How to open a port in ISA 2006, step by step?So for example, if you wanted to open port 22559 incoming from either anyone or a static IP, NAT'd to an internal IP, what would be the steps? The setup is SBS 2003 Premium edition, two NIC's, DSL on the external NIC with a static IP.
I'm a newbie in wireless, recently I got a WLC2006 and AP1130 - IOS: 12.4(10b)JDE
- The AP has been changed LAP mode already - AP-manager port and management port are PORT 4 - I have configured the WLC's "Internal DHCP server"...
When I plug the AP to WLC port 2 and 3, it can get the IP address from DHCP however, when I plug it to WLC port 1, it gets nothing. and the IP address is 0.0.0.0
Does it mean the port is damaged already? Or can I do anything to check or enable the port 1 again?
I have only recently noticed a HUGE decrease in my Utorrent speeds, so i thought i would have a gander and lo and behold.apparently the port Utorrent uses wasn't open. Now, i have tried about 10 different port numbers, made sure Utorrent is being accepted by Norton 360 Firewall, followed complicated directions to (i think) foward ports, and also follow directions to open a specific port.Nothing has worked so far, Utorrent still comes back with a port closed error.
On our LAN we have a SBS server and Level Platforms server and soon to be another Ticket Server all hosting an app runnin on 443. OWA, Service Center and Spiceworks Help Desk.
Each has it's own URL: Remote.domain.com/owa Sc.domain.com/owa Support.domain.com
How can I forward Https to these servers? The one company said some Can port forward by URL another guy said you can forward to your internal dns
I have a netgear WNDR4500. What I want to do is stream video from my PC to my IPAD using a program I downloaded from the IOS Store. I simply cant seem to get the router to forward the port.
I will post 3 pics showing what I see on the router side and what the streaming program is asking erroring out. The program on my IPAD just errors out and does not see the PC at home at all.
I recently switched from cable to DSL and had to ditch the modem for a q1000 qwest router/modem piece. I have this setup in transparent bridge mode and the network runs through a linksys e3000 running Tomato Firmware RAF1.28.9007 MIPSR2_RAF K26 USB VPN-NOCAT.
With my previous setup I had ports opened for some games just fine, but since the switch I can't see any ports to the outside world. I set the ports forward in the q1000 and the e3000 (didn't think the q1000 needed them, but did anyways), but not sure what to try from there.
I have a new server that i wish to set as an ISA Server,I've created a new domain on it and set it as a dhcp server. As isa 2006 doesnt work on a 64 bits server what is a good firewall software substitute? My server specs are as follow HP Proliant G7 DL 360 Xeon,12gb memory with a 64bits 2008 r2.
My friend is trying to open port 88 and it says this specific message "The specified ports are being used by other configurations".I did a netstat, netstat -a, and another netstat that i forgot and we could find anything on his computer using port 88.His router is a Netgear wndr3400.
I have an IP camera (foscam). It's connected to my wireless router. My router is connected to my motorola cable modem. My isp is Cox.I want to be able to view this camera from outside (ie: when I'm at work) by going to http://(my real ip) : (port). Port that I use is 88. I can't seem to do this.
First I set the port 88 to the camera's config. I can see the camera when I'm at home (going to 192.168.1.106:88). Reading the manual, I need to forward the port 88. So I go to my linksys wireless router 192.168.1.1 and single-port forward 88 UDP TCP (both) to 192.168.1.106.This doesn't solve the problem.I go to Open Port Check Tool and put in port 88 and it says I could not see your service on (my real ip) on port (88)
I have a say 'server', with win xp running on it. I want to open a port on the system so that that computer can be accessed within the network domain. for example when i open an internet explorer browser and type in [URL], i need to be able to connect to the /mls.net/eclispe.aspx present. so for that i have to be able to open a port
We have multiple CSS 11500 clusters. We have found that on all of them, if you try to open a session on any port to an IP address on the backend of the CSS, the CSS will complete the SYN-ACK-ACK session with the client. This happens regardless of whether there is something on that IP address or not.
Coming from any IP, if I try to telnet to ANY IP on the 10.2.2.0 subnet (whether or not there is an actual server on that IP) on any port (whether or not that port is open or not), the CSS will complete the initial connection. I have verified this using telnet to numerous ports and viewing the transaction in a packet capture.
Is there any way to shut this off? This is causing some licensing issues for our security folks that use a vulnerability scanner licensed on number of IP addresses.
i have 3g mobile dvr, put a sim card directly into it and it gets an ip address and you should be able to view it remotely but i cannot connect. i can ping the ip no problem and i checked that the port the dvr uses (9000) was also open on that ip and i used a locator to trace the ip and it pinpoints the ip to my isp's base so why i cannot connect to it
recently my brother has blocked some ports on our home router because he thinks i play too much video games. ( i actually dont play a lot ! ). He says there are alternative ways to make it work again and challenges me to figure out how to change the ports back to normal but he would not give me the access to the router, meaning i dont know the Login and password for it. Plus I am not allowed to reset the router to factory settings. For about three days I have been looking up ways to change the ports on my router through my computer but nothing has worked so far. I have a gaming tournament coming up and I really need to practice with my team but i cant get access to it.below is my system's information,
OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium, Service Pack 1, 64 bit Processor: AMD A6-3400M APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics, AMD64 Family 18 Model 1 Stepping 0 Processor Count: 4 RAM: 3560 Mb Graphics Card: AMD Radeon(TM) HD 6520G, 512 Mb Hard Drives: C: Total - 468745 MB, Free - 420932 MB; Motherboard: ASUSTeK Computer Inc., K53Z Antivirus: None
I am trying to host my own Minecraft server on my home desktop PC and I can't get my router to open port 25565 but it won't. I tried everything and I have concluded that my router's ports are all closed and can't open. I've tried using multiple DNS providers and DMZ but none worked. I have restarted my computer, restarted, rebooted, and reset my router and modem and still nothing. I have a Linksys e1000 router.
I've been trying to set up a customers security camera's for remote viewing. He has a HP running Vista, a netgear grt614 vs10 router, and a static IP address through Verizon. My problem is this. I set up port forwarding for port 80. All seems to work well sometimes and I can connect to his DVR no problem. Then other times I can't connect at all. I'll run a port checker and it will tell me port 80 is closed. Is it possible that Verizon will off and on block inbound port 80? I seem to only be able to connect during buisness hours. Is it possible that his PC needs to be on for the port to be open. The DVR is the server which is always on and the router is always on. I don't know why the computer would have to be on.
I've been trying to open ports to start a server on some games that I play.I used a guide that shows you how to set up the server and open up the port, but I can't get it to work.I've tried making an exception in my firewall, but that didn't work, so I tried completely disabling my firewalls. Nothing. I've gone into my router settings and opening a port this way: But it still doesn't open it up. This is what I'm using to check it.In fact, NONE of the ports are open it seems? No matter what port I try to type in on the port checker, it always gives me that same error.

I travel a lot and use wifi in a lot of different places (hotels, airports, etc.)My apps don't always work and I suspect that in some instances the broadband provider is blocking some of the ports I need.I don't need a port scanner like NMAP since that scans a target IP for listening ports. What I need is a way to figure out whether some firewall between my PC and the Internet is blocking specific UDP or TCP port ranges.
I have a DNS-323 that I can;t get my FTP to work. For some reason no matter what I try I can't open ports on the DIR-655I have the virtual server set as such. [URL]. Checked with open port tool.
I have Server 2008 R2 DC & One ISA server 2006 enterprise. im facing problem with DHCP unable to give DHCP IP from internal LAN. Its taking IP from External LAN IP i.e. connected to Linksys external Router which has DHCP enabled with different IP class i.e .class B. After shutdown client PC it will take 0.0.0.0 no IP will be assigned & says linited connectivity.
I have running a Wireless LAN Controller Cisco 2006.Today my management IP its public with Internet access. I am thinking in use a private IP without internet access. I have certains Access-Points in other building, that connect to AP Manager interface using Internet . When i see the tcp connections, i look that the access-point not only have TCP connections to AP Manager interfaces, it have TCP connections to Management interface too!!!.If i shutdown the connection between Management interface and Access-Points (mantaining the connection between Access-Point and AP Manager interfaces)?
I've got a Belkin wireless router and Windows 7. It's so I can use the application Gameranger as it requires UDP Port 16000 open. I don't have a static IP if incase I needed one tell me how to do that to.Here's the Gameranger link here:
I have an issue/doubt regarding the configuration of a modem + router. The modem is a netopia-3000 (who care ) and the router is a netgear WGR614V9, The first has the address 192.168.1.1, the second 192.168.0.1 My pc in dhcp take the address from the router (192.168.0.x) and internet work, but if I set the ip manually 192.168.1.x it stop to work, why?
I want to port forward, so i can broadcast using icecast but it requires me to access my router. I follow the steps from Setting a Static IP Address in Windows 7 - PortForward.com but from step 4 where i have to access my router in my browser,i write my ip which is: 10.0.0.4 according to cmd, and i just get a "Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to 10.0.0.4" message.I have attached a picture showing info from my cmd. It's in danish but i don't think that should be a problem.
