I've tried uninstalling the network adapter (after the common sense stuff), which appeared to fix the problem as I could detect the network but then when i tried connecting the message said windows was unable to connect to the network. I've also tried all the stuff I found on threads here but nothing appears to have worked

Oct 29, 2012Having an issue with a Cisco Linksys E1500 on a home network. The device has a feature to provide a guest wireless network but the guest network can't get to the internet. A wired connection is fine, as is the normal wireless network but not the guest. The cheesy thing is, that it doesn't list an option for what type of wireless security protocol you want on the guest network. I'm assuming that it uses the same security protocol that the normal wireless network uses, but who knowsEspecially weird is that it asks you what password you want on the guest network but then the guest network show to be insecure when you try to connectthought maybe it was something funky with some of my configurations so I went ahead and factory defaulted it and just set it up with an insecure network for both the normal and guest networks. This didn't solve it. The guest network still couldn't get to the internet. In fact, the guest network can't even ping the router.

Oct 3, 2011I have a wireless modem on the first floor of my house, where I got cables through the wall running throughout rooms in first floor, ground floor and basement.I have my small business at the basement, so I have 2 PCs one printer and one external hard disc which also connects directly to a modem/router.I have 3 PCs from the first and ground floor that connect through the wall to my modem, and everything works well. But for my basement, which only has 1 lan cable output on the wall, I got myself a router so that I can connect all my devices.I connect the router with my modem, and then the PCs, printer and hard disc on the router. The PCs have internet access, so I know the connection to the modem has nothing wrong to it. But I am not able to access the PCs connected to the router from the PCs connected to the modem, or vice versa.
I was told to not obtain an IP address automatically, so I assigned my modem and router to work on 192.168.10.x and gave my PCs IPs such as 192.168.10.19 Only after setting this up did all my PCs have internet access, but again, no network communication between PCs on modem and PCs on router.One thing that might be worth mentioning, is that through time, my network keeps going from Home Network: Network, to Network 2, Network 3, and so on... now it's on Network 5. I have no clue why this happens, and if it's related to my problem

Jan 16, 2013My internet comes to D-link 655 wireless router from there I have wired connection, one of the connection goes to a switch from this switch I connect wired devices in my office.Another connection from D-link 655 router goes to another wireless router in my living room which is a Linksys router. My few devices and a laptop connects to this router.My problem is I am not able to see the devices connected to my Linksys router from my office devices
