We have a network of approximately 20 computers, network printers, and one Windows 2003 Server (used simply as a file server). I have an issue with two specific Windows 7 Pro workstations that just will not logon. The username and password details we're using are correct, but the server rejects them. I can logon using the same account from any other Windows 7 Pro workstation, or Windows XP station, so I know the issue is specific to the two workstations communicating with the server.
Both afftected stations show Logon attempted by: MICROSOFT_AUTHENTICATION_PACKAGE_1_0 error 0xC000006A which all searches on Google point towards incorrect login credentials, however I've tried plenty of perfectly valid login credentials and they don't work either.I've tried checking that the 128bit option on the Windows 7 machines is disabled in file sharing etc.

I am trying to lab up an ACS5.2 with windows 2003 AD for PEAP authentication. But my ACS does not join the AD and throws an error "can not resolve network address". But when i do an nslookup on ACS CLI , the same domain wireless.abc.com is returning with the IP address of my AD. I think i am missing something in windows AD/DNS configs here as i am not a windows AD expert.
1) My AD domain is wireless.abc.com. In my DNS, i have a zone called wireless.abc.com. and i have added "New Host" in that DNS zone with the "name" as blank and providing IP address of my AD (AD and DNS are on same windows installation) . Is this the right way to do ?
2) I should be entering "wireless.abc.com" in the ACS active directory domain name field and do test connection. right ?

While LMS 4.0 is supported on Windows 2003, it appears that LMS 4.1 is not, per release notes. Is that a hard and fast rule? Will 4.1 install and run on Windows 2003, although not supported? I have 4.0.1 running on Windows 2003 and would like to upgrade to 4.1 but cannot upgrade to Windows 2008 at this time.

I want to limit the concurrent login my users can have. I have downloaded and installed Limit Login from Microsoft and followed the directions to a T. However, when users login it doesn't do anything. The scripts don't run (I have them listed in the logon and logoff scripts for users in the default domain policy). The scripts are stored in a share that everyone has read access to. What am I doing wrong? I have installed and uninstalled a million times following the MS directions included with the software to the letter, but it won't work. At one time I had it working and then we had some network problems with profiles and it got messed up in that process. Now I'm trying to get it back, but can't. Even uninstalling and reinstalling.

I am trying to configure a 2901 router to act as NTP server on my network. This set "ntp master" in the router.I have no possibility to access an NTP server on the Internet. Now I want to configure a Windows 2003 DC to update the time from the NTP Server (router 2901).In Windows 2003, the registry value "Ntp Server" may have to be IP addresses or FQDN? (In my case I put router_ip_address, 0x1) 0x1 = use this "SpecialPollInterval" to update the time? Where you can find that these actions mean "next action is 3"? In Event Log in Windows 2003 DC receipt Event ID 35:The time service is now synchronizing the system time with the time source ROUTER2901_IP (ntp.m | 0x1 | W2K3_SERVER_IP: 123 -> ROUTER2901_IP: 123).Configure "Special Poll Interval" in 10 seconds. But the time on the Windows Server 2003 DC continuous five minutes ahead of time compared to the 2901 router.

i have recently added to a domain. The initial setup is a server running windows 2003 and several xp machines which logon to the domain using mandatory profiles. However, after adding windows 7 machines and logging them on to the system it doesnt load the profiles. (which is fine as I understand you cannot use the same profiles with windows 7+xp)The problem is it automatically creates a roaming profile when logging off and saves it back to the same path as the other profiles under user.V2 which is growing considerably and causing huge logoff and logon times. How can I get the windows 7 machines to not attempt roaming profiles back to the server and instead to just save the profiles locally when logging off.

When I try and copy files from my Windows 7 Home PC to my Windows Server 2003 share, it copies so much then hangs the Server sharing. It then appears that the share has disappeared. If I copy from the Server 2003 to 7, it copies fine, and copying from XP to 2003 also works fine. I had a chat with a colleague who told me that he has the same problem copying from Vista to XP.
