View 1 RepliesI had to Reinstall my windows Vista OS. My WNA was working prior to the OS reinstallation, so I am confused a bit. I have no idea how to reinstall drivers in order that dell gives me. I have downloaded the drivers from the Dell downloads section;however, I don't know what to do next. I tried to go to device manager and find network adapter, but it does not appear, only an "other" section with some ! marks next to them.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy network device tree now shows three (actually two) drivers not working, as follows:
Tuerdo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface Driver
and, ISATAP Driver
It is my understanding that these are used to send IPV4 encapsulated IPV6 packets across intranet, and that I need to update the network card drivers to fix the issue. I am not sure if the drivers shown on the Dell site will fix this issue.
I have a two month old Inspiron 1525 laptop with a 1395 WLAN mini-card. My network adapter has disappeared from my computer. When I run the diagnostic on the Network, I get " computer does not have a network adapter installed and configured" What is going on Dell? I called the help desk and the condescending tech said that I had to pay 250.00! This is a two month old computer - Dell - stand behind your products!
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Dell Inspiron 1525 that suddenly has an issue with Wireless Networking. When I try and troubleshoot it shows me that the Broadcom 802.11 Multiband Network Adapter has a Code 10 error and says the "device cannot start." I have tried uninstalling and updating the driver, but it just continues to tell me that it has the best driver every-time I try and update it.If I plug the laptop in to the router with a wired connection it works just fine, so it is obviously an issue with the wireless adapter.what I should do in order to get this to take a new driver so it works again?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop, which I bought 3.5 years back. The laptop used to work fine before. I just shifted home 1.5 month back. Previously I used to have the wireless router always close to my laptop, so I never realized this issue. Now the wireless router (802.11n) for Fibre optics internet is in the ground floor and my studio is on 2nd floor. In my office latop, which is a new one, I get 3 out of 5 signal bars and get 34-56 mbps signal. But my Dell laptop does not get any signal, but when it is closer to the router it works fine.
if I buy an USB network Adapter device which is n series and supports upto 300mbps signal, then will it improve the situation? If yes, then which devices are preferred and how can I know whether that new device is compatible with my laptop settings (as this is a bit old one) or not? If not, then how can I improve the wireless reception? I have tried with booster etc already. I have also updated the network adapter drivers.the wireless card I have is: Dell Wireless 1395 WLAN minicard?
I have the Inspiron N4010 and I recently had my LCD screen replaced everything seems to be working awesome...except all my drivers seem to not be working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for the device. I know I could just re-download the drivers except my internet network won't connect to wifi or router so I can not get on the internet to download the drivers!

There are usually multiple connections available, be they my neighbours' or mine, but i'm unable to even find them. I'm not given the option to connect wirelessly, but only via cable. I'm not sure whether it's a hardware problem or there's something up with my software.I'm using a Dell Inspiron 1525 which is running on Windows 7 - 32bit.

Where can I get this wireless networking hardware?, is it on a disk that came with the laptop or do I have to download it using another computer and manually install it on my laptop. I have already don't some research online and have download some drivers but can't seem to install them on my laptop.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have Inspiron 1525 with Marvell Yukon 88E8040 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller. After reformat, the network will not detect wireless modem after I think I have downloaded all pertinent drivers. In Device Manager, under Other Devices, The Network Controller shows an exclamation mark that under Device Status says, "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28) To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver." I have turned on the button on the left of the laptop and still missing something.Prior to the reformat everything was working well. I had the Blue Screen of death andthat's the reason for the reformat.

I have a Sony Vaio Model VGN-NS20E (Vista) that has built-in Wireless. The PC was heavily infected by Virus and I had to re-install Vista Operating system. The system is now running fine (picture, DVD drive, sound etc )although, it will not detect the Wireless Adapter, hence the wireless will not work.I went to the manufacturer's computer website and downloaded the driver and (I think ) installed the driver on the laptop. The yellow "wireless" light on the front of laptop is not lit, even though it is switched to on.Am I right in thinking it is the wireless network adapter that isn't working and not the driver as when I go to "Device Manager" and look at the Network Drives, it only shows the wired Ethernet option. This added to the fact the yellow wireless light doesn't come on, on the front makes me think it is the adapter and not the driver.

I am on my primary machine right now so I am able to get online. I am wondering if there is a way that I can get the proper drivers or software, put them on a USB drive and then put them on the computer that I am trying to connect?I have already tried this, but I cannot seem to get the steps right or I don't necessarily know what I am doing. I am at the Linksys support Page [URL] and I have tried to do as I mentioned before, but I am sort of just expecting it to GO and its not working. Connectivity has been intermittent the last few months and now none at all. Laptop can see the router but can't connect. Tried connecting via hard-wire to the router but no connectivity 2) tried downloading a driver update but resulted in a message saying "software can't be installed hardware doesn't exist". Check of the adapter through the device manager shows "device is working properly". Have two other dells on the same router and neither have any connectivity issues.
Have followed what you all have said and that problem posts more than ANY other about the Network Driver not being installed. This happens when you lose your operating and reinstall or up grade to AnyTHING other than what was originally installed, OR get the recommended updates from Microsoft. If you do happen to solve the problem the MS updates will disable it again. The Dell drivers they recommend for the NOW non supported WLAN 1395 Mini Card which was installed originally in all Vista Home installs is the Multi device A17_R174291.exe (89.86 Mb) AND it does not work---NOT SUPPORTED pop up at beginning of install. and naturally no disk prodived by Dell in original purchase package.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a inspiron 1525 and 9 times out of 10 when I start up the computer I get the message "Dell wireless WLAN card wireless network tray applet has stopped working". When this happens I can still get on the internet. But I can't scroll the screen using the touchpad. Dell installed a new touchpad and that worked for about one day. I hooked up with them online twice and one tech updated the touchpad driver and another said it was my avast software that causes the problem, I say no way, because it worked for 6 months before this problem started.
