I had a TP-Link WR841N router which I replaced with a D-Link DIR-615 today. Before the replacement all my laptops, home desktop and my tablet would connect just fine. After the switch, all machines except the tablet connect to the Internet. My tablet shows that its connected to the router but I cannot access the router admin pages or the Internet. All settings on the DIR-615 are the same as the TP-Link one.

All of them worked apsolutely fine.However, yesterday, my father brought in a new dell laptop. Once he connected it to our wireless, the internet on my laptop (a dell) stopped working. I bought a TL-WR841N to use instead of our Virgin Super-hub which dropped the wifi regularly. It took me a while but I stumbled with the set up and got it working.Super-hub (in modem mode) - cable - TL-WR841N - 2 x cables running to 2 switches for (TV, Sky+, WII) and (PC, X-Box). Everything is spot on apart from the other half's Iphone and Ipad. Neither of them can get on the web in the bedroom. Both apples will join the network, but none will be able to get onto the web. The Wifi bars are on display on both products but they just keep spinning and searching to get on the web. I bought a Huawei repeater plug hoping that would work, but it just slows down everything else that can get on the network.Remembering that this happens only in one room, is there something that I can alter that would let these 2 apples access the web besides walking out on the landing every time she needs to update a web page ?

i've just a D-Link DIR-600 router last month and i successfully installed it and its working great. Until 2 to days ago, my brother told me that he can't conlnect to the wi-fi. I said that its working just fine and told him to just reset his phone. And then, my sister also told me that she can't connect too. I checked their devices like iPhone 4S and iTouch and it says "Unable to join the network....... Also phones of my friends can't connect also. It was just working fine. I haven't changed anything on the router's configuration. I already reset the router, unplug then plug it and its still not working. The router is connected to my laptop and I can still browse the internet. Its the wireless connection that is not.

i bought the TL-WR841N a week back. the problem is that the internet connection has a web based login( wherin i have to go the "login.hathway.com" and enter a username and password provided by the service provider). i was wondering if there is anything i can do so that the wifi router on its own can log on to my account automatically every time i connect a device to the router. I have a home WiFi network based on two laptops and a desktop. They are all running Windows OS. I also have 3 external drives and two printers USB wired into the main desktop.
I have two questions:
1) Will I be able to integrate an iPad/Android tablet into the Windows home network so as to be able to access the .jpg photographs on the desktop drives?
2) Will the tablet be able to output work to the printer attached to the Windows Desktop?
I bought a TP-Link TL-WR841N which i have managed to setup up properly, i am able to connect to the wireless and get internet access. However the minute i walk out of the room or a few meters away i am disconnected and i can't re-connect, i get the "windows cannot connect to TP-LINK" message. The signal strength in on excellent and i know it works because when i stand near it, it works perfect.I phoned TP-LINK technical support who were pretty useless and couldn't fix the problem.

Upon connecting the cables, all the lights are OK, however, during the installation, my pc cannot find the router. I read that supposedly the IP addresses of my PC and the router should be the same. But, even if i change the IP address (to 192.168.1.xxx), the computer still can't find it. Pinging it results to a timed-out request.

I have a fibre optic internet connection, the modem being connected to the TP Link wireless router. The set up works fine most of the time, but at times all the computers connected lose internet connection. The ISP says everything is fine from their end, and locally we are all connected to the wireless router just fine when this happens. I usually just unplug the modem and the wireless router from their power, in order to reset everything, and this seems to solve it.

Took my ages to find that I need to post in the 300Mbps Wireless Routers forum to get support with the TL-WR841N. All the little subgroups are a little over-engineered to say the least.
I'm keen to improve the performance of this router. It needs rebooting and Apple based clients need to reconnect all the time.

We received new tablet and smart tv but cannot use them due to connection problems. The tv will not connect to the router and the tablet shows strong router strength but will not connect to the internet. I checked for firmware updates and there are 3. Do I simply install the latest firmware or all 3?

The sun sign on the modem has been flashing for a couple of days but I am still getting the internet. Is there anyway I can find out why its doing this? I have tried rebooting but still starts to flash.
Speedtest.net with wifi connection on my laptop gives download of 2 MBPS but on my tablet a download of 20 MBPS. The laptop with ethernet connection also gives 20 MBPS.I replaced the whole modem/router.I uninstalled the wireless drive and let windows reinstall it (it's 2008 version)I couldn't find the exact model on Toshiba website to install the drive.I disabled encryption completely.

I have managed to get 2 of the 3 connected perfectly and have a connection of 65mb per second and the other one has a connection of 6mb per second!!I am certainly no computer expert, I am very worried that 2 are working spot on and the other has something wrong with it!!Is it something that could be set up wrong or is whatever makes the wifi connection faulty.
