My laptop restarted at some point during the night and now it can't connect to my normal wireless network. when I use my phone as a wifi hotspot, my laptop can connect to it.My desktop connects to my home's wireless network fine so I'm not sure why my laptop, which can connect to other networks fine, can't connect to my working home network

Feb 15, 2012I recently took my Dell Inspiron1545 out of sleep mode and my wireless internet connection no longer works.i have tried power cycling the 2-wire modem and the Cisco Valet router and resetting as well. I also have another laptop and xbox that use this network and are having NO issues in connecting and working perfectly fine.
The only device not working is the Dell laptop. I've tried removing the network profile, uninstalling the wifi driver and reinstalling after powercycling the computer and still nothing but limited connectivity only The WLAN utility has stated that the "Gateway IP Ping" has failed Now the laptop will connect to internet via LAN cable however will not to WiFi
I have attached the IPconfig spec sheet and hopefully somewhat can steer me in the right direction and get me back up an running.

To reinstate here. It is a refurbished notebook. I don't know if that has anything to do with my problem. But there is no wireless on/off switch. And pressing FN and F2 at the same time is not enabling my wireless adapter. Is there any way to enable it? Or could I have a faulty wireless adapter?

Jun 12, 2010I got a (one year old) Dell Inspiron 1545 and I'm using it always with wifi on to get connected to the net.Since a couple of days this Wifi connection often goes off and on (by itself) and I got no clue what it source of this problem is.My Eventlog says that it switches off very irregulary (between 3 and 10 minutes). I've installed the newest drivers and got the latest updates for the Wifi card and on my Windows Vista.

The WiFi worked before I re-loaded windows from the recovery disc, The radio switch indicates it is on but it doesn't seem to find any signals. I am running windows vista sp-2. Jun 21, 2009I recently purchases an inspiron 1545 notebook with various upgrades, one including an upgraded wireless card to get faster speeds and signal strength. I have had problems with this laptop ever since i recieved it, i have an old laptop with a worse card which picks up my signal perfectly fine and the speed and signal stays constant. With this inspiron 1545 with a "even better" wireless card i have many problems:,losing signal,poor signal strength and quality,speeds going from decent to slower than dial up,I will be checking this as often as possible.

The 'repair wireless network connection' does not work, it tries to repair it then stops at 'renewing your IP address'. It has nothing to do with the wireless network, because we are at a university and only this computer will not work.

Dell :: Inspiron 1545 - Laptop Will Not Detect Wi-Fi
Oct 27, 2012I have a three year old Inspiron 1545. About a month ago the computer stopped detecting the wifi at home. It never had this problem before, and the other household laptop and iPhone had no problem detecting and getting onto the the wifi. The problematic laptop will connect to the net via wire. I get a red x over the connection icon, and when I put the cursor over the icon, a message reads "connection status unknown: the dependency service or group failed to start."

Feb 17, 2012I am trying to get my mom's n7110 working correctly in a hurry. The WiFi is painfully slow. It is not the router because I am getting great speed on every other computer. The speed on the n7110 is very unreliable. One second it will be 3mbps or lower, then it will jump to 14mbps.....compared to my inspiron 1545 that gets close to 20mbps according to [URL].

Mar 24, 2013I have installed a fresh windows xp pro. os and downloaded a list of recommended drivers from Dell's driver page but some of the drivers will not load and I get the error "no Intel adapter on board." I am not sure what to look for at this point. I also downloaded a 32 bit gen adapter from Intel but it wont load. I could use a push in the right direction so I can get back to getting my homework done.
