I have a router from Motorola that is not a wireless router. Wired to it is a DIR 300 box (adapter?) and this transmits the Wilan. My PC is connected via cable and my laptop via Wilan . I have looked in the Motorola router ( using my PC) for the security key and cannot find one . I have also looked in the DIR300 and the security key is a row of dots, ie not showing.
