Dell Latitude - Internet Keeps Connecting And Disconnecting

I'm having a problem using this Dell Latitude. It's always having these connection fits where it randomly disconnects & then reconnects to our wireless internet. I'm always seeing the internet icon in the toolbar either on "Acquiring network address" or "Not connected", and when the internet is working, the icon doesn't even show up in the toolbar. This keeps on stopping me from doing stuff like posting in forums (I was lucky to be able to post this :P), logging into my email, etc. This problem, however, never existed on the Compaq, so I know it's not the signal. Is there any way to keep it from disconnecting constantly?

I just purchased a used Latitude E5420. It looked like the seller did a fresh reinstall of Windows just before selling it to me. The non-internet applications are working fine, but it's not connecting to my home wireless router. I have a Buffalo WHR G-125. I tried pretty much every type of security type, but nothing worked, so I eventually disabled security and set up MAC filtering, after which I put in the MAC address for the laptop. That still didn't solve the problem.
It does connect to my neighbor's unsecured linksys network. Both the neighbor's network and mine are 802.11g
I went to Intel's website and installed the latest drivers for the network card, but that didn't work. I'm using the latest firmware on the router already.
Here are the specs for the laptop
Win 7 Professional 64-bit
Intel Core i5 2520M @ 2.50 Ghz
16 GB RAM

I have a very interesting problem, that I cannot figure out at all after trying test after test. The problem in a nutshell:I connect a wireless access point to our network and within 10-15 minutes any wired LAN users internet connection goes down, yet the wireless internet works fine.Here is how our small business network is setup:1. We have a Server 2000 that serves as our companies domain controller and DHCP (I know, I know..dated). We also have another server on our network, which is a Server 2003, which is primarily a backup domain to our Server 2000 and hosts Quickbooks that our employees use and a small intranet website via ISS. We are connected to a router from our ISP with a gateway IP of 192.168.1.2. Our ip address structure is 192.168.1.xxx and subnet is 255.255.255.0.
2. I have configured the AP to be just that, an access point to broadcast wirelessly and made sure that DHCP is turned off on the router. I set it to a static ip of 192.168.1.215 and subnet of 255.255.255.0 and our default gateway of 192.168.1.2. Once I connect it, everything works fine for about 20-30 minutes, then our LAN internet goes down. The Wireless G access point that I am using is a TP-Link Model TL-WA501G.

latitude 620 had a virus and deleted a few entries i thought were not needed. now i cant connect to internet hard wired or wireless.i dont have a system disk. below is my configuration.

I finally moved on from my Dell Latitude, I purchased a Lenovo today.Just set up Windows 7 on it, but I am having a real problem...I have looked everywhere on the Internet for a fix and can't seem to find it.I am trying to connect to my home network, belkin54g, but am being told "No Internet access." Under Device Manager, I have two network adapters listed, a Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter and a Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller. My network is set up as such...My dad's Mac has the router/modem wired to it, and every other computer connects wirelessly. MY connection is set up as a Windows 7 "Home" network. When hovering over the wireless icon thing at the bottom right of the screen, it gives the network name in bold, then No Internet access in italics right below. I am connected to the home network for sure though, because when I view devices on this network, I see my brothers laptop listed. Most recently I tried to do a Winsock reset from the Command Prompt, but it didn't work.

I have a Dell Latitude E6420. My computer had Windows 7 and I re-imaged it with Windows 7 (because of a procedure for work, something about removing myself from their network.. I was just following the directions I had been given). Since the re-image, I cannot connect to the internet whatsoever. With a cable or wirelessly. My computer recognized the wireless networks I had at my house before the re-image, but there is no longer a wireless adapter even under my "network adapters." Moreover, every single "Other device" has a yellow exclamation point next to it. I cannot connect to any internet at all to remedy the problem and am at a loss for what to do.

My Dell Latitude D600 recently stopped accessing the internet, even though I have a strong wireless signal and connection. I have had the laptop for 3 months now with no problems up to this point. I have followed some of the troubleshooting suggestions from other posts, but to no avail. My ipconfig looks like it should be right, and I can post that upon request. The Intel Pro/wireless LAN 2100 3A Mini PCI Adapter status says it is working properly, and the drivers are up to date

I have a dell latitude d600 laptop running on windows xp home edition. We are using a small office network with y computers connect the laptop being the third and I am connected via wireless connection. I can connect to our network printer and the other 3 computers without a problem but I cannot go ontothe internet. I have an ip address 10.0:0:9 which is within our LAN range and my subnet mask is 255.255.255.0. I cannot also setup outlook and if I ping sites like google .com I get the reply 'could not find host'

My main computer is an apple mac and it is connected to the internet via a sky router. I have two lap tops one connects to the wirless network this one a dell latitude d620 does not. The icon in bottom right corner states wireless connection not connected but i have tried everything but it just wont connect. I can connect by using a local area connection by connecting the lap top to my router?

I had to reformat a Dell Latitude D830 with XP Pro SP2 due to a trojan. After XP was reinstalled, I inserted the cds which contain the drivers and such for my system. I installed the drivers and utilities, but for some reason when I plug my ethernet cable into the laptop, it says there is "Little or No Connectivity". I plugged the same ethernet cord into the desktop I am currently using, and it works just fine. The connection comes straight from the wall to the computer with no router or modem involved.

I have a Latitude E6400 running Windows 7. Yesterday I was able to access the Internet with no problem. Today, I show that I have established a network connection with my Netgear router but I have no Internet connection. My wife has a Toshiba laptop and she has an Internet connection over the same network so the issue must be with my machine.

My PC can't seem to keep the wireless connection for longer than a few seconds without it trying to reconnect and eventually drop again. Other family members' PCs don't seem to have this problem and my laptop also has a stable connection.
I used to have no problem connecting, but this problem arose one day. My house uses Verizon FIoS, the router is a Netgear R3600 and my PC uses AVG.
The picture has the signal showing up, but then it disappears seconds later only to reappear again.

I have an old Dell Latitude D620 and have Just upgrade my wireless deal with BT to Infinity with a new BTHomeHub3.0. The Dell will connect to the internet and I can see it's working because some of my programs can use the internet to function but when I try to use the internet it just stops loading at 5 bars on IE but then stops. I have tried a system restore but this has not done anything and tried a different browser but the same thing has happend.

I have Dell Latitude D620 and bought it refurbished, I did NOT recieve a backup drivers and utilities disk with the laptop. The computer worked fine for about a year I had no problems accessing the Internet at all. Then it crashed and I had to reinstall Windows XP. After reinstalling Windows XP it will not connect to the Internet at all. Even with the ethernet cord directly to the modem. Since it will not connect to the internet I can not do a diagonostics to see what driver it needs. I have tried downloading a few onto my other laptop and then use flash drive to install it on the Dell but have not had any luck with finding the correct driver. I am not that computer savvy and do not know what type of wireless card I even have.

I am using a wireless connection via router to access internet at home. When my Dell Latitude E6510 Laptop is not on the Dell Docking Station and I'm using as just standalone I can access my wireless connection easily, no problem at all.However, when I attached my laptop to my Dell Docking Station, I can not access my wireless connection. The wireless connection is found, but when I click connect to network, I get "Windows cannot found network". When I remove the laptop from the docking station, I find the wireless connection and connect perfectly and it works normal.I am using Windows 7. I can connect to internet with straight wire going to docking station easily, but no wireless connection found when laptop is on the docking station. I work from home and use the docking station for two monitors for doing my job. I have struggle with this problem for two weeks now. I don't see anything on the docking station that's preventing me from access my wireless connection.

I have a Dell Laptop Latitude 610 and I have not been able to connect to the Internet via the ethernet cable port for some four months now. I've tried downloading software from Dell's web site, I bought (and returned) and USB to Ethernet cable, only to find out that it was a model ahead of what this machine needs.I've asked local repair place (Microcenter) what it might be, but they'll only tell me after I pay $70 just to open it up.Another repair guy said that it is probably the motherboard and it wasn't worth fixing. My Latitude D630 has been dropping internet connection all the time for the past three days. I looked up similar problems on this blog: a) cleared the DNS cache, b) downloaded windows XP- service pack 3, & 3 network software recommended for my laptop by Dell from the website and updated to the Intel PROSET/Wireless WIFI connection utility, d) ran ipconfig/all from C prompt and know the ethernet connections are disabled, e) called and checked with our local ISP and cleared the connection from their end. To sum it, I have tried everything I know and am still not able to maintain a steady connection to the net using WIFI. However I am able to connect using the cable to the router, so my net provider said the problem is with the wireless connection on the laptop. I didnt have this problem before.

when ever i try to talk on Skype or play games online my internet constantly disconnects.when it does i go to my wireless connection area and troubleshoot for problems with wireless connection 1 2 and local network area and it finds an issue with wireless connection 1.it then "fixes" it and tells me "problem with wireless adapter or access point"-fixed but then it just stops working literally a minute later and tells me the same thing when i try again.I have a dell inspiron 620 with a radeon 6670 that i installed inside of it. i am not using Ethernet connection im using wireless.

My Dell Inpsiron 1545 suddenly stopped connecting to the internet at home and at home through the wireless connection. I can still connect via ethernet cable. Since the problem occurred, I have replaced the wireless card and reinstalled the drivers. It connects to the router, but says no internet available. I have a Dell Optiplex 780 running Windows XP and a wireless router model 7500 from Verizon. I recently bought this desktop and want to use my old one so the kids can play games on it. However I can't connect to the internet with the old system. I tried running a USB cable from the wireless modem to the old system to no avail. I was recently given a Dell XPS 600 computer as a hand-me-down and wished to update it to Windows 8. It was previously running XP Service Pack 3, 32-bit. The installation went well, but my network and audio drivers were wiped out. I've been doing some research and searching and found the page with the drivers that I need. As long as I can connect to the internet I know the rest of the issues can be easily fixed. url...

On a Dell Inspiron 1545, the internet stopped connecting. I updated all of the networking drivers and that did not work. The 'repair wireless network connection' does not work, it tries to repair it then stops at 'renewing your IP address'. It has nothing to do with the wireless network, because we are at a university and only this computer will not work.

My ethernet was working fine when I shut down my computer then all of a sudden it rebooted and gave me a blue screen. I rebooted it and it started but then it was not able to connect to the internet. The pci adapter driver was not there. I reinstalled it and it still would not connect. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, changed the ethernet cord for a new one and tested the new cord on a different device with no problem but stil cannot connect. It says network cable is unplugged. This happened before and the dsl technician was able to get it to work again unfortunately I have no idea how but it had something to do with the configuration.
