View 1 Replies View RelatedI had to default my wireless router " Netgear WGR14V6" and since then I haven't been able to connect with my wireless card. I can physically connect to it with a cable but I can't access it with the wireless card. When I look at the properties it says that it is working fine but I can't seem to find where to change the "SSID and the security phrase". Usually when it is up and running it has a status button and when you click on it there is a tab that you click on and it shows you the SSID and the rest, but now since it is not connected there isn't anything that I can find to change this.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently had to wipe my Vostro 1710 Laptop, and start brand new. However, my drivers disk is broken, and will not install the drivers.I can not seem to find the correct internet driver to download to get my wifi up and running, and it's kinda important that I do. What is the process of finding these drivers, and transferring them via USB stick from my desktop to my Laptop?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've a Dell VOSTRO 1710. When I use an ethernet connection with my router, there is no problem. But when I try to have a wireless connection, all the wireless network of mine and of my neighbors are recognized, my WPA password too. Vista (32 bits) says I am connected but, when I try to reach a page on the web, get my e-mails or even ping an IP, I get no response. Note that I have other devices connected to that router which works without problem. I thought it was the driver of my Wifi card (Intel 4965agn) that does not work. Thus, I try to update (and even downgrade) them from Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN - Download Center. Nevertheless, it does not work. Note that it worked one week ago. The problem has suddenly appeared.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with the 1395 wlan mini-card. Windows would connect to my wireless network automatically, without a hitch. Then, I suddenly disconnect from my network for no reason. when I check the wireless manager, I can't find my own network, but I can still see other people's. About a minute after that, I can't detect any network, and I must restart my laptop to fix the problem. All other computer on my network does not experience this problem. The other computer does not even report being disconnected from the wireless network. Turning the bluetooth and wireless card switch off then on again does not solve it, nor does going into device manager and disabling then enabling the wireless card work. The only way is to restart the computer.
I just finished upgrading my OS on the latitude XT from Vista to windows 7. I formatted the hard drive before installing windows 7. This problem did not occur when I was using Vista, but it has occurred every time I boot up on windows 7. I have installed all the relevant drivers and my router is up to date on the firmware. The wireless network is encrypted using WPA2 AES, and has mac filter on, only allowing listed mac address to connect. It is broadcasting on channel 11.
I have used this computer for more than two years on Vista without this problem occurring, during which time I did several reinstall of Vista. Now, when I install windows 7 on it, this problem all of the sudden starts happening. I think it could be I forgot a driver or something, but I checked and rechecked, and did numerous reinstall of the mini-card driver to no avail.
I think I am having problem with my network card I am running windows 7 with Dell wireless 1390 WLAN Mini-Card lots of times the signal is low and I get the error message no internet connectivity or some other error message that I am not being able to connect to the network provided by my wimax modem, Is there any program that I can download to test if there are any errors related to the network card or any way to fix this?

I have recently re-installed Windows XP on Dell Inspiron 2200 and notice that I no longer have the icon to view or repair wireless connections. I have installed drivers R91081.EXE (8MB), R92088.EXE (1MB) and INFEENUA.cab (195KB) from Dell web site – Drivers download page but can’t see to be able to bring up the icon.
Which driver(s) I need to download?
I have owned this laptop since 2005. It has been excellent so far and I would very much like to keep using it until it finally gives up.
So I just got this Linksys E1500 wireless N router in hopes that I would get a better signal within my room as opposed to my older router. Unfortunately, nothing has changed, in fact I think I'm getting weaker signals. My previous router was a D-Link WBR-2310. I went to speed test.net and tested 3 variables. My wifi on my desktop in my room, my wifi when right next to a router on my laptop, and my wifi using my neighbors wifi in my room.
What is the point of this new wireless N router, when it can't beat a G router older model in reach? And why does is have a 0.50 mb d/l speed but a 3.6 upload speed?
tell me if the Dell 1502 wireless n mini-card will function on a wireless network working on a/b/g bands?
View 1 Replies View RelatedCant' seem to find any updated drivers for this card. Just installed new AP's supporting wireless 'n', and can't seem to get the speeds past 54MBS. AP's are configured properly. Under the setting in device manager I can see the rate setting for 802.11(b/g), but not n. If this card is not 'n' compatiable why state that it is. Hoping to get an updated driver . My version is 5.10.235.12 1/7/2011.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have a dell vostro 3350. I use it with both Windows and Linux OS (Mint, Ubuntu).
Recently I faced an issue with my motherboard (I guess it was a matter of short-circuit) so I called the Dell assistance and they quickly came out and substitute my motherboard. After that intervention, my wi-fi and figerprint reading stopped working at all. So I called again Delle assistance and they substituted both the wi-fi and the fingerprint reader. Everything seemed to work fine... since my PC went in hibernate mode.
In fact now the wi-fi card is disabled (not even seen by the OS) after the PC goes in sleep/hibernate mode or even if it is turned off and than on again. I need to turn off and on the PC at least one more time the PC in order to make the wi-fi card found (and working) again.
I checked with all the three OS I have in my PC so I guess the issue isn't related to the drivers. On the other hand, it looks like the wi-fi works totally fine... when it works. It is quite a systematic effect and not related to bumps or mechanical sullicitations, so I guess it is not a matter of wrongly-connected card either..
I have a DELL Studio 17, with a DW1520 Wireless N WLAN half mini card. Whenever I go to the control panel utility, it tells me there are no wireless adapters, yet, the very fact I have this post up shows I am connected to the Internet. I have wanted to specify a specify local lan IP address but I cannot access the utility... yet the device manager tells me its running ok. However, downloading the utility from DELL, it tells me that there are no compatible devices.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an Inspiron 8600 with a Dell wireless 1350 WLAN mini card. It operated perfectly with a Belkin 54G router but when we changed to a Plusnet Thomson Gateway router I started to lose the signal for about 20 seconds every few minutes. I complained to Plusnet who replaced the router. I have never been able to connect wirelessly since installing this piece of junk. After trying for three solid days I contacted a technician at Plusnet who tried all the usual tricks, even taking over full control of my laptop, without success. He is going to contact Thomson to see if there are any compatibility problems with the Dell 1350 adapter as there are known ones with other Dell adapters.
I suggest Plusnet should not supply this router and further reduce their charges so that customers could supply their own trusted versions.
I want to change my wireless mac addres, but i can't.

New corporate Latitude D600 with Dell installed Cisco mini 350 wireless b card. Getting "Not Associated" status. Dell will not support this card.... %^&$%.
Using a Netgear wireless g router for home office. Attached are a Gateway hard wired and a Toshiba laptop with a Netgear wireless g card. Both are working great. Netgear says router is OK and it supports both b and g. Toshiba laptop identifies every wireless in my neighborhood but the D600 and Cisco cannot detect any signal. I have tried with and without security and every combination setup. Cisco has attempted to correct this problem but are still baffled. When I enable the Cisco card via the network and dial-up setting, it tries to initialize and then posts a message that the "network cable is unplugged"
I have dell inspiron 640m with Wireless 1390 WLAN Mini-Card and it is connecting perfectly with any other routers. but i can not connect it to CISCO WAP4410N router ! i tried several times but no way.
I can connect IPAD , Samsung Smart tv , Denon network radio and toshiba laptop but not my inspiron laptop. I think my WLAN can not get th WAP4410N IP address !
I got a Studio 1535 Laptop which comes with a Broadcom WiFi card that is named "Dell Wireless 1397 WLAN Mini-Card" in the Hardware Manager.
I tried to connect to my ZyXel WiFi router but though i had it all configured right, Windows would always come up with "you entered the wrong key". After playin around for some time i figured out that everything just works fine when i switched my router from WPA-PSK to WPA2-PSK. My router features both WPA-PSK and WPA2-PSK but since my other PC does only support WPA-PSK the router is set to that and i want it to stay that way. I just don't want to buy new hardware for all my other computers.
So is this WiFi card strictly incompatible with WPA-PSK? Does'nt make any sense to me because WPA2 works just fine! Normally they are downwards compatible aren't they? (Moreover, when setting up a connection i can choose WPA-PSK from the dropdown menu.
For the past few weeks, I have been having trouble maintaining a steady wireless internet connection. I intermittently lose the connection or the strength of the connection fluctuates. I have an Inspiron 1521, with a Dell Wireless 1390 Wlan Mini-Card. Also, I am running Windows 7.
A couple of hours ago, I suddenly lost my wireless connection and could not reestablish it. I ran the diagnostic tool, which reported that there was a hardware or driver-related problem with my 1390 mini-card. Now, when I go into Device Manager, it has an exclamation point next to it and it says "This device cannot start (Code 10)".
I have restarted my system and downloaded and installed this driver URL . Device Manager now says, "Windows has determined the driver software for your device is up to date," but there is still a Code 10 error.
Does this just mean that the card needs to be replaced? I am not sure what to do now -
find a Driver for the NIC for windows 8 64 bit Pro. I have a Dell Latitude E6410 and the driver from Microsoft worked for the most part but I was having issues connecting to my Windows phone 8 device (Nokia 920). First I though it was my phone but when I tried other devices like my Surface I could connect with no problem. I am also running Windows 7 32 bit, when I boot up that OS I had no issues connecting to my phone. I also had issues with stable connections to my 5Ghz Wi-Fi access point. Well if any of these symptoms sound like something that you been going through then check this driver out. I used the 43224AGN 802.11 a/b/g/n 2x2 driver and now everything seems to work.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Dell Inspiron 11z (1110) with Dell 1397 mini wireless card. The wireless connection lags/drops persisitently at any time of day or night. When I connect the computer to internet via ethernet the connection is stable. When I run a diagnostics on the wireless card all pass, except the internet IP ping. I get the following message:
The wireless router/AP for your network is working, but your computer is not able to use an IP address to connect to the Internet. You will not be able to connect to the Internet, although you might be able to connect to your local network. Contact your network administrator or wireless router/AP installer for assistance.
I have installed latest driver for the 1397 mini wireless card, albeit a couple of years old.
The wireless router I am using is Netgear Rangemax Dual Band DGND3300v2. I can get into the router administration area but am at a loss as to how to reset/re-install it.
I have new Inspiron 1720 running Vista with the Dell wireless 1390 WLAN mini-card. I will be connected to the wireless network just fine, but it will then disconnect. My problem is I cannot re-connect to it without having to do a total restart. I go to the place to refresh the list, and it finds nothing. I ask it to repair the network, and it can't becasue it cannot find a network. I have at least 4 other networks in the area that I can normally see, and none appear when I hit the refresh button. But I totally restart the system, and everything works fine again (until it drops again).
