i've downgraded my notebook toshiba satellite pro l300 22p from vista to Xp-pro, don't have the drivers and utilities cd, now the network adapter is off n i cant connect to lan and donot know which drivers to download. i tried the realtek lan drivers from the manufactures site specific for my laptop.

I have a Toshiba Satellite that I got almost a year ago. I lose connection a lot. I have to often enable the adapter because it has been disabled or when troubleshooting it resets the adapter. We have several other computers on our network that work fine. This is the only one with Windows 7. The router is Realtek RTL8187B Wireless 802.11b/g 54Mbps USB 2.0.

When I connect to my home network, I get 'No Internet access.' I am running windows 7 on a Toshiba Satellite laptop. I should also mention that my Xbox 360 won't connect either, but both of my friend's laptops as well as my phone do connect to our internet. Also, using my phone as a wifi hotspot works intermittently.

When I do ipconfig /release it says the following:

An error occurred while releasing interface Wireless Network Connection : An address has not yet been associated with the network endpoint.

No operation can be performed on Local Area Connection while it has its media disconnected.When I do ipconfig /renew I get:

An error occurred while renewing interface Wireless Network Connection : unable to contact your DHCP server. Request has timed out. No operation can be performed on Local Area Connection while it has its media disconnected.

Ipconfig /all gives me:

Windows IP Configuration

I accidental deleted or restored my computer to an earlier point, but I think along the way the Network Internet access Ethernet Controller Driver, Network Controller Driver, Video Controller Driver was un-installed. When I tryed to troubleshoot he Network Internet Conection my computer didnt have a solution. Windows kept suggesting to get help online, but with no way toconnect to the internet because I have issues on hat part I cant fix it.I am usig a diierent computer to install the network drivers needed for my computer to work on a network connection by using a USB to download and then transfer updated drivers fr my network. One friend brought over his Toshiba Satellite so I could connect it to the internet with a 3G USB modem... I know the basics about networks, since I run the networks in the businnes I'm working... But this computer is strange... Once I connect the modem and the drivers are installed the computer shows that it has a internet connection, and I can PING websites in the CMD, but entering any browser programm, I can't browse and it doesn't conecct to Itunes store if I enter Itunes; which means that the internect conection isn't complete or something I have tried EVERYTHING but haven't been able to do anything! I can't get any other proof that the computer is connected to the internet than to ping adresses!

I have turned the computer/modem & router on and off and still no avail. I have used the windows network diagnostic, and it comes up with router/broadband modeum be preventing internet conncection, automacically get new ip setting for the newtork adapter wireless connection, reset the network adapter wirleess network connection. I have done all 3 and it still won't connect.

A few weeks ago my AC adapter for my toshiba satellite laptop quit working so i had to buy a new one. upon arrival of my new adapter, it seemed like i couldn't connect to the wireless internet at my family's house which was working fine for the home computer. I tried to get on the internet in an airplane and I couldn't connect. All of these wireless connections are working fine and no other computer seems to have the same issue. whenever i try to connect to a network in range or my home network, it says that i only have limited connectvity. I have tried posted resetting commands in the comand prompt and then rebooting but it still says I am in limited connectivity.

i have a home network my dell netbook and dell xps desktop are connected to it, both are able to connect to the internet, my toshiba satellite for some reason won't connect. i think the wifi radio isn't working because there is an icon on the front of the lapptop with a picture of a wifi transmitter, and the amber light is lit for that. my router won't recognize it and neither will the other computers. it was working just fine to connect to the internet before i set the network up with the other two computers. the toshiba is the only one that has windows 7 btw, the others one has vista and one has xp. don't know if this has anything to do with it, but im stumped. i trtied to do it manually, but the router keeps saying the mac address is invalid, i get that from ip config.

My router is doing fine, because I go online with my other laptop. Device Manager shows that everything is o.k. I have traced it down to the FN keys because they are not working. I can't turn WI-FI on in my Toshiba A 665, Win 7. At the biginning worked good ,than vanished. Checking Fn > F8 below main icon (with an antena ) do not show up other four icons below, like they suppose to do. So I'm not even able to try to turn it on. Restarting doesn't do at all. Pushing Wi-fi switch, above the keybord, doesn't even show On/of icon.

I have been dealt with a very frustrating problem since Friday whilst I was at uni. My wifi completely went AWOL on me. I cannot get it to find any wireless connections within my range and I am absolutely certain there is more then 5 hotspots within my vicinity, so it has nothing to do with my internet/modem. As well as that other laptops in the family are running perfectly.

I have tried many things including:
- System restore
- Uninstalling, installing the driver
- Restored the laptop back to factory settings ( )
- And most of the solutions within these forums
