my computers wireless is on and i can connect through an ethernet but my hp compac 6735s with vista os cannot find any available wireless networks not even my own one.I know the router is working as my other computer works wirelessly. I have updated drivers and i keep getting error code 31.
Well I did something stupid (big surprise) and somehow managed to uninstall something related to the ethernet ports. I get code 28 and a yellow question mark with a little yellow circle with a black,Anyways what do I need to do to fix this, attached details from everest. It's probably something as simple as reinstalling the drivers, but buggered if I can figure out which ones I need.
i'm currently studying at a college which has a website with a student intranet that is available to log in from any computer. So far it has been working well and I can log in on my home laptop and upload documents and look at presentations etc. Today for no reason when I try and log in I get the message Error Code 500: Internal Server Error and the webpage does no appear.I have had no problems previously and this has only happened today and yesterday, I went down to the college and accessed the website fine from the computers in the library but still no joy from my home computer.
I did not put a wep code/passphrase in my router when asked if i wanted it secure. I said yes and router was set up secure but I don't know the code. How do i find it?
Windows 7 64 bit with latest Windows updates Microsoft Security Essential with latest updates Zonealarm Firewall Free with latest updates Windows Firewall off and can't turn on, error code 0x80070724
Problem:Yesterday, I installed VMware Player and XP Mode to play a legacy game; also, some Automatic Windows Updates were applied. After the Windows Update's all done, it prompted me to restart every 10 or 15 minutes, even after I chose Postpone 4 Hours every time. Probably one hour after, I closed VMware Player and restarted Windows. Later, I found my Internet didn't work anymore.
Troubleshooting Attempts:I had already did the ip stack reset, removed VMware Player, restarted the wireless router, restarted WiFi, reenable WiFi adapter, reinstalled Wireless driver with latest driver, System Restore to the day before (System Restore said it didn't work, but Windows reboot said it has been restored), disabled the Internet sharing (I didn't turn it on, I guess some program like VMware did it), removed Stored Wireless Network Profiles and added later.Windows 7's network troubleshooting found no problem.
Current Situation:The home wireless network is working properly for sure, because both my phone and others' laptops connect to the same WiFi and work properly.I installed Ubuntu 12 on this same laptop and connected to same WiFi to go online.WiFi is shown to be connected and working. I can ping and connect to the wireless router (192.168.2.1), but unable to go to any website.

I just started school and would like to use wireless internet on my new laptop instead of cable on my desktop.
A visitor wants to use his laptop but I don't know the security code to get his computer to operate on my network. How do find that code and put it on my flash drive??
I thought I would leave a message on a problem. I did two chats to the support desk and this was not brought up and it is obvious. I just installed the 4200v2 as a replacement for a NetGear. I bought for the n performance and the USB for a shared disk/media file server. I connected a640G Western Digital My Book to the USB. I was able to see the drive in the asp interface of the router, but I kept getting the "error code: 0x80070035 network path not found" message. My computer is a 6 month old HP with Windows 7 running Bitdefender Internet. I found I could get to the drive from my wife's Toshiba (only used for browsing, so minimal security), so I thought it was a firewall issue (also what Cisco said). After doing some Internet mining, I found that the issue is the Netbios setting in IPv4. My PC had the setting Default, which requires the DHCP server to provide the setting and apparently this was not set by the 4200. Without Netbios the disk cannot be mapped. Changing this to NetBios "enabled" solved the problem. This can be reached by going into the Control panel:Network and Sharing Center. Click on the connection (either local area or wireless), then open the properties, click on the TCPv4, Click properties, then advanced. Go to the Win tab and select Netbios enabled.
Suddenly out of the blue, a I cannot acces my NAS anymore from my laptop. From any other computer in my network I can acces the NAS. My laptop has also no problem with the network in the office

For some odd reason, my playstation portable system will not allow me to access the wifi signal anywhere there is one available. The problem seems to be that the dns code is not correct. I need a COMPLETE & relatively EASY "walk-through" to fix this problem.
I have a new computer but I can't connect to the D-link internet connection because I can not find my security code. Can I find the code somewhere in my old computer? If not is there any other way to get it?
Just purchased a Blu Ray wireles ready disc player and it requires the encryption key to connect to my network. Either I copied it wrong when setting up the WiFi or I don't have it. But either way it won't let me connect to my network. It a Panisonic disc player which is wireless reeady and 3D capable.
