I recently purchased an Inspiron 1545 from Best Buy that came with a Dell Wireless 1397 card and Vista. Due to some special application requirements, I needed to downgrade to Windows XP. However, I am unable to find the link to the Windows XP Dell WLan installer package for DW1397 for the Inspiron 1545
On the driver download center for Inspiron 1545, it has an XP installer package for a different wireless card. Any link to download the correct Windows XP Installer package for the DW1397 card for Inspiron 1545?
My Bluetooth was working even when i upgraded to Windows 7. After a while it stopped. I tried installing back with the Installation CD but whenever the software asks me to "Activate Bluetooth with the wireless button" on my computer, it never continues. i dont know where the problem could be from again. i've tried all i know.
I upgraded to Windows 7 today and got the message "Your Bluetooth Software license does not include use with this Bluetooth device ." I can see the 590Plantronics in the "Bluetooth Headset Operations and Settings" window but it would not connect.
I looked for and installed the latest driver for Windows 7 on the Dell driver downloads site "Widdcomm Bluetooth Software 188.8.131.5200". When it installed it gave a "Device unplugged" message for four instances of "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" but despite a "Ready to use" message for "Bluetooth Hands-free Audio" the overall message is "Device did not install properly" and I still cannot connect to my P590 headset.
I downloaded Windows 8 on the first day of it's public release. I have an Inspiron 1545 laptop. As soon as I installed W8, my wireless card stopped working. Is there any chance that W8 drivers will be released anytime soon? I am very dependent on my laptop and need to get it up and going again.
I recently upgraded a relatives Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop from Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit! To Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit. Previously this was connected wireless to a netgear router. On upgrading the OS i have found that the previous network is no longer showing up in the list of avalible networks even though a number of other devices can still connect and see the broacast of the SSID. As other networks are showing up and the laptop can succesfully connect to others I dont see this as being a driver issue. I have checked the router configuration for broadcast of SSID and MAC filtering. My next step will be to connect the router and laptop via ethernet.
I just installed Windows 7 on my M1530, and everything works flawlessly...EXCEPT bluetooth. I downloaded the drivers from the dell website (for vista 32bit), but when I try to install it says "Press Fn+F2 or turn on the wireless switch". The wireless switch is already on, and I press Fn+F2, but to no avail. It worked fine on Vista Home Premium 32bit. I tried running the install file in compatibility mode too, to no avail. how to make it work?
when I upgraded to windows 8 pro on inspiron 14r 4010, Bluetooth doesn't work. I installed all the latest drivers except the drivers for Bluetooth which didn't install...even tried compatibility. when I press the Bluetooth key ( sign marked on F2 key) nothing happaens....no any message. previously on windows 7 ultimate,it was working fine.
My Dell Inspiron 1564 cannot detect Bluetooth. I've tried with the dell drivers for Dell inspiron 1564, but i cannot install them. I also tried some advices with other drivers, but i couldn't install them either.
I did not get the bluetooth software for my inspiron n 5010 in 'drivers and download ' for windows 8,so what should i have to do to get this .

I just installed Windows 7 ultimate 32bit on my Inspiron 1520 and everything works brilliantly except the bluetooth!I downloaded the drivers from the dell website, for vista 32bit, when I try to install the driver it says "Press Fn+F2 or turn on the wireless switch".
The wireless switch is already on, and I press Fn+F2 and nothing happened. The driver worked fine on Vista Home Premium 32bit.
I recently had to re-install Windows 7 on my Inspiron laptop, no problem did that easily, put in my CD and done.
But when it had finished, I realised I couldn't connect to the Internet, so I got my old laptop, entered in my service tag, and downloaded the 3 network drivers listed. Stuck them on a USB stick, copied them onto the newly restored laptop, installed them, restarted. And it still wasn't working, to my dismay.
I have a Dell Inspiron 14z 5423 ultrabook.
I only need to connect to the Internet, I can let the online thing do the rest, I just need to connect to the Internet to do so.
I just updated my OS from Windows 7 to 8, and I bought a new Galaxy S 3. Nobody seems to be ready for Windows 8 functionality. I don't know how to find the bluetooth feature of my laptop anymore now that I have windows 8 installed. My phone scans for it, and can no longer find it.
I have connected my phone to the laptop, it installs the phone, but cannot find the photos and videos that I have on my phone, even thought there are tons of them.
I thought perhaps I could Bluetooth them to the laptop, but so far, it's been nothing but a frustrating morning trying to locate the bluetooth function, and Dell's website doesn't seem to understand that people actually upgrade their systems to Windows 8, so there's no support there as far as drivers go.
