I am using Dell D600 with WINXP SP2. It detects the wireless network but it is unable to connect with it. I have tried all tools available on dell site but nothing worked.
View 15 RepliesI've got an old Dell Latitude D600, service tag <Admin Note: removed per privacy policy~RK>, that I am messing around with and i can not get it to connect to my wireless network. i have the correct driver for my wireless adapter and it shows my network in range with full strength. when i try to connect it says the network may no longer be in range and i should refresh. when refresh it is still there with good strength. when i look my wireless adapter it says it is on but as soon as it brings up the network name everything says "radio off"

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a similar problem with my Dell D600. It used to connect to this router (EA4500) without problem, but one day from nothing it is not connecting anymore. I doesn’t complain about nothing but doesn’t connect. I can connect to my other router (E3000) without problem, but cannot do it to this EA4500. I have other 3 computers (1 PC and 2 MAC) that can connect to both routers without problems. I reboot many times my D600, I checked the Turemobile 1300 driver and it is working well, no complains no “!” on the device manager and as I said it can connect to the other router. I can connect with the Ethernet cable to this router without a problem but I cannot with the wireless.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Gateway laptop the was recently brought back from the dead (basically)... So once the rescue and recovery was done some of the drivers were lost including the wireless adapter. I found most of the drivers and was connecting to the internet wireless fine. I just got internet installed in my house a few days ago, in the beginning the laptop would connet to the internet through the gateway set up in my home. Someone reset my modem back to the default settings by mistake. So I reset everything back to the way it was but now the laptop wont connect. I thought it may have been a problem with the modem but when I checke it it says everything is working fine so Im assuming that its something wrong with the laptop. It connects fine if I plug the ethernet cord in and I get the 'wireless networks detected' message and when I clikc on it my network is displayed but when I try to connect it says windows is unable to connect to the selected network. the network may nolonger be in range.

I have had the laptop for 3 months now with no problems up to this point. I have followed some of the troubleshooting suggestions from other posts, but to no avail. We are using a small office network with y computers connect the laptop being the third and I am connected via wireless connection. I can connect to our network printer and the other 3 computers without a problem but I cannot go ontothe internet. I have an ip address 10.0:0:9 which is within our LAN range and my subnet mask is 255.255.255.0. I cannot also setup outlook and if I ping sites like google .com I get the reply 'could not find host'

I have downloaded it and it looks like it installs but it never makes it to device manager? It will not install directly fron device manager. It is the only driver that will not install. I already know the chipset driver goes first.
View 4 Replies View Relatedproblem with my Dell Latitude D600 Laptop,I tried re-installing my OS, so now with a fresh new OS the wireless capabilities worked fine, but only for the first day, then the next morning the whole problem began again. Now it would say " No supported wireless adapters found" and when i would open the device manager some devices would have the yellow exclamation point, some of the devices would say "Intel PCIC compatible PCMICA controller" and " PCMICA MTD-0002" or just "card bus controller" and many other ones that would alternate when they appear. And also sometimes my network adapters would completely disappear from the list. I also tried scanning my whole drive for viruses and nothing was found.
Then i found that if you disconnect the wireless adapter physically and re connect it, it might work, but it didn't. I should also add that before this problem for some time i had another problem with the same laptop that had to do with the battery malfunctioning, and it displays a 4 orange , 1 green pattern sequence on the LED charge display. But it had never affected any of the laptops hardware or software before, so I don't know if that might have anything to do with it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Dell Dimension L733r with a Linksys Compact Wireless-G USB Adaptor. When I start the computer, it connects to the wireless network immediately. As I go through the day, all of a sudden I start getting "Unable to Connect to Wireless Network". I click on the popup and then click on repair. It goes through it's procedures and eventually reconnects the network. Sometimes it says "Connection Very Good" other times "Low" or even "Very Low". Several minutes later, it will do the same thing again and I go through the same procedure again. This might happen several more times then it will be okay. There are days where it never happens at all and then there are days where it happens every 10 minutes or so.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am having problems connecting to the internet. I've tried changing my security from WPA to WEP and back again. I've searched these forums for a solution and nothing has worked. I've changed my antenna output to Aux from Auto as one thread suggested, but no luck.
For a time, I could connect to my wireless BT Home Hub 2, but the range was pathetic (about 4 metres). I've tried connecting to my partners home wireless connection, and again, same problem. Now the connection is virtually nothing. If I am lucky enough to get a connection then it will be poor and usually fail within 2 minutes.

Using a Netgear wireless g router for home office. Attached are a Gateway hard wired and a Toshiba laptop with a Netgear wireless g card. Both are working great. Netgear says router is OK and it supports both b and g. Toshiba laptop identifies every wireless in my neighborhood but the D600 and Cisco cannot detect any signal. I have tried with and without security and every combination setup. Cisco has attempted to correct this problem but are still baffled. When I enable the Cisco card via the network and dial-up setting, it tries to initialize and then posts a message that the "network cable is unplugged"
I recently got a Dell Latitude D600. I know, it's outdated. I'm running Windows XP SP3.
My problem is that after installing all of the drivers for the Broadcom 570x Gigabit Intergrated Controller, I can't get the wireless to pop up in the bottom right hand corner. I can only connect with an Ethernet cable directly from my router. I have tried many things, even support packages, but I can't seem to get it to work. I've also tried Fn+F2. Also, in the Device Manager I see a "Network Controller" but it has a question mark that is yellow beside it, and I can't seem to install it.
I own a Dell Latitude D600 that I purchased off of Ebay a few months ago. For the past month I have been having an issue with my wireless card. My problem started when I turned on my computer and booted up and when my desktop loaded, no wireless icon or signal strength showed on the bottom right hand corner where are the other icons are. I went to Device Manager and in the Network adapter section was an exclamation point next to the Dell Wireless 1450 Dual Band WLan mini pci card which showed that there is a code 10 error. I have tried uninstalling it but then I would always get the BSOD with the BCMWL5.sys error. I have tried updating the driver as well but it would tell me that it already is up to date. I have also tried reinstalling my OS but my code 10 error always returns. When I opened up my laptop to see if the card is the cables are loose (which they weren't), I noticed that my wireless card is the Broadcom 4309.
I would also like to ask exactly what order am I suppose to have all of my drivers installed? I am almost positive that I am not installing them correctly. I have seen websites that say to install the Intel Chipset and O2 Smart Card first and then the NSS and so on.
So a few months ago I bought a wireless router, and I've been using it just fine with my laptop ever since. however, my father-in-law has a laptop and he can't connect to the router. and the other day I bought a brand new desktop PC, and it can't connect tot he router either.both my FIL's laptop and my new desktop detect the wireless router, then when connecting ask for the passphrase. so i put in the passphrase and hit connect, and it says that it couldn't connect (quite the vague error message).
I tried putting in an incorrect password, and an error message comes up saying that the passphrase is wrong, so I know thats not the problem. Next I dissable all security, and both are able to connect to the router just fine, but not with the WEP pass phrase.I don't understand why they can't connect since I have the proper pass phrase. I also have a nintendo DS and Wii, both of which are able to connect to the wireless router with a passphrase, but not without.
so, if I have no security all 3 comps can connect but not the wii or DS. and if I have the WEP security on, only 1 laptop and the Wii/DS can connect. furthermore, my DS requires a WEP security key to connect.so anyways, what would cause the problem with the laptop/desktop recognizing the wireless router, validating the password but not actually connecting? but being able to connect without any security?
I have a Dell Vostro 3300 laptop with Windows 7 and ran a Kaspersky Virus Scan which deleted virus' and trojan programs but now my computer says there are 'no connections available'....my WiFi is definitely working as I am able to connect on my phone and other laptop.I have checked my network adapters on Device Manager and they have a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark, including 'DW1501 Wireless-N WLAN Half-Mini Card'. I have checked whether the drivers are up to date and it says they are.

The Apple router I used saw my work network and I could access files and printers; no changes to my Mac were necessary. It worked out of the box. The new Linksys has Internet connectivity but will not see my work network at all. I have looked into the old settings and cannot figure out how to make the new router see my network. I called Linksys but no dice. What settings need to be changed to see the work network? It is connected to the same ethernet cable as the other router that worked fine.
