My app session was working fine and i managed to see it all up and working. now that i have tried to run script commit-redundancy etc i see the session as APP_SESSION_INIT instead of up. The log shows me on the standby box now that it sees the following :

I am new to Cisco ACE, I have a ACE 4710 MD running, I would like to know how can I know what session persistence is running on the ACE, I what to know if it is using soruce IP or any other persistence.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI only have configured load balancing on apache with a very simple setup. I have to deploy 2 applications on my clients environment that run inside jboss. One of these applications needs session to be sticky to work properly. The other does not.
In apache I can configure is the sticky parameter is true or false, based on the url, like /appA/* is sticky and /appB/* is not sticky. Can I do that in a CSS 11503? My client insists that it is impossible. That the CSS is only ip based.

I try to make session-reuse working on an ACE-4710 Version A5(1.0) without success. Actually, I am facing the problem of the high number of backend HTTP connections that must pass through a firewall. I want to reduce this amount of open sessions with real servers by allowing the ACE to establish permament TCP connections with each rserver. However, it does not work as I expected. I still see individual TCP sessions established and closed after each GET - 200OK exchange. The parameter-map I have to enable this feature is as follows :

Client to ACE ? ACE to rserver ? all together ?
We have a pair of CSS 11503 installed in our DC. Stickiness is configured for one of the application since long back and was working pretty fine till last couple of months. Since last two months, we observed that CSS is not distributing sessions the way it suppose to be. Mostly, it forwards the session to same server even though request is coming from different sources. Once we refresh the sessions manually, it starts working fine. We have to do this exercise manually every alternate day.

CiscoWorks do this automatically with a key of 1024 bits and I do not find a form to elect a a diferent key. Is it possible to generate a certificate with 2048 bits key?

I have a problem when trying to access from a workstation on the internal network to an external FTP server using Explicit FTPS. After the server requires the client TLS Authentication the client inits TLS but the connection is closed by timeout.
I have disabled the FTP inspection on the firewall and I have opened some high ports from the Internet to the test workstation (ACL and NAT rules), but without results.
If I try to connect from a workstation to the FTP server using a direct Internet connection I can access the FTP server without problems, so I think the problem is in the ASA.
Everytime I make a config change to one of the contexts on our ACE20, I get this message: Config Application in Progress. This command is queued to the system

When I try to ping my LAN Gateway IP (10.20.30.1) it does not respond and I cannot access it with any other tools.I am pretty sure this is a very ACL issue and it makes sense to hide the gateway by default but the big question is how do I configure my router to see the Gateway and be able to access it from the VPN session?

i have enabled accounting globally on the ASA firewall through aaa accounting enable console ACS and also enable accounting in the tunnel-group itself, to which the user is using.
on ACS 5.1 ,i could not find any option / TAB that can give some information on the session duration.
What command sequence disconnects you from a TS session? My setup is as followsr1 > TS > 2009-2621XM 2010-3825-R1 2011-3825-R2I can connect from the TS to any of the devices. The issue is that I am telnet'd to r1 and from there telnet'd to the TS. So when I type "Crtl+Shft+6, x" I go directly back to r1 and not the TS. Furthermore if I resume the session on r1 the TS is still connected to whatever session I was in prior to disconnecting. I've experimented with the disconnect and escape characters but I'm at a loss what it is that changes this.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have inherited the support of an ASA5520 running 8.0(3)12 code and I believe I have a pretty simple question here that I haven't been able to figure out on my own. I have a few users that connect to the box via IPSEC VPN client connections. They want to be able to leave up a RDP based connection, for monitoring purposes, for a most of the day, but thier RDP connection keeps getting discounnted after a few hours. The VPN connection never gets disconnected, just the RDP session running through it. I have another box running 8.0(4) code and they can leave up the RDP sessions as long as they like without getting disconnected from the server(s). I have compared the configs of both boxes and don't see any glsring differences in regards to the configuration that would cuase the RDP sessions to either to stay up or be disconnected after an inactivity type scenario.
What to look for in regards to identifying the timer that is disconnecting the RDP session after a period of time.
I will use function of span in sup70-3b.How many session can use in sup720-3b? For example, 2 or 4 session.

We're having trouble trying to deploy 802.1x authentication on a brand new site.
Our primary and secondary ACS are located in Paris and the new site located in Toulouse, France. Both sites are connected through the WAN. Everytime a computer/user connects to this new site in Toulouse, ACS 5.2 sends a "5411 EAP session timeout" error message.
