Nov 16, 2009
I have a Linksys wmp200 wireless adapter in my PC, and will installing windows 7 pro 64bit in a few days. I was wondering, does the wmp200 support Windows 7 64bit? If not, how can I get it working? It is very important that the internet works on this PC, so im hoping for minimal issues.

I have tried running all versions of the setup program that came with the adapter. Even when I ran the compatibility program I still get error 211 adapter not recognized. When I looked in the device manager the adapter is listed but with problems. Under properties it shows windows cannot load the drivers required for this device error 31. I also tried updating the drivers from the device manager using the ones I downloaded directly from linksys website. The ones for the 64 bit windows 7?

I have spend some time today trying to get my WMP600N-EU PCI Adapter installed. However up till now without any success. I run the installation CD with instructions, but the adapter is not found when I mount it into the PCI slot. I have tried both slots without success. Each time I get error 212.

I have the above mentioned WMP54GS. And I just got a Windows 7 capable computer and got it installed. Now I can't find a driver that will work at all. Other than the Broadcom drivers that Windows installs naturally. (The Broadcom drivers are terrible. I play World of Warcraft and when before on my old Vista 64-Bit system I would get around 50 to 60 MS I now get 180 to 200. ) How to get this to work.

How can I determine the version I have?V1.0 list no driver for Win 7 64bit. V3.0 list a driver for Win 7 64bit.Research I found looks like the adapter is not computable with Win 7 64bit.

I just recently upgraded my OS from Win XP 32 bit to Win 8 64 bit. I am trying to get everything in order and most of the drivers are now working (CCC for my graphics card, driver for my Striker). However, I am having difficulty locating the driver for 64 bit windows for my Linksys adapter.
For the moment I am running wifi by using my old XP setup (which is the only way I can post on [H]). :P

I am having problems with my wireless internet. I am using windows 7 64-bit OS and am connected to a WRG614v6 Netgear router. I will be on the internet and will have superb connection then my connection will drop, when i view the network it says that i have lost IPv4 connectivity. Pulling the power to my router then powering it on again fixes the problem for a hour or two but then connection is lost again. Here is the readout when connection is stable

Using win7 64 bit 1 pc upstairs and laptop down stairs,no need for file or printer sharing so its disabled. Is it right that the public location setting is the safest setting with the sharing option disabled, and that wpa etc is not used, If you know you won’t need to share files or printers, the safest choice is public network.

We've been getting broadband through a WRT54G v2.2 router into numerous computers with WUSB54G v4 wireless adapters into winXP PC's for years now, but I've recently got a 64bit Win7 PC which needs internet connection. I spent all day today trying to find drivers, workarounds and god knows what for the WUSB54G v4 which (I'm pretty sure now ) don't exist for a 64bit system.
How do I get internet into this Windows 7 PC? Will I just need to get a new adapter? (and will it be compatible with the current router?) I don't especially want to get a new router and several new adapters just because we have one new Win7 PC... If I do just need to get a new adapter, in terms of performance/compatibility?
Oh, and how ancient is the hardware we actually have, and does/will it effect the internet in any way?

I installed Windows 7 Ultimate on my computer, and I cannot get my Linksys to work on it, the light doesn't light but it shows up in device manager. I've tried using Vista 32-bit drivers but it doesn't work at all, I am thinking it isn't a driver issue at all because it shows that the driver is up to date.

I have tried to install a usb network adapter wusb100 ver.2 under win7 x64 and win7 x64 sp1(two different machines). I have installed and downloaded the latest drivers ( Driver11/09/2009 Ver.3.0.3.0 (64-bit)). Device manager reports everything is fine, but i can't find the adapter anywhere in the Network and Sharing Center on both machines, not even if i run ipconfig it won't show up. As a result of course there is no wireless connection available. Although adapter has worked fine when tested under win7 x32. But win7 x32 is not my case.

I've noticed that my WUSB54GSC is completely unsupported by Windows 7, nor has Linksys published any new drivers. From browsing these forums and the internet, many other Linksys users are experiencing much trouble with getting their wireless adapters to work with Windows 7.So please, Cisco, publish new Windows 7 drivers... I'm completely taken back that there is nothing to do with Windows 7 anywhere on your site, and disappointed at none of your products being ready for the new Operating System. Im stuck with a useless router. I've tried for hours and hours to try random fixes i found on the internet, force install drivers preloaded on Windows 7, and force install the out of date Linksys drivers....to no avail. I still need to activate my Windows 7 online, and i can't activate it if my wireless adapter doesn't work. I will keep this in mind when i purchase routers/adapters in the future. I've already tried using the ra-link drivers to get my adapter working, but every time i get a "code 10" error stating that "This device cannot start". Any driver that i do install from Windows 7 pre loaded drivers ends up giving me that error. And all the out-of-date linksys drivers don't even successfully install the drivers...

I have just bought the aforementioned Wi-Fi adapter. I have installed driver for it, and in Device manager in General tab I can see that "This device is working properly". owever, the corresponding connection in Network Connections is disabled, and I can't enable it. When try to "Set up a new network" - I only see a blank window with no devices listed. Windows network Diagnostics says: There might be a problem with the driver for the Wireless Network Connection adapterDetected

So I have a (relatively) old WMP54GX PCI adapter that used to work great under XP. However I moved and was able to put my computer right next to my router so I no longer needed to use the adapter. Fast forward about three years later, I now have Windows 7 installed and need to use to adapter again, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to be working. The drivers never seem to finish installing after reboot, and I'm not sure what I should be doing. I noticed the most "recent" driver was released in 2006, so it doesn't look like there's even one available for Vista, let alone Windows 7.
Am I looking in the wrong place for the drivers, or is Linksys really not supporting their slightly older hardware on new operating systems? If there are no drivers available, any ways to get it working in Windows 7?

Are there any updated drivers for the AE1200 on windows 8? in win 8, I'm no seeing both bands - only 2.4Ghz and I'm only connecting at 54Mhz.
The disc that came with it has V5.100.68.46 which seem to be the lastest on the support site.

So I just bought and recieved a new computer with the wireless WMP600N.
I turned the computer on and a had small lags every 5th second or so which, even though they are small, are pretty annoying. I then tried to look for a reason as to why this happens and what i found out was that if a turn off the wireless internet connection the lag spikes stops and if I turn it on they occour.
My computers specs are:
I7 2600k 4x 3,40ghz
Nvidia geforce GTX 570
8 gb 1600mhz RAM
WMP600N wireless-N PCI
Windows 7 64xbit
