View 2 Replies View RelatedMy modem with single network connectivity (Type I) works fine. I tried to replace with Type II modem (with wifi- and 4 or more ports) for connectivity. I could not establish connection with the server of the service provider. I tried to replace with a different type of typeII modem. Still the same. What could be the reason?I connected the same in a different workplace to a different PC.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just bought an N150 router. I also have a wireless IP camera. I want to keep the same 192.168.2.3 address for my camera regardless of how many other devices are connected when I switch it on. If the address changes I need to connect a cable to access it.On my previous prehistoric Netgear I could reserve addresses that I didn't want to change. I tried turning off DHCP but then couldn't access the router from the wired PC and had to reset it all. Then I had to run cables down the garden to reconnect the camera. Can I turn DHCP off for some addresses that I want to keep?

View 9 Replies View RelatedThis problem started happening a few days ago. Whenever I try to access [URL] on my computer that's not physically connected to the router and modem, I keep getting a 403 error:
You don't have permission to access / on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache/2.2.22 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.22 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 Server at www.facebook.com Port 80 --
but I can access touch.facebook.com and m.facebook.com. If I use the computer that is physically connected to the router and modem, I can access Facebook fine. I've tried using CMDPrompt and releasing/renewing IP to no avail. I use the belkin n150 router with updated firmware and the linksys wireless-g pci adapter with v3 drivers. Never had an issue before up until now.
I recently got a Belkin N150 Enhanced Router Model F6D4230-4 V1. I upgraded it to the recent firmware.
I use it NOT to access internet, but only to hook up my desktop computer with my laptop and my tablet PC. I use Win7 Ultimate on both computers. I configured a Win7 home network and I managed to access shared files between the 3 devices.
However, the speed is very very low, not going over 1.5 MB per second , sometimes even less, although the signal strength is the maximum (54).
The distance between the laptop and the desktop is only 4-5 meters, in the same room. My laptop is HP Compaq 6710b which has what seems to be a "Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection" .
Transfer speed is the same whether transferring from or to the laptop. I configured the laptop according to the instructions in the manual.
I have a G Wireless F5D77634-4A-H V2 router and an N150 Micro USB Adapter on a HP Desktop. The Desktop cannot see the router.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi am signed up for an IPTV service. my service provider set up their own hardware including a reciever and a wireless modem. but their wireless modem has weak signal and i cannot connect to it using my computer in the other room. so i wanted to set up my WAG54GP2 modem to use with IPTV service. but i couldn't. i have followed the instructions described there:
[URL] (support page for some other IPTV provider, i guess)
so, i have checked the configuration details of the other modem which is provided by the IPTV company and found out that encapsulation mode is selected as "DHCP" instead of "Bridge mode only". But my linksys modem does not have an option named "DHCP". so, does it mean that it is impossible to use IPTV with my WAG54GP2 modem?
I can't seem to get my Canon MG5220 Wireless Printer to connect to my Belkin N150 wireless router. The printer sees the belkin wireless router network name but cannot connect to it( after entering the correct security key). It worked fine with a previous wireless router. My desktop PC is connected to the belkin router via direct ethernet, and I want to be able to access my wireless printer which is located in another room from my PC. I think I remember reading that the canon mg5220 may not support WPA2 security, but Its only a year old and would prefer not to regonfigure my router's security setting. how I can get this printer to connect to my router? Any other ways to access this printer from my PC which is connected to LAN via ethernet?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Belkin N150 wireless router. I have enabled MAC Address Filtering as an added level of security. However; whenever I access the router, and if I check that page; the check mark for the option to enable the filter is always blank.
I have checked the option, clicked Apply Changes, and logged out of the router. i went back in this morning, to check the security logs. (Looking like someone is trying to jump on my network) I didn't see anything there, but when I checked MAC Address Filtering; there was no check mark indicating that the filter was turned on.
Is there a way to quickly disable Wi-Fi on a N-150 from the router setup page? I have looked on my admin page but I don't see it. I just want to be able to turn the radio on and off from the PC that is connected via ethernet.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter much troubleshooting to connect and stream content from my desktop to my blu-ray player, it only works if my laptop is also connected to the network. I use a Belkin N150 F9K1001v1. I cannot for the life of me figure out why it will stream just fine as long as my laptop is running as well. I am confused if this is an issue with the router or with Windows7 Homegroup (though other share options proved unfruitful).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have one desktop PC at home, Windows XP, and have a Time Warner wired modem for internet. I work from home and connect to my office computer through Remote Desktop Connection.I purchased a Roku2 video streaming player and bought a Belkin N150 wireless router in order to get the signal from my desktop computer out to the living area where the Roku is located. The connection with the Roku is perfect. However, my remote desktop connection now disconnects constantly and internet browsing on the local computer is very slow and choppy. The configuration I used is 1) Belkin ethernet wire from Belkin to back of modem 2) modem ethernet wire from Belkin to computer. If I remove the Belkin and put everything back the way it was, all is fine ... but, of course, we then have no Roku.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought my own modem, a Motorolla Extreme something or other, is a DOCSIS 3.0. My router is a Belkin N150. When I plug my desktop computer directly into the router, I get speeds upwards of 50Mbps. The wireless, however, gets about 0.15Mbps download, but as much as 12Mbps upload.
I know it's not computer specific, because I plugged my laptop directly into the modem and got the full speed. AND I put a wireless adaptor on the desktop and got the slower speeds.I live in a densely populated area and there are 27 other (visible) wireless networks available (all locked, unfortunately. Otherwise I wouldn't be in this situation in the first place). So I tried every channel, doing a speedtest with each, and I got almost identical results each time: 0.12-0.17Mbps download, 11-13Mbps upload. I can't imagine that getting only 0.15Mbps could be a result of a channel being clogged, but I tried it anyway;
Can the N150 be set up so that it just runs a private network - not connect to the internet? The auto-setup doesn't seem to work without a modem attached to it and I don't want it to be hooked up to the outside world, just a few computers and a NAS device on a private net.
