to grant not to show the certificate error adevertise to all clients connecting to guest services (because obviously they don't have the CA root certificate of our company), we have purchased a wildcard certificate from Verisign in order to work with all of our PSN Common Names and friendly url for sponsor and mydevices. But when I try to import it to more than one PSN the following error message is shown " The certificate already exists in the data base".How can I import the same certificate (with the same private key) in every PSN in a node group?

installing the Cisco NAC agent through the Active Directory Group Policy. (Windows 2008 R2)Currently Cisco NAC CAS servers has been installed, configured and the switches are added. But the ports are not active. Currently users are not passing through the NAC. When the ports are active and the users trying to access the network, the browser will ask the users to install the Cisco NAC Agent.I need t by pass this by installing the Cisco NAC agent through the active directory Group Policy. How to install the Cisco NAC agent (4.9.1) to all the users in the Network (Windows XP / 7 )through Active Directory so that the users will not know that the Cisco NAC agent has been installed in their computers. There is ASA with remote access VPN and users are authenticated using third party signed certificates (CA is not local in ASA).When user certificate expires i can see it in syslog messages. For example:

I would like to know if there is an opportunity to view user's certificate expiry date beforehand, say, 3 days before?

I'm constantly seeing that the sync and replication status for my secondary admin/monitor node in the primary node as node not reachable. The secondary still thinks it is in standalone mode. When I run the ISE diag tool connectivity tests I am able successfully ping the devices from each other using both hostname and ip and the nslookup also works fine between both nodes. Ping and nslookups also work from different networks within the environment. The two nodes are in the same vlan on a 6500 vss pair but on different switches of the pair.

i'm stuck at registering inline posture node to primary node. I doing fresh install both ISE appliance using version 1.1.1, patched all 3 available patach version after install. AD and DNS were perfectly configure, ping using hostname able to resolve Everything set, so both PSN and iPEP generate CSR and ready to let CA server to signed. But anyway this is the outcome i get Error message "Unable to authenticate. please check server and CA certificate."
01. - What certificate template to be use primary node and inline posture node? I having problem the CA certsrv won't show computer template for inline posture node. can i use web server template and on the extension include client autthenticaiton andserver authentication on this case?
- What certficate template use for primay node CSR?
02. According to Cisco ISE user guide 1.1.1, it mentioned "Creating certificate trust list in Primary ISE Node"
So first action is importing Root and CA certificate . my rootCA.cer import to certification operation certifcate store, while CSR generated then Bind CA certificate. question, should i check anything like "Tust for client authentication" checkbox or any other option to be check? How about Inline Posture node, should i export the CA certificate and import to primary node's certificate store?

We have purchased "True BusinessID certificate" from Geotrust for our SSL VPN. Geotrust issued 2 certificates such as Web Server CERTIFICATE & INTERMEDIATE CA.
SSL vpn is being configured in Cisco ASA 5510 software version 7.2(3). Now we could successfully install INTERMEDIATE CA successfully to ASA but Web Server CERTIFICATE cannot install and gives the following error

I would like to ask, given that i got 2 units of ISE-3315 appliance, one need to be primary node for admin-policy service-monitoring, another unit then become Inline posture node.For the preparation on line posture node, what shoud i do on it?
01. For the unit ready to become inline posture node, so I just boot it, install the OS from sractch (using version 1.1.1), then start the initialize setup etc, like Normal setup?
02. Before i regieter, what is the deployment nodes i should select for inline posture node unit? provided the admin-policy service-monitoring will become primary node, and registration for inline posture node will be next action.

I have a new Cisco Secure ACS 5.2 on a VM. We want to use it to for administrative access to our Cisco equipment with TACACS+. I am trying to map user permissions to different groups of devices based on active directory group membership, however it is not working.
I am using an LDAP (configured for secure authentication) external identity store. On the directory organization tab, I have confirmed the accuracy of the subject and group search base and the test configuration button shows that it's finding > 100 users and >100 groups.
On the directory groups page I have entered the groups according to the required format. cn=groupname1,ou=groups,dc=abc,dc=com
I have a rule based result selection under group mapping. I have two rules in the format below.

LDAP:Externalgroups groupname1
Result
Identitygroup1
I have the default group set to a identity group named other. My problem is, no matter what user attempts to authenticate, the Default rule is applied, and the user is put into the other identity group.This occurs when I log on as a groupname1 user, groupname2 user, or as user that is not a member of either of those groups. LDAP authentication works and the user is able to logon to the device.

I'm currently looking for a solution in order to restrict the modification of the host internal identity store (add or delete MAC host) per group. The default administrator roles does not include "per group restriction". Under the ACS I defined one group per department? My objective it to allow each department to access their ACS MAC database to add or delete MAC addresses as required.
How to restrict internal identity store per group?Do I need to create new roles? and how?I was not able to get an answer from the ACS ADMIN manual.

Trying to upgrade a pair of ACS servers from 5.2.0.26 base to patch 4. I have tried creating different repositiories that are SFTP, FTP, and Local. The secondary unit(ROTACS2) upgraded fine with no problems the primary(ROTACS) will not, see below.

It appears that the GPG key is not vaild on this primary server. The patches are in the repositories and I used the acsrepo repo to install on the ROTACS2 secondary server.I have looked through articles and the only mention is to not use TFTP, which I am not. I have also tried to apply patches 1-3 with the same results.

Currently I'm using a self signed cert issued by ACS. We are having an issue where occasionally we see in our Windows 7 logs that Windows did not like the self signed cert from ACS when doing dot1x authentication for our Windows 7 clients. We are using the built in dot1x client that comes with Windows and have the "Validate Server Certificate" unchecked but still see this error occasionally. I've tried issuing a CSR from the ACS server and going to Thwate and getting a test cert but everytime I paste the CSR into the field at Thwate I get an error about invalid cert type. You have to choose from a list of server types. I've tried several different ones. I've also tried issuing the request from a WIndows server and when I try and import the files I get a invalid key error. How to get certificate working from Thwate or Verisign?

Been tinkering around in our ACS 5.2 appliances today to setup PEAP. I generated a self signed certificate under local certificates which I want to remove now. But when I try to delete it I get the following message:
This System Failure occurred: Certificate is associated with a protocol. Hence it cannot be deleted.. Your changes have not been save. Click OK to return to the list page.
I assume this is because it is associated with the EAP protocol, but I cannot uncheck the box when I edit the local certificate. How can I get rid of this test certificate?

I'm trying to set a VPN connection to a router using group authorization with the ACS 5.2 but cannot make it work. I configured everything based on the procedure used for ACS 4.2. I have a problem implementing a NAR for a specific device group. I am running Cisco ACS 4.2 and it works fine for all the other stuff I do but this issue is perplexing me a bit.
I have a device group with Juniper devices in it and I authenticate using RADIUS (Juniper) as the radius setting. I have a Administration user group set up.
I placed a NAR into the group "Per Group Defined Network Access Restrictions" specific to the device group with * for port and address
I placed this group into both the Define IP-Based as well as the Define CLI/DNIS-based section.
No matter what I do I keep getting authenticated.
When I go to the passed authentications page I see my login and the group-name is identified correctly and the network device group is identified correctly too. The filter says "no filters activated". So how can I get this NAR to kick in? I would like to restrict one device group from a ACS user group.

We have refreshed the sgent in ACS and also have restarted the ACS agent in AD. Cisco ISE 1.1.1 is given Certificate error while trying to access any of nodes. It is started after adding other nodes in to primary node. Accessing by IP's redirect to other nodes suppose if we accessing primary admin node by IP, it redirect to other nodes (secondary nodes or other nodes).

We use a combination of Cisco ACS and Cisco catalyst 3560 switches for network authentication and authorization. Clients (Windows XP) have a certificate installed which will grand access to the network and put them in the correct VLAN. So far, so good. Some users are testing with Windows 7 in the same set-up as above and run into strange behaviour. The problem is that after a random timer the machine gets de-authenticated and nothing besides a reboot works to get the computer authenticated again (from a Windows point of view). It looks like this only happens to users who are using a certificate to authenticate, Windows 7 MAC bypass users have no such problems. If it occurs, the following logging appears in ACS: [code] We are using ACS 4.2(0) Build 124 and 3560-48PS switches with IOS 12.2(55).

i have a wireless deplyoment with WLC 5508, ACS 5.2 and several AD connected by LDAP. It is required that users are authenticated by certificates additional the user should only get access to the wireless environment when the user is found in a certain security group in the Microsoft AD forrest. we currently have a remote access asa setup using Anyconnect with self signed certificate, and several users in the certificate database as we are using radius and certificate for authentication.
I want to purchase and obtain a trusted CA signed certificate (such as Verisign) and replace the current self signed cert.
My question is will I have to reset the current CA server of the ASA and replace the certificate user database? ie start from scratch.

I have just renewed the self signed certificate on a v5.2 ACS and expiry date of 2013 is showing in the ACS GUI. However, when I start an ACS Admin session and view the certificate information in the browser it is showing the old expiry date of 2010. I have tried this in IE and Firefox and the certificate information is the same.
Is there a way I can get the browser to pick the new certificate ?
