Hp Officejet 8600 All In One Wireless Printer Won't Connect To Laptop?
May 8, 2012
I have an all in one hp officejet 8600 plus and i cant get it to connect to my laptopOperating system is windows 7. It's connected to the network, laptop connected to network, but printer isn't connecting to laptop. This function is handy so i can sent scans to an email or folder on my computer but it wont connect. I keep getting an error, unable to connect with printer over network. I've been on the phone with hp for 7 hours so far in 2 days and they still don't have an answer!!! I called dell and they said its a software issue and need to pay $90 for them to fix it
I have 4 different OfficeJet Pro 8600's installed in 4 different locations, bought from different vendors. In every case I get the same problem. This is a Networking issue. All printers are wired to the network. The printer is not the cause of the problem. The problem persists even if the printer is off.The problem is that: When computer is left on overnight, the next morning, webpages can not be accessed, and the network communication with the printer is gone. You can not print and you can not browse.
HP 5110 OfficeJet HP Officejet 5500 All-in-One series overview - HP Small & Medium Business products
for access to anyone that wants to print. There are about 7 PC's and I bought a USB to Ethernet adapter so it plugs from the back of the printer and into the Ethernet port on the router.I am trying to access it from a Mac OSX 10.5 computer and 2 Windows PC's...
i just bought an HP Officejet 4500 wireless all-in-one printer. i imagined this would mean that my laptop can print to the printer without a USB cable, but also that the printer itself would not have to "cable" to anything, but rather be wireless and located anywhere in the house. was i wrong? does this printer HAVE to connect physically with the router box?
I am attempting to add my HP Officejet Pro 8500 wireless printer to my HP elite book. The printer is showing up in control panel as being my default printer. It is showing up as being offline, even though the drop down menu does not show it as being offline. No printers are listed in the device manager.
I have run three computers on my wireless network for a few years now, and have an HP OfficeJet 6500 Wireless printer that has worked seamlessly on all computers. That is, until I secured my router. I had an open wireless connection that I changed to secure (WPA) a couple of weeks ago and have been unable to connect to my printer wirelessly to print. It will print if connected to USB. The first day I was able to enter in my WPA key just fine, but not since. It doesn't appear to be finding my connection. Oddly enough one of our computers (a laptop) is able to print to this printer so I am not sure. All computers are running Windows XP, I believe with SP3. I use a D-link wireless router. I have tried using the HP solutions to no avail and have checked in the documentation that came with the printer. As an aside, I now appear to also have another wireless connection which is a "computer-to-computer" connection, I believe an ad-hoc connection?
Had to uninstall pure networks software as wouldnt work with new HP printer software 8600 at all. took me 2 days to figure that out. anyways I am a newbie when comes to networking. I finally got everything to work but I cant get the xbox to connect. I tried within the software at the IP address but nothing happens, DWA 552, Software version A2, Firmwre ve 1.1 os/ win xp media 2005.sp 3 computer: made by me: Intel BX97520J (bad axe) cpu: Intel quad, 6600 2.4 ghz,

I have a HP Photosmart C6300 printer connected wirelessly to my laptop. I recently aquired wireless internet service. Am unable to print directly from web sites. only after I am off internet will print.Contacted HP and they want to charge 20.00 to tell me how to fix the problem, since my printer is out of warranty! I just want to be able to use the product I purchased from them.
1. Printer:HP Officejet 6600 2. OS: Windows 7 3. Error: Cannot find printer on wireless network *name* 4. What did I do? Just installed the printer software from HP website.
I got the HP Officejet 6600 and successfully connected it to the network at home. I managed to connect the home desktop (Windows 7), a laptop (Windows 7) and a Macbook Pro. These are all the personal ones. However, when I tried to install the the HP Officejet 6600 on the work laptop, the installation wasn't able to find the printer on the home network when doing it wirelessly. I managed to install it the USB cable but that was about it.Also, when trying to install it wirelessly, it found our home network, couldn't find the printer so it prompted me to type in the IP address for the printer, which I did, however, it still wasn't able to find it. The work laptop is connected to the home wireless in the network connections and the American Express server. Is there a way to get around this issue so I can connect the laptop to the printer wirelessly as it would make life a LOT easier.
My mom has a Toshiba laptop that she got for Christmas and a lexmark all-in-one wireless printer. Every time she tries to print something to the wireless printer, the item just stays in the printing queue. However, once she restarts her laptop all of a sudden the laptop and printer seem to communicate, and the printer always starts printing whatever was in her queue from the previous time.so when she wants to print something it automatically starts printing, and she doesn't have to restart her computer every time to print stuff.
I am trying to setup the wireless printer (Canon MX436) to my ACER laptop (windows 7).
I am not very techincal and the instructions say to "Press and hold the WPS button on the access point (for about 5 seconds)." but have no idea what this means.
I know the laptop has the wi-fi turned on but when the printer searches it doesn't find it.
I'm trying to connect my cannon printer to my laptop. I have a Netgear Wireless Router. My wifi is passworded. I can't get past the access point. I'm stuck in set up mode. It wants me to hold down the access point on my router and I don't have an access point button on the router.
have a home Sony VAIO Computer running XP Media Center Edition, Belkin Wireless N Router, HP B209 Wireless printer, 1 year old Lenovo laptop, and an iPhone 4s.I can't make them all play together.I noticed yesterday that my iPhone hadn't been connecting to the WiFi for several days, so I tried to see what might be going on. I tried to force pair the iPhone by turning off Data Connection, which usually forces the WiFi, which it did, but then when I went to a webpage it wouldn't load even though wifi was showing full signals.I then booted up my lenovo laptop, and it connected to the internet and worked like a charm. Then my iPhone4s started working again. Why not now finally set up the wireless aspects of my HP B209 that I've never used, so I can print from my laptop wirelessly, which I've always wanted to do.So I was able to setup the printer after adding the MAC address of the printer to my belkin router by going to the IP address for the router and adding that specific address, I changed NOTHING ELSE.Internet on laptop not working now. It shows my wireless network with full bars in range, but when I go to connect it simply says it cannot connect, right away. I check my phone, wireless GONE again! I tried to force pair the phone, no dice. I "forget the network" on my phone, it still shows available, I connect put in my password and it immediately denies me, I tried un-plugging the router, restarting all computers, un-plugging router -and- restaring all computers, turning off the printer, repeating all previous steps, and finally I went and deleted the MAC address I added to the router, and all of the above did nothing to fix the solution.
I have a PC running XP connected to a Huawei HG 520b router via an Ethernet Cable. A printer is connected to the PC using a USB cable. A Notebook running Vista connects to the Router via WiFi. I would like to print directly from the Notebook using the Printer which is connected to my PC. Is this possible and if so what do I have to do?
I have a BT homehub router with perfect wifi connection to my laptop operating Windows 7. I cannot connect via wifi with my HP Photosmart C4585 printer? In the diagnostic check it states my Network Name (SSID) has FAILED.
I have an Inspiron 8600 with a Dell wireless 1350 WLAN mini card. It operated perfectly with a Belkin 54G router but when we changed to a Plusnet Thomson Gateway router I started to lose the signal for about 20 seconds every few minutes. I complained to Plusnet who replaced the router. I have never been able to connect wirelessly since installing this piece of junk. After trying for three solid days I contacted a technician at Plusnet who tried all the usual tricks, even taking over full control of my laptop, without success. He is going to contact Thomson to see if there are any compatibility problems with the Dell 1350 adapter as there are known ones with other Dell adapters.
I suggest Plusnet should not supply this router and further reduce their charges so that customers could supply their own trusted versions.
I have a HP OfficeJet 6000 Wireless that I used so far through the Ethernet network. What do I need to do to convert it over to wireless? Can I do this without installing the heavy duty HP SW on each client?
I am trying to have both my laptop and brother HL-3070CW printer, wirelessly connect. I go through the entire setup process and all is well. Until the end. It tells me that my security settings are incorrect. Therefore the wireless link status has failed to associate.
I just picked up a new Windows 7 laptop for my home. My live in girlfriend has a Vista laptop and we both connect wirelessly to our linksys network. We also have a lexmark printer that is connected wireless as well. The Vista laptop has worked and prints fine with the lexmark. Now I have been trying to connect my new laptop to find the printer but when trying to add a new printer or even trying to add a new device windows 7 never finds the printer. I have installed the drivers from lexmark and have even enabled sharing on the printer properties from within the Vista laptop and still my win7 cannot find anything. What can i do to add this printer?
I have two computers. My host computer runs Windows 7 64-Bit. Last December I upgraded from Home Premium to Ultimate, which may have changed my configurations though a month before I had to do a complete reinstall of the Home Premium before I acquired the upgrade. My remote computer is XP-Pro. The HP connection is wireless. There is no problem printing; but to use some features the HP on its control panel requires me to enter a proxy address. How can I configure my router settings to fully use the HP web services? At this point, the HP doesn't even update. I cannot access things like apps, ePrint and other web printing functions because of this sudden need for a proxy connection. It doesn't even show the email address for the device.
I recently purchased an Epson XP-205 Wi-Fi printer, and I set it up on my network and installed the drivers to my laptop, initially I could print over the network, but since a restart I can't. I have tried an uninstall and reinstall of the printer, but to no avail and if it matters, I'm running W7 64-bit.
I've ensured the printing programs are part of my firewall exclusion rules, and I can access the printers set up page via 192.168.1.3, also as expected, the printer is "pingable". On top of this my Android tablet is able to send things to the printer, so I'm sure it is an issue with my laptop.
