Sep 7, 2011since i got my laptop "Dell Inspiron N5040",i tried many times to activate Bluetooth got device configuration from Ur official site>>and try to install it but i failed and shocked by notice appears to me if i try to install device "Activate Bluetooth using wireless switch"after many trials ,installation of other application in same driver config.is finished and Bluetooth icon appear on desktop but not working device manager , Bluetooth driver look "driver not working properly"and driver coated by yellow triangle try to uninstall it and reinstall again but nothing is changed tried "bluesoleil" and not solve my problem.....

Jul 22, 2012I purchased a Dell Inspiron N5040 several months ago, and since I first got it, my connectivity to my in-home wi-fi upon start-up fickle. I still have my old laptop, and on that one I simply open the laptop and it's connected. This new one, I have found that I MUST put it to sleep before closing, and upon "waking" it back up, I may or may not be connected to the wi-fi upon restart. A little "caution" symbol will appear over the wi-fi indicator, and it say that I am connected to my network, but no internet connection. Sometimes I can disconnect and reconnect, but sometimes I have to put my computer to sleep and start over again.what I need to do to have consistent connectivity?

Feb 9, 2012Recently I have purchased Inspirion N5040 with Windows 7. I have observed the system looses internet connection when on Wi-FI.
Checked Ping on Yahoo & google with -t option and found few ping response and then a lot of request time outs.
I am sure you must be doubting the signal strength of Wi-Fi but I can confirm the signal strength was fine. In fact I performed ping test simultaneously on another laptop . The performance on other laptop was fine but on Inspirion N5040 I was finding too many Ping drops and was not able to browse properly.
I also, verified setting on Wireless adapter and found it is in DHCP.

May 17, 2012I have a DELL Inspiron, just 10 months old and ever since I have reinstalled the windows and I try to install the bluetooth drivers and wi fi drivers, during set up I am asked to press Fn + F3, it worked like before the reinstallation of the window, but now it is not working, the wifi or bluetooth does not get turned on, what to do now, how to cure it coz I really need the wifi service. Feb 6, 2012having recently installed the correct bluetooth module inside our dell insprin1750, all the drivers loaded fine and it said all installed ok, I can see all items in the control panel/hardware list as all ok... not highlighted or anything so assume its all ok. When I click on the bluetooth icon down on the bottom is pops up and says bluetooth is working but not visable to other devices click here to change... which I do, then the problem.... nothing happens after that !
I am unable to add any devices to bluetooth list despite it saying its working ok in hardware properties etc.
My last resort is to restore pc to factory state via re-install of windows 7 but I do not really want to go down this route if at all possible.... I have tried restore to no avail.
