Getting Error Messages With Limited Or No Connectivity

Our building used to have a very old server that basically just served as a place for teachers to store files and not much else. We have just changed ISPs and decided that we no longer needed the server at all. I disconnected the server from the network and replaced the old ISP's modem with the new ISP's modem. At first, everything seemed OK. My computer and several other teachers' connected to the Internet with no problem. However, some of the computers in the building could not connect. We get error messages with "limited or no connectivity." Part of me thought that perhaps the connections themselves are bad. However, when I take my laptop to classrooms with trouble connecting - mine connects easily using their cables. If I move their computers to my room, their laptops still won't connect. I have put my computer side-by-side with another one to make sure the settings were the same (auto-detect IP, DNS, etc.) and can't find differences. This problems is affecting our Windows 7, Vista, and XP computers the same.

My desktop is fitted with a Belkin 54G PCI card which I have never had problems with before. My desktop is in the basement and due to poor signal issues another router has been set up in the basement. I had to constantly repair the connection to the previous wireless network but even though the signal is much stonger with the new router and network I am having even more issues with not only having a repair the local only connection issues but also with 'limited connectivity' and the only way to resolve it is to restart my computer.

I started having this stupid problem after i built my first computer, in my old computer it was all fine, am using an ethernet cable between my pc and laptop, it is crossed or whatever its called, when i plug it in it gievs me an error, limited connection or no connectivity which pisses me off, i have all the drivers installed everything is up to date.. sometimes it connects, but after 10 mins it disconnects again, and sometimes it works fine until i reboot my pc..

I just got a used Acer AspireOne AOA150 ZG5 Netbook and upon bringing it home, I received a "Limited or No Connectivity" error when attempting to use the internet via wireless. I have another laptop that connects at the same time with no issues. The Netbook DOES work if I hardwire into my home router. I have since taken the Netbook to work and it connects to the wireless there with no issues. So it seems to be an issue specifically with my home router/modem and this Netbook.So far I have flushed my DNS cache, done the Winsock and reset my TCP/IP, removed wireless profiles, and tried the Repair function.None of that has worked. My wireless properties are also set to automatically obtain the IP address.I'm on XP SP3 and it seems like a lot of folks think that it's a SP3 issue, but I don't think so in my case since the wireless is fine in other locations. Yesterday after booting my comp up I wanted to get on the internet but for the first time in years with my set up it just wouldn't connect, never done this before, we have a wireless O2 box upstairs which my son has a ethernet directly from the wireless router into his comp and my other son has a notebook (same as mine) and both of them were online but mine just wouldn't connect although I had nothing to say anything was wrong, o2 told me that if the other computers were online then it must be something on my comp that is causing the trouble ? but what could it be ? after three hours offline I rebooted and it was fine and got onto the internet no trouble, this morning it again wouldn't let me online and then bingo it just came on again at 4pm very strange to me

About three(3) months ago, I attempted to set up a wired network between a laptop running w-7 and a desktop with w-xp, sp3. Shortly afterwards, I started getting blue screens with error messages and codes about device confilcts. After disconecting the laptop, I still have the problem sometimes. I looked into the system, and found twenty-seven(27) items with yellow exclamation marks on them. Should I delete them or just disable them?

I am constantly getting a few errors in my ASA 5510 and 5505 from the same IP. The IP of my NMS server, which has also stopped recieving SNMP data from these two VPNs.
Syslog Id: 713048 Error process payload: Payload ID: 1
Syslog ID: 713902 Removing peer from peer table failed. No Match.
Syslog ID: 713903 Error: Unable to remove PeertblEntry
I have tried to configure ACL to let traffic through. SNMP traffic to be more precise, but since I am fairly new to cisco firewalls and SNMP in general this has proven very difficult.

We started getting the below syslog messages from one of our ASA5520 which was recently upgraded to 8.4(2). Any bugs on 8.4(2) that cause this or its simply the RAM failure?

I had these error messages on both my Cisco 2851 and on my Cisco Catalyst 6506.
On Cisco 2851:

i have currently a 2504 WLC and some 1602i AP's.Basically so far i have configured the WLC as per the guidelines on the startup and now i want to join the AP's (which i haven't managed to do yet) and the setup the wireless network.I can get the AP to join and pickup an ip address and that is it. It comes up with different error messages from the WLC, and through hyper terminal, none of which i understand but the main jist is the following:

I have been having some gripes with the above problem for the past few days, connecting several PCs in my office into a network. To cut a long story short, it's a bunch of XP SP2 and SP3 machines with only some of them having these issues. The network consists of two switches and one router with integrated modem and wireless. Internet access is established over that router/ ADSL modem.I have drawn out all the cabling and made all the connections myself, I don't doubt network related hardware one bit. Basically, I had the problem on two PCs, I tested connectivity on that cable with a laptop which didn't have any problems connecting to the network. I manage a small office network IP's are generated via a rooter. I need to add a new pc to the network and here is where the problem starts.I have a cable from a HUB in that office which has a splitter 1 way goes to a PC the other is empty. At first i tried connecting the other PC from that splitter but i get the Limited or no Connectivity message on both PCs. If i connect only one of them to the splitter the connection works fine.Now i tried with a HUB, made a Crossover cable from the splitter to the HUB in the WAN port, same deal both PCs get Limited ot no Connectivity. THe strange thing is that if i connect only one via the HUB the same thing happens.I am really out of ideas, my only option left is to connect the PC from the main HUB which means allot of cable posing.

When using an Ethernet cord, I have no problems connecting to the internet. Also, my iPhone and my Wii have no problems connecting (wirelessly). However, I can't get any laptops to connect to my wireless. I have tried three different laptops and get the same problem, that it can connect to the network but limited or no connectivity.

I have a spare computer I build. Its a FX-60 on some old asus 939 motherboard. I installed xp in it because I don't have any wireless network adapters that work with linux or Windows 7.I am using an old Linksys WUSB11 Ver 2.6. USB adapter.The computer does have connectivity if I plug in an ethernet cord from the router. Worked fine, fast, was able to install Sp3, etc.I can't get the wireless to work. I get excellent connection strength, but can't actually do anything with it.Since this is XP and I haven't messed around with XP network settings for years, I think I got a bit rusty and spoiled with Windows 7.

I have a WLC 5508 and several 1142 access points. The APs are not showing up in the WLC. When i console into the APs, im getting the following errors,

Ive tried resetting the WLC, reloading the APs. I even factory defaulted one of the APs and still getting the same message.Ive verified that the WLC is set to accept MICs and SSCs.

We use C2950G switches with IOS 12.1(22)EA12 . Switches are set up to send logs to a server (informationnal level). On this server, we receive many of logs from those switches, but none about interfaces errors (even if interfaces statistics show interfaces errors). On C3548 switches it's work fine.How should I be sure the set up of switches is correct ? Why do I never receive messages as %LINK-4-ERROR:[char] is experiencing errors ?

I got the urge to play a Windows game, so I used my restore disks to install XP on my Acer Aspire One A150. Unfortunately, my wireless card does not work anymore (?). I am dual-booting with Ubuntu 10.10 at the moment and my wireless card works there with no problem.I get a Limited or No Connectivity error every time.I'm connected to a router, which I have reset and works okay in Linux. I am connected currently using a USB D-Link N-Adapter, however, despite being "N" is considerably slower and inconvenient.

I've searched the forums and found similar problems that relate to mine but after trying done of their solutions with no success I decided to make a new thread. This problem started 2 days ago with the same network I've been using for about 2 months.I'm running vista sp 1. I use google chrome and when I try to open a page it says unable to connect to proxy server. I changed the lan setting s (unchecked the box for using a proxy server for my lan) and now the page says the dns lookup failed.

I have a laptop running XP that will connect to the router wirelessly but not the internet. We have a static/fixed IP that I think may be the problem. Im not sure what the IP address is. I usually bring my laptop to classes to do homework during my free period and it connects through ethernet no problem. Today, randomly it says theres limited connectoin (no internet connection), but there's numerous other people here with laptops who are connected through the ethernet or wireless network, and their having no problems. My desktop PC ran Vista Home Premium and about over a year ago, suddenly developed the dreaded, 'Limited Availability' connection error when I tried to connect via ethernet cable to my D-Link dir 615 router.I have tried all possibilities (detailed in the other forums I have posted this issue in), like all the ipconfig commands in the CMD prompt, rebooted modem and router and pc but still getting this issue. [codde] As you can see - the Belkin wifi dongle connects fine, with an IP address of 192.168.0.101, however, the SiS191 ethernet controller (which has current and up to date drivers) refuses to connect and gives an IP of 169.254.241.0.I have also tried copying the settings from the wifi dongle and manually entering them for the ethernet connection but this also does not work..I don't think its an issue with my router as I also have a laptop, connected via ethernet, which works fine. Also have 2 iPhones, 1 iPod, 1 iPad, Xbox and Wii which ALL connect to the same router (via wifi) without any issues.

We had a lightning strike near the house and it fried my NIC card (or so I thought), also my power strip. I replace them both along with my Ethernet cables. My internet intermittently goes out, every couple of minutes. I keep getting pop ups saying "Local Are Connection has limited to no connectivity" and/or "a network cable is unplugged".

We have netgear router and 3 laptops which were all working on the internet fine but one laptop has had a full recovery done on it and now won't connect it just says there is limited connectivity, what it could be as the net is still working through Ethernet and the other laptops through wireless. Its windows vista.

Okay so I have a dual boot computer(windows xp3 and Linux Ubuntu). The Ubuntu wireless works so that means my hardware actually works, but my windows xp doesn't connect. First I have the xp3 so my recovery disk from Toshiba some of the stuff is outdated. I installed intel chip-set, intel proset(my wireless) , wireless LAN, oh the stuff that have to do with wireless and still doesn't work. This is what happens, proset finds the router tries to connect and it says limited. I tried repairing it but nothing works. P.S. the stuff that are outdated are like the QFE ( those are a lot of files in my Toshiba recovery and every time i try to install them they don't work they say that the system I am using is better than the stuff i am trying to install)(QFE is also just the name in front of the file and there is at least 25+ , don't know why it is QFE)

I recently moved into a new apartment and when I connect to the router using the wireless. I get limited connectivity, it accepts the security key but can not get the internet. Connect wirelessly to another router within range and can connect to the internet via that. Also if I connect a ethernet cable to the router it gives me internet access. I couldn't see any settings in the routers menu that would prevent me from connecting(but im probably being blind).
Two other guys I'm sharing the apartment with can connect to the internet wirelessly with no issues. The router is a Thomson TWG870UIR.
