Can't get internet.I can plug laptop directly into modem and works fine. When I plug modem into brand new wireless router (N300) the light glows amber. I've been through the set-up 10 times. Actually the same reason I replaced old router with this one.
I have a belkin n300 and it whilst the modem itself is showing a static blue light, its coming up as an explanation mark on the wifi symbol on my macbook. This has been happening since yesterday when I was fiddling around with the settings on the IP address (192.168.2.1) to get the printer to work wirelessly which it did once then the wifi network went down.
My N300 Wifi Range Extender does not let me connect to Internet. I can access other systems connected on the main WIfi network, but I cannot access Internet.I observe as well that all systems connected to the Extender appear, from the main Wifi network, having the same Mac address. I believe that my ISP (Telenet) does not accept that, and that this is the reason I cannot connect to Internet. Is there any way to change that behaviour ?
I am connecting to internet via motorola modem which gives me approx 6 Mbps download speed when I test it with both speedtest.net and speakeasy.net. Any device that I use connected wirelessly to my Belkin N300 router only acheives about 1.3 MBps of download speed. Is this just the way it is or could I have a router configuration issue or something else?
I have an N300 router, and I'm having some connection issues. At least once a day I randomly lose connection. This is frustrating because I like to watch videos online and play games online, and randomly disconnecting right in the middle of a game with other people is not fun.
#1: I have an N300 router and all of my devices (two laptops, one PS3, and one 3DS) connect to the internet just fine. But I'm having a problem when trying to connect to a friend on my 3DS when playing Pokemon Black Version 2. I've never had this problem before I got my N300 router. The 3DS connects to the internet without issue to download updates and shop the Nintendo store, but this in-game connection is not working.
#2: When I started using that same N300 router, suddenly my access to www.omegle.com was severely limited. It's a video chat site on which now I can no longer see the other users' video. Rarely a video will come through, by 90% of the time I just get black screens which I know I shouldn't be getting.
My SURF N300 router makes my internet signal very weak, 1/10 of what was contracted but it works perfectly with the cable connected directly to the computer, how can I configure it to work properly?
I have two matching N300 Belkin routers. The cable modem feeds into modem1 and modem1 feeds into modem2. I get a good wireless connection on modem1. Modem2 shows up on a wireless scan and it accepts the password. It however will not connect.
This morning I lost wifi connectivity. I reset the router and powered off and on the modem along with the router but to no avail. The blue stripe no longer shows on the top corner of the machine.I am able to connect to the internet using the ethernet ports on the router. I also tried to get into programming using 192.168.2.1 but it is timing out.
I'm trying to resolve an issue I've been having with Google Chrome. I've found a possible fix but i need to confirm the MTU settings on my router and was unable to locate the setting using the web interface for the router.
Ive Tried to use Facetime on my iphone 4 but connection does not go through I alost notice on my ps3 it noted NAT type 3 does this affect gaming online as well video conferencing?
Cannot get wireless from any computers in home or room even the computer that I have installed the Belkin N300 on. When I click on the Belkin Icon on task bar get message "Wireless hardware not found" followed by comments about wireless radio not turned on and then how to recognize it with wireless radio icons. Now what do I do?
I have a Belkin Surf N300 wireless Modem-Router, but cannot get it to connect to my Android phone. I can connect it to my Nexus tablet, to my desk-top and my lap-top, so I know there is nothing wrong with the router itself. Every time I try to connect the phone, it locates the network, scans, authenticates, but then says "Disabled" and the message: "Secured with WPA/WPA2 PSK" with "locked network" symbol. What does this mean? This is on the label that came with the router: "Security Type WPA/WPA2" but I don't know what to do in order to remove the lock. The phone is a Vodafone Smart Chat and I bought it specifically to be able to connect to Wi-Fi networks.
I have a N300 f9k1002v1 router and would like to add guest access. Unfortuantely I can't find any info on how to do this. The user guide alludes to it but has no details. I also checked out this link: [URL]
since my router setp does not show "guest access" under "wireless" I skipped to #6 as stated. However when I get to #9 there is no "guest settings" dropdown for me to use.
I have a N300 router I would like to put in another part of my house to repeat the signal from my N600 at the other end of the house. Is this possible? If so, how do I set up the N300?
I've just hooked up my previously used N300 router. The router is showing a solid green light, and the laptop recognizes that a solid Belkin wireless connection is out there. I cannot for the life of me remember the network key and/ or pass phrase I originally set. No, I did not tape this info to the underside of the router as suggested in Belkin instructions.
I just purchased a Belkin N300 and it's advertised as being able to video chat as well as have two computers connected to it. I can't even watch youtube videos with just one laptop connected because the ads take 5 minutes to load. Is this normal behavior for this router? Do I need to upgrade to be able to Skype?
N300 F9K1002v3 not loading some websites , other websites load just fine.Brand new just arrived yesterday afternoon.I have restarted the router.I have updated the firmware.I have reset the router by holding in the button on the back of the router. When I plug my computer directly into my modem everything works fine.
I purchased a Belkin N-300 router, model F9K1002V4, about 6 months ago, and recently upgraded my cable internet service to a 20+ mbps level, in hopes of improving the speed of my wireless devices. The speed on all of my wireless devices (a new laptop, ipad, and iphone) is still below 1mbps, even when I'm in the same room with the router. The speed on my wired computer registers above 20mbps, so I don't think the problem lies with the cable internet. I have tried to download the firmware update on Belkin's site, but my computer says it doesn't have the right program to run it, and it can't find the program on the web. I sent an e-mail to Belkin customer service, but they just sent me an automated reply, referring me back to their website, with the firmware update that I can't access.
I need to reset the channel on my N300 router but in order to do so, I need to log in. The log in screen does not take my existing password. How do I get my current password or reset my password? It should be the simplest thing, but I have found this to be extremely difficult with Belkin.
I have just bought a n300 everything works well except i cant get my sky on demand wireless bridge to work , sky have said all ok, as have my broadband supplier. im told i need to maybe change my wireless settings in router !
If the Belkin Surf N300 (Model No F9J1002v1) is CN21/ADSL2 compatible? It doesn't mention it on the box and try as I may I can't get through to tech support UK as I keep getting cut off and the J model router is not recognized on the UK website only the K
