Unidentified Network No Internet Access Windows 7 Wireless?
Nov 3, 2012Two days since i had a power shutdown in my building so i had to disconnect both the modem and the routerfter i reconnected them my wireless network is shown and i can connect through my hp laptop but it keeps showing the Message "unidentified network not internet access". Other laptops and my ipod have no problem at all. I've tried following some tutorials that told me to disable and enable the network, i've checked that my ip is obtained automatically.

Mar 30, 2011He's getting a error saying Unidentified Network. After letting fail windows troubleshoot I got 2 errors. The first was "The default gateway is not available, the second was Local Area connection doesn't have a valid ip configuration. Here's what Ive tried so far.I tried in safe mode. Ethernet works here so I assume is a software issue?Uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers. disabled and enabled, nothing..I tried going into configure network card and giving Network Address a random 12 digit value and that failed.Ive tried updating the drivers but I cant because Dell wants me to their download manager into the computer that has no internet to download the drivers /facepalm..I basically ran out of ideas. This is a Dell Studio laptop. It has 2 network cards a wireless and a Ethernet, the ethernet card is a Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller, The wireless DW1501 Wireless-N WLAN Half-Mini Card

May 15, 2012basically was online with my desktop until around 4am central US time. Went into the other room and fell asleep. Woke up around 9am, sat back down, Unidentified network and No Internet access. That's where this god-awful day began. I've tried so many things (from tech forums) I may forget a few... I've tried disabling IPv6, disabling Bonjour, enabling/disabling the adapter card, all kinds of stuff in the command prompt... reset this, flush that, restart restart restart restart restart. I uninstalled the adapter driver, rebooted, installed the latest from a flash drive, didn't do anything. Really the only suggestion I haven't taken is recovering Win7 from factory specs and reinstalling about everything since one guy said that still didn't fix it and this is causing enough trouble already without more misery in the mix.

Jul 20, 2012I been struggling to repair my internet connection for more than a month now and i haven't found an answer yet. what happens is that every time i re-start my computer or some some time it just disappeared, my net connection. In order to get my connection back there are a lot of different procedures and mix up that i'll have to go through until one of them hit something and return the connection back up. Below are the action so far i have taken:
1. Re-start my computer.
2. Re-start my router
3. Intentionally plug out and plug in the hard wire connection.
4. Change the adapter settings by disabling and enabling it.
5. Do the re-installment of the network through device manager and so on...
i even have tried re-installing my windows 7 but still the problem persist.i have un-install my built in anti-virus esset thinking it may have some how contributed in the disturbance.

Aug 21, 2011My wireless system has an added network connection: "Unidentified network" with no internet access, My regular home network connection shows internet access I cannot seem to get rid of that one "Unidentified network and I keep getting disconnected sometimes and have to go to the network and sharing center. That can take anywhere to 10 minutes before I am back on "network access". Right now the sharing center shows multiple networks with icons for both.

The Belkin router is connected to a Motorola modem.I connected my devices and 2 desktops to the router wirelessly and I have internet access. There's one that connects but there's no internet access. Startet out with getting Trojan.Agent.cn in svchost.exe, according to Malwarebytes it got "removed".But the next time i startet the computer, it was there again. So i did some research on how to remove it.Used tdsskiller, Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit, roguekiller, and finaly combofix, before i got it removed.From this point, Malwarebyte Anti-Malware was unable to start, and has to be reinstalled.Next problem was the Network was stuck on identifying network, after doing some research on my new problem,

After checking out in services, DHCP client, DNS Client, TCP/IP netbios helper, plus some others wasnt running.They were sat to Automatic start, but was stopped for some reason. When chosing to start DHCP client i got this,
Error 1075: The dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion
Same for DNS Client and others. After searching the net, i found several solutions, where i only got one to "work".Alot of them suggested to edit this in the registry, but the only thing i got working was to delete the entry, and have windows restore it by it self.

This somewhat solved the Identifying network, that was stuck on, but only to get me to Unidentified network, still without internet. By looking into services again, DHCP Client is now marked as "Started", but several of the others are not, and i still get the error on the others.
Unidentified Wired Network / No Internet Access
Jun 10, 2012I live on a school campus of sorts, with several wifi connections and routers (all of which I have access to, and can reset, etc). Normally I have no problems connecting to any and all wireless routers. Recently, my internet quit without warning. I've tried connecting via a hardline, and I've tried resetting pretty much every router and connection on campus, with no luck. Everyone else is still able to connect with no problems.When I connect to a campus wireless connection, it connects, but gives me the error "rseau non identifi, pas d'acc�s Internet" (translates to "unidentified wire/network, no internet access"If I run diagnostics on my network card, it finds the problem as an invalid IP configuration:
"Problmes trou - Connexion seau sans fil 3 n'a pas de configuration IP valide"
If I run ipconfig/all, I get the following:

Nov 28, 2012I had an issue with my Win 7 networking on LAN but no problem on wifi. When I plug in the network cable, it takes very long time to detect, and when it does, it shows Unidentified Network - No Internet Access and stays as public network. I do not have the normal options to choose Home, Work or Public Network. This happen at my work place. But my colleagues which on Win 7 have no issue. I tried to uninstall the anti-virus, disable the window firewall, but still fails to detect. There are few LAN port at my work place but it produce the same issue, very, very slow to detect.

I worked with this configuration for a month with no problems until one day after automatic restart coused by windows update i couldnt connect to the internet
As for now the pc is unable to identify my home network (when you look at the network adapter you can see "Unidentified network - No internet access") Ipconfig brings back APIPA 169.254... All the laptops in the house are connecting to the network with no problems when connecting with wireless adapter everything works fine
I tried the folowing :
- update the network adapter driver
- reseting the TCPIP protocol (netsh)

Nov 13, 2012I am running windows 7 which has recently been updated from Vista. other computers on the wifi network are running vista. I have a net gear CG3000 IStaus router/cable modem attached to one of the other computers on the network. My network adapter is TP-Link.My firewall is commodore and my virus software is avast (both free versions). My SP is Optus. When I first installed windows 7 everything was working fine . In the last few weeks when I login to my computer, I can attach to the other computers but I have no internet connection. When I go into manage wireless networks it says I am connected to an unidentified network which has no Internet connection. I have tried deleting this network from " manage wireless networks", moving it down in this list, making it a manual connection. I have uninstalled the network adapter and reinstalled it and other ideas picked up from the web. Nothing seems to work. Sometimes I will get a quick window where it will work but then it disconnects again and the unidentified network is back. Not today though so am typing this on my IPad. I can't download or install XIRUS WIFI for obvious reasons.

When I try to connect to my internet, it connects, but attempts to "identify" the connection for about 10 seconds then it says "Undentified network" and fails to have internet access. 2 other computers are connected to this network with no problem. Feb 5, 2011my computer is a dell dimension 1100, with a Linksys WMP54G wifi card, running vista home basic.In the wifi thing in the notification area, it shows two wireless networks, One is my normal SSID (Lower Net), and one is "Unidentified network". They are both on one wireless connection (Wireless Network Connection 3). When i try to go on the internet, it says i'm not connected. i tried disconnecting from the unidentified network, but that disconnects me from lower net too.

May 23, 2012During this time we've had two different Internet Service Providers as well as two different modems. Also we've had 9 different devices connected to modem wirelessly. ( 2 Desktops, 3 laptops, 2 Xbox 360s, and 2 Nintendo Dss ) And this desktop is the only one that has had any issues, it's also the oldest of the devices. So I doubt the issue lies within networking but more with the actual desktop. I've even conneceted the desktop straight to the modem with an ethernet cord, also to no avail.

Apr 25, 2011ok i did the cmd ipconfig and it says media state disconnected.also i uninstall a network adapter it was the isatap one also it had a yellow mark one it so thats why i tryed to uninstall it i thought it would let me install it agian but it didnt so i did that add legacy hardware so now it shows it in the hidden devices tad with out that yellow mark also when i try the problem and solution found the isatap sayinf could not load driver software click on it and it says windows was able to successfully install device driver software but the driver software encountered a problem when it tried to run.the problem code is 31. the control panel tad would all was say microsoft windows came up saying window explorer has stopped working windows is checking for solution to the problem windows explorer the internet was working then and it still was i think it had that internet ball on it but when i try to use the internet it wouldnt connect

I am connected to the router but it says unidentified network, local only...When I lost connectivity I spoke to my ISP provider and they took me through all the steps then determined that it is the router that is at fault and are sending me a new one. Dec 12, 2011I switched on my laptop today and it wouldn't connect to the internet because of an 'unidentified network' problem. Last night before I went to bed it was surfing the net fine and then this morning, nothing. No one has touched the laptop overnight and it was switched off all night so I have no idea how this has happened. I'm using my internet connection via my iPhone with no problems. I've already tried several things to try and fix the problem - I've reinstalled all network adapters, have fiddled with IPv4 settings, have deleted and re-setup my network connection, and have restored Windows to a previous point. I can't connect my laptop to the router using a cable because I live in a bock of flats where lots of people share the same router and it's locked in a security box, so I'm just using a wireless connection.
