I tried installing back with the Installation CD but whenever the software asks me to "Activate Bluetooth with the wireless button" on my computer, it never continues. i dont know where the problem could be from again. i've tried all i know.

Whenever i am installing i get a "ERROR": This installation can not proceed. Please check service pack of your OS.I installed OS 4 time but get the same problem.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have 29 Latitude C640 laptops. they all have the Dell True Mobile 1150 (Internal Wireless) I need to be able to use WPA-PSK w/(TKIP) encryption. So I entered the express service tag and found a recent driver which says it supports WPA. I downloaded it, installed it, and it does allow me to enter WPA-PSK mode and allows me to input the key but it will not connect. I spend almost two hours on the phone with a Dell Wireless Support Agent, who finally tried to convince me that 802.11b does not support WPA. (ACK---_) When I asked why my service tag, input on the support page, takes me to a network driver for the TM 1150, which states the reason for the driver update is (Support of WPA in Windows XP), she placed me on silent hold, then elevated volume music hold, then transferred me to General Hardware support.... How to be successful in utilizing the True Mobile 1150 (aka Orinoco) and WPA.

Its normally supports Widdcom Bluetooth driver which is manufactured by Broadcom and Modified by Dell ......But dell has removed Windows 8 support In some old Windows 7 laptops like N5010.....But fortunately the windows 7 drivers are working fine on windows8 and most of them are installed during the windows installation....But the main problem is the Bluetooth driver (Dell Wireless 3XX module)
Broadcom has released their Bluetooth driver for Windows 8 PRO.....the Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0 driver has support for a lot of Bluetooth devices and Dell Wireless 3XX Bluetooth module is in the support list.....But as Broadcom don't provide drivers directly to customers.... they give it to the system manufacturers like Dell, Lenovo, HP, etc. and the modify it for ease of their customers.so here is the Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0 driver from Lenovo site which is running fine on Dell 365 Bluetooth device without any compatibility issue and also you can use Bluetooth Control Panel as you do in Windows 7?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Inspiron 1520 which came with windows Vista and I recently did a Windows 7 clean installation. There were no drivers specified for Windows 7 in Dell Driver Download so I installed Vista drivers, connected to internet via LAN Cable and upgraded most of the drivers.
WiFI networks could be detected when installed for the first time but after a shutdown it never detects again. Sometimes it randomly detects, I tried using the laptop for 2 weeks now and only 2 times the WiFI automatically came up.
There is a switch to pull after turning on WiFI radio, which will display the list of WiFi networks in a window, that Switch is not responding now.
i have installed Ubuntu 12.04 LTS on my Inspiron 1520 (Clean installation). The OS is working fine and most of the Drivers are working properly. The Wireless LAN is installed but the sometimes wireless networks are not detecting until the computer and access point are restarted several times. The situation is similar to the problem which I faced for Windows 7 in the following thread.

View 4 Replies View Relatedhaving recently installed the correct bluetooth module inside our dell insprin1750, all the drivers loaded fine and it said all installed ok, I can see all items in the control panel/hardware list as all ok... not highlighted or anything so assume its all ok. When I click on the bluetooth icon down on the bottom is pops up and says bluetooth is working but not visable to other devices click here to change... which I do, then the problem.... nothing happens after that !
I am unable to add any devices to bluetooth list despite it saying its working ok in hardware properties etc.
My last resort is to restore pc to factory state via re-install of windows 7 but I do not really want to go down this route if at all possible.... I have tried restore to no avail.
