I've configured my rounter but am having a firewall issue, I think.I'm trying to connect remotely to an IP Camera.I've set the port forwarding on my router for port 8081 to forward to the IP of my camera.I've set the firewall aswell to allow traffic from the WAN to the IP of my camera.

I am trying to forward a port to see a camera over the internet. On the single port forwarding screen under Gaming, I have put in port 8090 (Ext and Int),Protocal both, an IP address and Enabled. I have also tried putting in a range, but neither seems to work. After forwarding the port, I check with What's My IP Addrewss to get the external IP, then put the IP in a blank browser page with and without the port number. I have tried this several times without any result.

I am wanting to access my IP camera over the Internet. I am not a computer wiz by any stretch and after a couple of failed attempts. My ISP is Comcast and they say that I have dynamic dns and should have no issues viewing my cameras. I know how to get to the port forwarding area of the router but am confused as to which ports to forward. The set up instructions for the camera (Airsight) suck. Screen shots of the set up don't match the actual router

I am trying to make my WampServer public but nothing i have tried so far seems to be working. It was all good and well before i got a new router from my new provider.
The router is a Huawei HG523a & my ISP is TALKTALK.
These are the settings i have for the port forwarding. Advanced->Advanced->NAT->Port Mapping
Mapping Name: WebServer(HTTP)
Interface: nas_0_38
Protocol: TCP
Remote Host:
External Start Port: 80
External end Port: 80
Internal Port: 80
Internal Host: 192.168.1.2
Enable: Enable
I have reserved the IP address 192.168.1.2 for my computer under Advanced->Basic->LAN->(Ip address Reserve).
I believe this is all i need to do for the router side of things.
Now for Apache: The .httpd file...
Listen 192.168.1.2:80
And that's everything. The problem is that when i put in my public IP address its not forwarding to my WampServer. its just going to the routers log-in page. If i put in my local ip then i get my servers webpage like i should.

I have set my Netgear WGR614 to a static IP, and I have tried port forwarding but I can't. I've tried disabling SPI Firewall and it still don't work. I have also tried enabling bridge settings on my connection in my modem settings, but that just wouldn't let me back on my internet. How I can port forward?I have a westell 610015.

Port forwarding on my linksys is not seem to be working from outside the network. It works fine if I try on the same network. External ip address: 69.117.132.xxx Ports from 8080 through 8080 forwarded Internal ip address: 192.168.1.150 - static ip address assigned to the webserver. I understand 80 could be blocked by the ISP. Can 8080 also be the same case?

My modem/router is Riger and model is DB108-WL. I had set Port Forwarding in my modem/router configuration page using web [URL] had disable the uPNP setting in both the modem/router and camera setting page. Besides, also disable the firewall on the modem/router and on my laptop (Windows firewall and McAfee antivirus)My camera static IP address details are listed as below:
IPv4 Address: 192.168.1.8
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1
Primary DNS: 192.168.1.1
Port number: 8080
I am able to access my IP Camera using local LAN network by using web [URL] but unable to access from external network WAN using internet by using web http://*External IP Address*:8080 My ISP provide a dynamic external IP address so my external IP Address will change each time I connect to internet network. To trace this, I used IPchicken website IP Chicken - Whats my IP address? ip address lookup to identify my modem/router Public IP address. I used my smartphone to access this external IP Address in order to prevent NAT Loopback issue but still can not access.
1) Do I need to have my host computer turn on at home in order for me to access the IP Camera from external WAN network which is internet from anywhere outside? Or just turn on my modem/router and IP Camera will do?
2) I had read a lot of blogs and forums from the past 2 weeks about Port Forwarding. From one of the forum, it mentioned need to setup 2 ports for Port Forwarding in order to get IP Camera access from external network. One for web interface which use port 80 and another one for video streaming which is port 1024. So, is it true for every IP Camera to configure 2 ports forwarding in order to get access from external network?
3) If I can access the IP Camera from local LAN network, does it mean my laptop Windows firewall and McAfee antivirus setting is ok for access from external network?
4)Is it a reliable method to use smartphone as a test to try out whether my setting is ok to access the IP Camera from external network? My smartphone is Android 2.3 OS and able to access the IP Camera when connected to my modem/router using WIFI (local LAN access). When key in external IP address using 3G network, it can not access.

I am using a MR3420 V2 together with a E398 modem. The connection works well, but I can't do any port forwarding (virtual server). Using another router (Tiny Dovado) with the same E398 modem works flawlessly to forward ports.

However for some reason (even after port forwarding the right one) people still can't connect. When I check on Open Port Check Tool - Test Port Forwarding on Your Router It still says that the port 25565 is closed!I've even created an Inbound and Outbound rule in the Windows Firewall advanced settings. I use Avira Anti-vir fyi..

Edit I've found a work-around. It's on page 2: [URL]
I'm having this really weird issue with my DIR-655 revB. I have some port forwarding rules set up and externally they work fine. However, if I try connecting to my IP address using those same ports from a computer within my LAN, it won't connect.
Externally, I can ping my WAN address and connect through forwarded ports. No problems. Internally, pinging my WAN address apparently works (just now is the first time that's worked for me), however I can't access any of my computers using the WAN IP and port forwarded ports. I can access them by going directly to their hostnames or LAN IPs.
Things I've tried:
-Disabling/enabling firewalls on all computers involved
-Disabling/enabling QoS engine
-Disabling/enabling DNS relay
-Disabling/enabling Advanced DNS
-Adding custom nameservers from Google and Comodo
-Restarting computers
-Clearing DNS cache (I use a dynamic DNS name which works externally but not internally. This gets the correct IP internally and connecting directly to the IP doesn't work either.)
-Modifying the NAT Endpoint Filtering settings
I have an external DSL modem connected to the router using PPPoE if it matters.
The weird part is that it works externally but I've modified all of the values I can think of in the config with no luck. I upgraded to the DIR-655 from a DIR-615 which had all these settings in it and worked fine (until it started acting up which is why I replaced it).

I have been trying so hard to get the following ports to work:
5120 - 5300
I have looked up countless guides, and have done everything in them, I have a static IP, I used the gateway to create the port forwarding rule, AND opened the ports on the windows firewall.
Nothing works. The port remains closed, and I can't host games. My modem is an Ambit U10C037
System Specs:
OS Version: Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 3, 32 bit
Processor: Intel Pentium III Xeon processor, x86 Family 6 Model 23 Stepping 6

First off, my router is a D-Link DIR-655, firmware v2.07. I'm trying to port forward port 25565.
My port forward settings are this:
However, when I use this open port checker, it claims that I don't have that port open. It looks like this, without the blurred out parts:
Added note: The way I want to use it is by my IP (xxx.xxx.xxx.154:25565). I have the software installed to do so (I'm using a minecraft server, connecting through minecraft), but I can't enter my IP in the IP address field, it says that it's out of the range of the LAN.

RV215W router port forwarding not working.Port forwarding works for a short period of time, then stops working. Reboot router, works again for short period of time, then stops again.
I have updated firmware to latest. I had seen other similar bugs posted for 220 and I think 180, not sure if this router has similar bugs and waiting for fix release to firmware.I had recently purchased two, one deployed, will hold off on other now because of issues, and may have to move to different unit if a resolution not found this week.

dosen't support my huawei E392 4G modem. if possible would you make bin for this. there is not other modems that you can get for 4G connections from the service provider so it would be nice if there was more compatibility than some old ancient modems. starts to feel like this is been sold as 4G router and dosen't actually support that at all.

I'm trying to find a router that can do port forwarding to other subnets. My current linksys has IP of 192.168.1.1, and only allows me to port forward to 192.168.1.x, but I need to forward to 2.x, 3.x, 4.x
I can see how to do this on the RV215W through the online emulator, but Cisco suggested I use the RV220W. Looking through the device emulator, I can't seem to figure out how I would set it up.

I am using an RV042 router/firewall -- firmware v1.3.13.02-tm -- connected to a cable modem.I have one public address (WAN1) assigned by my ISP's DHCP server. All my machines on the LAN have static IPs. (RV042 DHCP Server is disabled.)I have set up port (80) forwarding to 192.168.1.101 The HTTP port forwarding does work if an http client on the LAN sends a request to http://<public-ip>:80But I cannot get a response if I send a request to http://<public-ip>:80 from a machine on the WAN.
I did configure Access Rules to allow http traffic (and then tried to allow *all* traffic) between a single IP on the WAN and 192.168.1.101 The incoming log table shows a connection is made from the http client on the internet to the correct http server on the LAN, but there is no resonse from the LAN to the remote client. Is my configuration the problem, or is this feature not supported by the RV042 router? Could my cable modem be blocking outbound traffic?

how to: port forwarding to 2 different destinations based on incoming WAN port
The default HTTP service works fine: TCP80/80-> 192.168.0.55
I have a couple of IP security camera's I'd like to be able to access remotely that also listen on port 80. I tried TCP & UDP 8009/8009-> 192.168.0.9 without any luck. Not sure how to handle the port redirects on the RV042G? Seems simple and was on the Symantec, could be user training :-)
I was able to do port redirect with the Symantec Firewall I'm replacing.

Is it possible to create a service which will forward public port 9010 to an internal IP address with port 23 ?

I have RV042 and E4200 routers . I tried the manual UPnP port forwarding using Rv042 router and was succesful ( by typing 192.168.1.1 in the explorer and logged in using user name and password )
I am using a linux embedded system whose Internal IP ,Internal port are mapped .This system is connected to one of the LAN ports
I want to try auto UPnP port forwarding both for RV042 router and Linksys E4200 routers
After enabling the Upnp option only and logging out ,Can i add a port mapping entry in this router without logging in using a C++ program which runs on linux embedded system .
