Cisco AAA/Identity/Nac :: ISE-3315 / Procedure To Join ISE Appliance Become Inline Posture Node

I would like to ask, given that i got 2 units of ISE-3315 appliance, one need to be primary node for admin-policy service-monitoring, another unit then become Inline posture node.For the preparation on line posture node, what shoud i do on it?
01. For the unit ready to become inline posture node, so I just boot it, install the OS from sractch (using version 1.1.1), then start the initialize setup etc, like Normal setup?
02. Before i regieter, what is the deployment nodes i should select for inline posture node unit? provided the admin-policy service-monitoring will become primary node, and registration for inline posture node will be next action.

i'm stuck at registering inline posture node to primary node. I doing fresh install both ISE appliance using version 1.1.1, patched all 3 available patach version after install. AD and DNS were perfectly configure, ping using hostname able to resolve Everything set, so both PSN and iPEP generate CSR and ready to let CA server to signed. But anyway this is the outcome i get Error message "Unable to authenticate. please check server and CA certificate."
01. - What certificate template to be use primary node and inline posture node? I having problem the CA certsrv won't show computer template for inline posture node. can i use web server template and on the extension include client autthenticaiton andserver authentication on this case?
- What certficate template use for primay node CSR?
02. According to Cisco ISE user guide 1.1.1, it mentioned "Creating certificate trust list in Primary ISE Node"
So first action is importing Root and CA certificate . my rootCA.cer import to certification operation certifcate store, while CSR generated then Bind CA certificate. question, should i check anything like "Tust for client authentication" checkbox or any other option to be check? How about Inline Posture node, should i export the CA certificate and import to primary node's certificate store?

My site got the NAC-3315 appliance and we would like to reimage this appliance to inline posture mode (for VPN purpose)What's the proper migration process should deal with this? Is the NAC-3315 hardware comply with the Inline posture mode requirement?

Is it possible to add another NIC to the Cisco 3315 NAC appliance. It ships with Four ethernet interfaces, but would like to add at least 1 extra interface i.e. PCI card if possible.

I am trying to reimage a Cisco MARS 25 appliance for the pnadmin password recovery procedure. I am trying to boot the system with Recovery DVD (Version 5.3.2) shipped with the appliance. I connected a VGA monitor and USB keyboard to the appliance and when I do a reboot, I can see the Installation options. Please Choose A MARS Model To Install...
1. Distributed Mars - Local Controller But I am not able to select the Option 1 for the reimaging of Local Controller since my keyboard is not responding for the selections. During the LILO boot process, I can see some error message that 'Keyboard Not Present'. I tried to connect the keyboard to different USB ports and the PS/2 port using a USB to PS/2 adapter. Still keyboard is not functioning.I am able to select the BIOS options while connecting the USB keyboard to appliance. But it is not functioning when booting from Recovery DVD. Also the keyboard is functioning if I boot the appliance directly with previous image. Unfortunately I dont have any PS/2 keyboard available for connecting and admin password for Login.Is there any workaround/solution for supporting the USB keyboard during the Recovery Procedure ?I tried the serial connection with hyperterminal but some junk charaters appear even after setting the recomended Baud rate, parity, flow control etc.The Ethernet console seems not working with the default IP address 192.168.0.101 for eth1.

I have an authorization rule which verify that the AV (mcafee 12.x) is installed (NAC agent), time restriction and so, and so....The connection failed with this code :
15039 Rejected per authorization profile.
How can I obtain a some more details on that ?I mean, I'd like to know which condition is not verified and lead to a failed connection.

Just upgraded Cisco ISE to 1.1.1 in my lab/demo environment and am now having problems with a basic posture implementation. In short I connect to a wireless SSID and check posture based on the presence of a file. The NAC agent is declaring my host as compliant and granting full network access however about 5 seconds later it it checks for requirements again while placing my host in the temporary network access. At this point it states I am compliant again and 5 seconds later scans again. This behaivour does not stop and continues endlessly until I close the wireless connection. I had no problems with this setup on 1.1.All logs indicate successful compliance and no errors in terms of compliance.

I installed ise-1.1.1.268.i386.iso on a scratch to the new NAC 3315. As i check cisco download mentioned it need to patch following files :ise-patchbundle-1.1.1.268-1-60802.i386.tar.gz,But once try to patch it show like attachment message, is it mean that i no need to do the patching?Or is there any instruction need to remove and reinstall for this files.

to grant not to show the certificate error adevertise to all clients connecting to guest services (because obviously they don't have the CA root certificate of our company), we have purchased a wildcard certificate from Verisign in order to work with all of our PSN Common Names and friendly url for sponsor and mydevices. But when I try to import it to more than one PSN the following error message is shown " The certificate already exists in the data base".How can I import the same certificate (with the same private key) in every PSN in a node group?

I'm constantly seeing that the sync and replication status for my secondary admin/monitor node in the primary node as node not reachable. The secondary still thinks it is in standalone mode. When I run the ISE diag tool connectivity tests I am able successfully ping the devices from each other using both hostname and ip and the nslookup also works fine between both nodes. Ping and nslookups also work from different networks within the environment. The two nodes are in the same vlan on a 6500 vss pair but on different switches of the pair.

We have insatalled 5 ise 3315 boxes IOS 1.0.4 in our network where in two of them are admin node , two of policy services and one is mnt node. We are using guest sponsor portal for wirless guest user where in we have integrated WLC 5508 with ise and using weblogin for guest users.
We have created open ssid in wlc and using external redirected url of ise for guest login page. But when we create any guest user in sponsor login for guest user we faced following issue
1) When guest user gets conected to wirless and login in to guest portal with credential after putting credential then its again redirect to same login page wihout successful login prompt.
Can we pompt successful login after guest login to guest portal or redirect to any other link like google.com so guest user will gets to know he is able to access internet now
2) We have creted time profile 8hours first login for guest user. When guest user gets connected while putting credential in to guest portal. But we face issue after approximately every 20 mins guest gets disconnected from internet and guest again gets login page of guest portal and if we put same credential then its working but after approx 20 min interval user get disconnected from internet.

I have a nac guest server 3315 appliance with 4 NICs. I want to connect each NIC to 4 different networks without allowing traffic between them. So RADIUS interface will be different from sponsor/admin interface to the NGS. how to achieve this. I have created and assigned a static IP address using system-config-network, but when i do ifconfig i dont see the remaining 3 NICs and the web interface doesnt seem to have provision to create this interfaces.

we have a new ISE 3315 installation going on, I powered on the Appliance and appliance booted sucessfully, I run the Setup command. however after Setup is completed and appliance got a reload, it is not booting at all , booting seems to be hang up as per the snapshot attached.however Appliance is pingable, . i carried the following tasks as part of troubleshooting.
2: suspecting that Setup was corrupted, i then re-initialzied / re-installed the ISE Completely, then i run the setup command and after self reload, exactly same behaviour.
3: I tried with both Secure CRT & Putty and results are same

Whether ISE-3315-K9 with ise version: Service Engine: 1.0.4.573 , supports the command level accounting
Bascially , we have integrated Cisco Switches with Cisco ISE for Device Authentication using Radius , we are able get the authentication logs on to the devices , but for any command changes or update done on Cisco devices we are not able to get the command accounting.

We are conduction a Proof Of Concept (PoC) on Secure Bring Your Own Device ( BYOD ) using Cisco ISE and gonna test all the scenarios like Wired, Wireless and VPN user access.
Our Setup has ISE VM acting as Admin, Monitor and Profiling Device, we have NAC 3315 physical Appliance as Inline posture Device, Wireless LAN controller, Access point and the Identity source as Microsof Active Directory.Having Plans to Integrate Mobile Device Management ( MDM ) and Citrix VDI setup also.
As of now we have tested the Wired Scenario Authentication and authorization for guest users and gonna carry out the profiling and posture.
-MDM can be integrated to ISE ?
-How the MDM can be integrated to Cisco ISE configuration or Guide to show the same?
-What is the demarcation between MDM and ISE ( i.e. What is the role of ISE and MDM on Mobile Devices ) ?
-If MDM is available so then when the control of ISE ends, does MDM do management or ISE will do management of the devices ?
-Is MDM will do client provisioning or ISE should do ?
-Is MDM send or update patches of Mobile Devices ?

my ISE 3315 is stuck in ISE 3315 stuck in INIT Entering runlevel: 3 when i connect a screen and keyboard i can only see this last message : ISE 3315 stuck in INIT Entering runlevel: 3 There is nothing after, i cannot login (no prompt) even after waiting 20 minutes with this message
I have no char return via serial cable depsite i was able to run initial setup from console (same cable, the DB9-DB9 provided, same serial config, same laptop)
Version ADE : ADE-OS-2.0 (2.6.18-238.1.1.el5PAE)
Version ISE : 1.1.0.665

We want to buy a ISE-3315-K9 for 500 end-devices.In the price-list I found the ISE-3315-K9 but cannot find the base license: L-ISE-BSE-500=. (I think I need this license)Will the shipment of the ISE-3315-K9 includes a 3000 end-points base license (maximum support of the ISE-3315) or do I need to order the base 500 license seperately?

procedure to apply the 5-2-0-26-4.tar.gpg patch. I don't know how to get the patch file into the ACS server.The procedure in the "Read me" for the patch does not indicate anything about how to this:
1. open CLI console2. define new repository in which the 5-2-0-26-4.tar.gpg resides3. issue: 'acs patch install 5-2-0-26-4.tar.gpg repository YOUR_REPOSITORY'4. verify installation by getting the following version information via CLI by issuing:#show application version acs I don't know how to put the patch file from my local machine to the repository created in the GUI (if there is where the actual place to creat the repository).

I could not SSH to ACS SE appliance? Why I could not, however I can do on another ACS SE.
note that I can ping the ACS SE, after disabling the CSA, so netowrk connectivity is ok.

All users are located in the local identity store.So - assume I do not implement ACS but I do turn on password expiration after 60 or 90 days. Will a user whose password is about to expire attempts to authenticate against ACS 5.2, will they be notified that their password is about to expire?Also, when a user attempts to authenticate but their password expired yesterday, will they be prompted to change it and if so, how will that prompt to change it be presented?

Newly shipped cisco ACS appliance 1121 has been shipped with ACS version 5.0 , I need to downgrade to ACS version 4.2,0 , I could not see recovery CD or DVD for acs 4.2 along with shipment , Is ACS 1121 appliance is comptaible to acs 4.2.0 version ? .

This is a new installation.I did to configure the ACS to connect to the AD to authenticate users and retrieve the user information for group mapping as following step. Go to Users and Identity Stores > External Identity Stores > Active Directory, and enter the domain name and provide a username/password that will allow connect to the domain.Next, click on the Test Connection button to validate joining the domain.
I got success test connection. But when I click Save Changes. I got error .

01. I have one customer unit C1121 ACS system shipped with version 5.1. The customer buy the base license and large deployment license along with the purchase.
02. Fact is i have manually upgrade the system to version 5.3.0.40, and applying a trial license for it for administering the appliance.
a. If i now using the purchased base license and large deployment PAK to activate the system, would it still valid for me to continue using Version 5.3.0.40?

I'm with problems to migrate the ACS 5.1 hardware to ACS 5.1 vmware. In my infraestructure I have a appliance with ACS 5.1 and I need to migrate to vmware to do HA. I installed vmware as the Cisco ACS recommendations. I made a backup of the ACS hardware and copied the local disk vmware ACS.
When I start the restore process after a few minutes an error occurs:

I am setting up six ISE 3355 appliances 3 in one datacenter 3 in another. They have just installed a new server farm infrastructure using Nexus 5596 and Nexus 2248TP top of rack switches.I have been looking for documentation on how to do NIC teaming on the 3355 or some way to connect Gig0 to FEX101 and Gig1 to FEX102. Or do I just setup a port channel using LaCP between the two different FEX groups?

I'm trying to upload the 5-2-0-26-4.tar.gpg patch to our ACS and so far have been unsucessfull. I keep getting the "please verify the patch bundle is valid".
When I download the 5-2-0-26-4.tar.gpg file, for some reason the download always comes down from Cisco as 5-2-0-26-4.tar.tar. I've renambed the file to 5-2-0-26-4.tar.gpg and verified the MD5.

I have installed 2 ACS 5.2 appliances, the two appear as Primary. When I try to register one of them with the other one using "System Administrator -> Local Operation -> Deployment Operations" I get the following message:
This System Failure occurred: Unable to authenticate with node.. Your changes have not been saved.Click OK to return to the list page.
I have tried with both "ACSAdmin" and "admin" users with their respective passwords.

What is the requirement of integrate ACS 4.2 Appliance and AD about CA server? it has to be windows 2003 server enterprice o windows 2008 enterprice? or it can be windows 2003 and 2008 stand alone? another question is about multi domain, i have domain father and children. the installation of CA Server is in domain father to enable 802.1x with AD with all domain children integrate? or I can be install the CA server in the server of domain children and is it work (CA server installed in server in domain child and it working all domains child and father)?
