View 4 RepliesMy Dell Latitude D600 recently stopped accessing the internet, even though I have a strong wireless signal and connection. I have had the laptop for 3 months now with no problems up to this point. I have followed some of the troubleshooting suggestions from other posts, but to no avail. My ipconfig looks like it should be right, and I can post that upon request. The Intel Pro/wireless LAN 2100 3A Mini PCI Adapter status says it is working properly, and the drivers are up to date

We are using a small office network with y computers connect the laptop being the third and I am connected via wireless connection. I can connect to our network printer and the other 3 computers without a problem but I cannot go ontothe internet. I have an ip address 10.0:0:9 which is within our LAN range and my subnet mask is 255.255.255.0. I cannot also setup outlook and if I ping sites like google .com I get the reply 'could not find host'

Using a Netgear wireless g router for home office. Attached are a Gateway hard wired and a Toshiba laptop with a Netgear wireless g card. Both are working great. Netgear says router is OK and it supports both b and g. Toshiba laptop identifies every wireless in my neighborhood but the D600 and Cisco cannot detect any signal. I have tried with and without security and every combination setup. Cisco has attempted to correct this problem but are still baffled. When I enable the Cisco card via the network and dial-up setting, it tries to initialize and then posts a message that the "network cable is unplugged"
I recently got a Dell Latitude D600. I know, it's outdated. I'm running Windows XP SP3.
My problem is that after installing all of the drivers for the Broadcom 570x Gigabit Intergrated Controller, I can't get the wireless to pop up in the bottom right hand corner. I can only connect with an Ethernet cable directly from my router. I have tried many things, even support packages, but I can't seem to get it to work. I've also tried Fn+F2. Also, in the Device Manager I see a "Network Controller" but it has a question mark that is yellow beside it, and I can't seem to install it.
Where can i find dell drivers for latitude d600

View 1 Replies View Relatedproblem with my Dell Latitude D600 Laptop,I tried re-installing my OS, so now with a fresh new OS the wireless capabilities worked fine, but only for the first day, then the next morning the whole problem began again. Now it would say " No supported wireless adapters found" and when i would open the device manager some devices would have the yellow exclamation point, some of the devices would say "Intel PCIC compatible PCMICA controller" and " PCMICA MTD-0002" or just "card bus controller" and many other ones that would alternate when they appear. And also sometimes my network adapters would completely disappear from the list. I also tried scanning my whole drive for viruses and nothing was found.
Then i found that if you disconnect the wireless adapter physically and re connect it, it might work, but it didn't. I should also add that before this problem for some time i had another problem with the same laptop that had to do with the battery malfunctioning, and it displays a 4 orange , 1 green pattern sequence on the LED charge display. But it had never affected any of the laptops hardware or software before, so I don't know if that might have anything to do with it.

Everything is working now except the WiFi does not get on the web. I have a strong signal, and it says Connected, but also says "Limited Connectivity". Another laptop works fine on this same wireless router, so I know it is a problem with the machine. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a recently rebuilt D600 running XP Prof XP3 full patched. The machine was a clean build on a new disk about 2 months ago and all has been working well (excepting the Fujitsu HDD which seems to be going bad as I type, but that's a different issue!).i was offer via Microsoft Update: "Dell driver update for Dell TrueMobile 1300 WLAN Mini-PCI Card" 2 days ago (mid August 2009). This is a Dell supplied update distributed via MS. Also offered (and installed) at the same time was "Darfon - Other Hardware - Bluetooth Devices". Since installing these (and the installs reporting as completing correctly) I keep getting:Dell Wireless WLAN Card Wireless Network Controller encountered a problem and needed to close.and Dell Wireless WLAN Card Wireless Network Controller has encountered a problem and needs to close.rror dialogues. These pop up every 30 seconds or so and seem to be related to the Dell TrueMobile 1300 update.Looking in the Windows directory there is no uninstall directory for this update unlike the MS updates. So I now either need to:get the updates to work properly Remove the updates and get back to a working condition if you wonder why I applied the updates...why repair something that's already working...I have had Bluetooth sporadic connection issues with this laptop with a BT GPS unit. The same BT GPS unit works perfectly on a D610 but on this D600 after initial connection there can be repeated connection loss requring the BT GPS unit to be moved around, after which BT connection is re-established only to fail a while later. As the same GPS works without problem with the D610 my presumption has been the issue is a BT stack issue on the D600 BT implementation.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a similar problem with my Dell D600. It used to connect to this router (EA4500) without problem, but one day from nothing it is not connecting anymore. I doesn’t complain about nothing but doesn’t connect. I can connect to my other router (E3000) without problem, but cannot do it to this EA4500. I have other 3 computers (1 PC and 2 MAC) that can connect to both routers without problems. I reboot many times my D600, I checked the Turemobile 1300 driver and it is working well, no complains no “!” on the device manager and as I said it can connect to the other router. I can connect with the Ethernet cable to this router without a problem but I cannot with the wireless.

I finally moved on from my Dell Latitude, I purchased a Lenovo today.Just set up Windows 7 on it, but I am having a real problem...I have looked everywhere on the Internet for a fix and can't seem to find it.I am trying to connect to my home network, belkin54g, but am being told "No Internet access." Under Device Manager, I have two network adapters listed, a Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter and a Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller. My network is set up as such...My dad's Mac has the router/modem wired to it, and every other computer connects wirelessly. MY connection is set up as a Windows 7 "Home" network. When hovering over the wireless icon thing at the bottom right of the screen, it gives the network name in bold, then No Internet access in italics right below. I am connected to the home network for sure though, because when I view devices on this network, I see my brothers laptop listed. Most recently I tried to do a Winsock reset from the Command Prompt, but it didn't work.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a Dell Latitude E6420. My computer had Windows 7 and I re-imaged it with Windows 7 (because of a procedure for work, something about removing myself from their network.. I was just following the directions I had been given). Since the re-image, I cannot connect to the internet whatsoever. With a cable or wirelessly. My computer recognized the wireless networks I had at my house before the re-image, but there is no longer a wireless adapter even under my "network adapters." Moreover, every single "Other device" has a yellow exclamation point next to it. I cannot connect to any internet at all to remedy the problem and am at a loss for what to do.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI had to reformat a Dell Latitude D830 with XP Pro SP2 due to a trojan. After XP was reinstalled, I inserted the cds which contain the drivers and such for my system. I installed the drivers and utilities, but for some reason when I plug my ethernet cable into the laptop, it says there is "Little or No Connectivity". I plugged the same ethernet cord into the desktop I am currently using, and it works just fine. The connection comes straight from the wall to the computer with no router or modem involved.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a Dell Laptop Latitude 610 and I have not been able to connect to the Internet via the ethernet cable port for some four months now. I've tried downloading software from Dell's web site, I bought (and returned) and USB to Ethernet cable, only to find out that it was a model ahead of what this machine needs.I've asked local repair place (Microcenter) what it might be, but they'll only tell me after I pay $70 just to open it up.Another repair guy said that it is probably the motherboard and it wasn't worth fixing. (Yet if it was, wouldn't the entire computer decide not to work at all?) [code]

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was given a dell latitude cpx laptop running windows xp recently with wireless b network adapter. My modem/router is a 2wire gateway DSL . When I brought the laptop home, it did not connect to my wireless network. It was able to find my ssid though, and the signal was weak even if I was close to the modem/router. Anway, someone suggested I switch from WPA to WEP encryption because old network adapters can only detect wep encryption ( or something like that) . So I did, and still no internet connection. i tried to ping yahoo.com and still not working. My DNS and Ip adress are set to automatic and still no internet. This laptop doesn't have an LAN port, so i guess it connects through internet wirelessly only. Someone also suggested i update my drivers for wireless adapter but i don't have the original disc that came along with it. This laptop was able to connect without problem before from a different network but not mine like a week ago.. I also have2 other laptops within this network and I never had a problem with it connecting wirelessly.

I am using a wireless connection via router to access internet at home. When my Dell Latitude E6510 Laptop is not on the Dell Docking Station and I'm using as just standalone I can access my wireless connection easily, no problem at all. However, when I attached my laptop to my Dell Docking Station, I can not access my wireless connection. The wireless connection is found, but when I click connect to network, I get "Windows cannot found network". When I remove the laptop from the docking station, I find the wireless connection and connect perfectly and it works normal.I am using Windows 7. I can connect to internet with straight wire going to docking station easily, but no wireless connection found when laptop is on the docking station. I work from home and use the docking station for two monitors for doing my job. I have struggle with this problem for two weeks now. I don't see anything on the docking station that's preventing me from access my wireless connection.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Latitude D630 has been dropping internet connection all the time for the past three days. I looked up similar problems on this blog: a) cleared the DNS cache, b) downloaded windows XP- service pack 3, & 3 network software recommended for my laptop by Dell from the website and updated to the Intel PROSET/Wireless WIFI connection utility, d) ran ipconfig/all from C prompt and know the ethernet connections are disabled, e) called and checked with our local ISP and cleared the connection from their end. To sum it, I have tried everything I know and am still not able to maintain a steady connection to the net using WIFI. However I am able to connect using the cable to the router, so my net provider said the problem is with the wireless connection on the laptop. I didnt have this problem before.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI own a Dell Latitude D600 that I purchased off of Ebay a few months ago. For the past month I have been having an issue with my wireless card. My problem started when I turned on my computer and booted up and when my desktop loaded, no wireless icon or signal strength showed on the bottom right hand corner where are the other icons are. I went to Device Manager and in the Network adapter section was an exclamation point next to the Dell Wireless 1450 Dual Band WLan mini pci card which showed that there is a code 10 error. I have tried uninstalling it but then I would always get the BSOD with the BCMWL5.sys error. I have tried updating the driver as well but it would tell me that it already is up to date. I have also tried reinstalling my OS but my code 10 error always returns. When I opened up my laptop to see if the card is the cables are loose (which they weren't), I noticed that my wireless card is the Broadcom 4309.
I would also like to ask exactly what order am I suppose to have all of my drivers installed? I am almost positive that I am not installing them correctly. I have seen websites that say to install the Intel Chipset and O2 Smart Card first and then the NSS and so on.
