I have tried to open ports, but if I use the [URL], I just get the closed. I have tried to use the Viritual server function, but can`t se to get it open.

I have a Time Warner Cable business class service with no static IP, with a wireless modem which is plugged to a CAT5 distribution panel. On the jacks (2 other rooms on the house) I have a Linksys E3000 and a Linksys Valet router for signal boost and gadgets usage (TV, cameras, etc).The main router (TWC) has it's own external IP which TWC assigns to me and internally distributes via DHCP the range 192.168.0.x. With that said:
- The E3000 has a 192.168.0.6 IP -- this is fixed setup on the TWC router (ubee brand) by MAC address
- The Valet has a 192.168.0.7 IP -- this is fixed setup on the TWC router (ubee brand) by MAC address
- The main router has the 192.168.0.1 as the gateway and web-interface
Whenever I connect something to the E3000, it is distributing the 192.168.1.x range and the valet 192.168.2.x range.That works perfectly for my home based business until I decided to use more stuff on the network such as a IP printer, IP cameras, etc.
- The IP cameras are connected to the E3000 due to signal strength and I have manually assigned them the 192.168.1.15 and 192.168.1.16 IPs and ports 9001 and 9002.
- The printer is connected to the E3000 and I have manually assigned the IP 192.168.1.30.
Issue 1: Port forwarding On the main router (TWC - UBEE) I have tried to setup a port forwarding by informing the Local IP as 192.168.0.6 (E3000 IP), Internal Port 0, Public Interface IP (0.0.0.0), Ext Start Port 9001, Ext End Port 9001, Protocol - Both, Enabled Yes. On the E3000 I did the same config (screen shot attached e3000.png).This is not working properly. I can't get into the camera.
Issue 2: Printer/ The printer is only accessible if I connect to the E3000 (because it is on the 192.168.1.x network)
Issue 3: How to configure all the devices on the same subnet? If I want everyone to be on the 192.168.0.x network, how to configure properly the E3000 and the Valet? I have tried to force them into the same network but it would not work properly. It would not get an IP from the UBEE router (main).
I want to start using a VPN and would rather have my own server for it so was going to buy a kimsufi 2g with ubuntu installed on it, Have been looking on the openvpn website but cant find any tutorials on how to setup openvpn on ubuntu.

I cannot view live video from outside the router in any fashion other than mydlink.com's poor quality time-limited forwarded video. Here is what I have done.I have manually mapped four TCP ports through the router for accessing the cameras' web servers. This works--I can access the camera settings that way, albeit with NO SSL support (dammit). So, fundamentally, port forwarding works on this router. The "live view" accessed through the camera's web server does not work, though.I mapped port 554 on each camera to ports on the WAN side of my router, TCP and UDP.I have made sure that the external ports set on the camera under "Enable UPNP port forwarding" are the same as the external ports set on my router. (Otherwise the web server wouldn't work from outside.)When I access the mydlink web site from inside the LAN, I can view my video. When I run netstat -n -p tcp, I can see connections open to the local 192.168.0.* addresses of my cameras, so it is connecting via the LAN.If I connect to the Internet outside my LAN, and use the mydlink web site, I get the forwarded, mini-sized video with a 60 second limit. netstat reveals that connections are being attempted to the INTERNAL ip addresses of my cameras, which of course cannot succeed from outside. In addition, if I try to stream video using QuickTime Player from outside, using the URL [URL], the player connects, then says "waiting for stream" and then "switching transports." It gets stuck there and does not proceed. On the LAN, using the local IP address, I can stream video just fine.

I went to virtual server option. then i select application name as Remote desktop then public port as (3389), protocol (both), Schedule (Always).My lan computer ip address (192.168.0.122), private port (same 3389), inbound filter (allow all). then i clicked save settings. But I also need reverse rule that packets originating from intAddr:8888 are translated to extAddr:8888. Can I do that? What technique can I search on google to find more information, because it is not port forwarding. I would calll it reverse port forwarding or static port address translation, but I do not find anything useful in internet searching these keywords.

Now the matter is, as the server uses a shared internet connection which is always very slow,I decided to have a dedicated internet connection in the server by adding an extra NIC.but what happens is when the outsiders try to connect to the dedicated internet connection IP address,the port 2230 is not forwared to the server pc.If I dissable LAN in this PC then the outsiders are able to connect.
Camera set up with the Beta Mac wizard connected via ethernet on Airport base. Wireless security WPA2 Personal. Using DHCP. AirPort Utility 5.5.2, OSX 10.6.6.I can see the cam with the myDlink Lite iPhone (4) App when I am in my house with my wireless network. When I am out, away from my network, the App can't connect to the cam, tells me to check my network settings. View 1 Replies View RelatedThe problems looks like this: I'm able to browse the web without any problems until at random points of time - might be 2 hours after I turn on my PC or 5 or even half an hour the port 80 gets blocked - actually more like it hangs it self. As whatever I try to open i get "waiting for response" going and going. It's not even returning "page not found" error or anything. To top everything all other ports work fine - i can use https, ping run tracert - no problem there.

View 2 Replies View Related I have 2 internet services with separate ISPs. My local telephone exchange is somewhat dated so the maximum speed per ISP/connection is about 1 Gbps. I have streaming radio services, I do quite a bit of file downloading and there multiple devices currently trying to share a single connection. I haven't been able to utilise the second connection because my NAS and print serving is all configured on the first connection and therefore unavailable to users/services on the second connection.My goal is to utilise the available capacity of both connections but at the same time allowing all network resources (file and printer sharing, NAS drives, etc.) to be available jointly to all network clients.
My first router is a Netgear RangeMax ADSL modem/wireless router (DG834PN). This connects directly to one ISP and has the NAS and printers attached. The second router is a Netgear N600 wireless dual band router (WNDR3400) which attaches to a Linksys ADSL 2 Gateway with 4-port switch (AG241 v2) and then to the second ISP.As an aside, I also have a number of Devolo devices for utilising the electrical circuit for networking purposes. I have the dir-615 router and cannot get the printer to show up on my home network.Printer works fine hard wired to pc but wireless not at all. The ip address of the printer is 169.254.147.xx while everything on my network is 192.168.0.xx. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a TP-Link TL-WR720N wireless router, and I am trying to set it up so that it limits the times that my kids can access the internet. I have included screenshots of all of the programming pages, so you can see exactly what I am looking at. Here is what I have done so far:
Schedule: I created several schedules for different days, weekdays, weekends, start at 1900, end at 2100, etc.
Host: I created a host name titled "All", and set it for 192.168.0.3 ~ 192.168.0.199. The router assigns from 192.168.0.2 thru 192.168.0.199. I assigned my computer's MAC address as the "Parent PC", and bound it to 192.168.0.2, through the "IP and MAC Binding" function. In this manner, I hope to limit the kids access, while allowing the parent PC to access it at any time.
Rules: I selected the option to "Allow" passing of packets during these hours. I then created rules, assigning the host "All" to the different schedules that I created. I set the target as any, and did not set up any targets in the target section, because I do not want to control what sites they visit (yet, anyway). I generally don't worry about the sites they visit, I just think they spend too much time on the internet.
Here is what happens. I use my laptop (not the parent PC) as a test machine. When trying to access the wireless, i have verified that the router does give me an IP address within the specified range I created in the schedule. If I set the Access Rule to "Allow" the packets to pass through the router, and try to connect during the time it is set for, it will not allow my laptop to even connect. The weird thing is, if I set it for "deny", I can connect, but I have no internet access. Either way, if I have any of the rules enabled, I cannot access the internet at all. Thinking maybe there was some sort of conflict with schedules, I tried enabling only one of the rules instead of all of them, with no change.
What am I doing wrong? Do I need to set targets? If so, does this mean I have to set one for every site I want them to be able to visit? Can I set a target as the IP address of the router? If so, what ports do I use?
I've been trying to set-up DMZ for my DSL-2542B-SE_1.00_06112008.
But the problem is when I access my IP from WAN, It connects to Router Control Panel, I have set DMZ IP as 192.168.1.2 which is the my computer where I have the Server set-up.
Now I've disabled DMZ but still I can access to my router from WAN through my IP.
i have a little network knowledge but the tp-link wa-500g is proving quite a challenge to set up.i am trying to set it up in client mode to use with the xbox 360.thhe problem is i seem to set everything up correctly but it doesnt actually seem to work or to connect to the main router..which is a sky sagemfast router...(could this maybe be the problem? and if so how could i sort this? i have set a static ip on the tp.link and set up in client mode and "supposedly" connected to the main router in which is hard to figure out if it has or hasnt...also my sky router has wpa security and i am wondering if something has to be configured in my tp-link wa-500g to connect? but i can find no information on this needing to be done.
