get back to a working condition if you wonder why I applied the updates...why repair something that's already working...I have had Bluetooth sporadic connection issues with this laptop with a BT GPS unit. The same BT GPS unit works perfectly on a D610 but on this D600 after initial connection there can be repeated connection loss requring the BT GPS unit to be moved around, after which BT connection is re-established only to fail a while later. As the same GPS works without problem with the D610 my presumption has been the issue is a BT stack issue on the D600 BT implementation.
View 2 Replies View RelatedA while back my faithful old IBM ThinkPad became very slow under the weight of too many applications and updates so I replaced it. Now I have decided I would like to revive it mainly as a games machine for my young grandson, so I wiped everything off it and reinstalled Windows XP Home Editon (it previously had XP Pro). It used to access the net via a wireless LAN card (IEEE802.11b/g) and this worked fine. I am now having difficulty reinstalling this device. I thought XP would just pick it up but it doesn't. I tried downloading a driver onto a memory stick using my new laptop but that doesn't work either.

When I press the wireless switch I only see my wi-fi connection. I have checked device manager and no bt shows there. Also when I type 'bttray' under the start menu nothing shows up in the search.
Is this laptop even able to support bluetooth? I have searched through many other similar questions and have been unable to find any info on this for the n7010.
BTW: Windows 7, x64... let me know if you need other info.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got a Latitude E4310 recently, which had a dead HDD. I had to put my own drive into it and load my own copy of Windows 7 Pro onto it. Everything works, except wifi. I have tried every driver available for this model, but they just say something along the lines of the laptop not having compatible hardware. And yes, the switch on the side is on, and I have tried it in either position. In device manager, I see nothing along the lines of 'wireless card'.I even tried putting in my own mini-pci-e wifi card, an intel wifi link 5100, fully installing all drivers and software. That didn't work either - it picked it up and all the intel drivers installed but in device manager it said it 'couldn't start'.Does this model come standard with wifi? Do I have to go and buy a special dell wifi card and install that?I also have 2 Latitude E4300 laptops which I am about to put new HDDs into and set up, which I believe will have the same issue.
