Jan 2, 2012I have attached screen prints in various formats.The machine is a PB Easynote TM01 laptop running Win 7, using built in wireless and for some time I have been exeriencing hit and miss internet/network wireless connections.With my limited knowledge I have managed to identify that two of the network adapters are not showing in Device Mnaager when there is NO connection but are showing when there IS a connection.I think this indicates a faulty (or knackered) network adapter.I now have no connection whatsoever and haven't for about a week.I have plugged the machine into the modem now and internet is fine, but what is the point of having a laptop that can't sit on your lap when it is plugged in.

Dec 23, 2012I am using my Iphone 5 as a personal hotspot at home. It gets LTE so my speed is very fast as compared to satellite service from HughesNet. My laptop downloads at 12 mbs and uploads at 5 mbs versus satellite which is about 1 mbs. However, I installed a Linksys N300 usb adapter on my wife's workstation and it is actually slower than 1 mbs. The workstation is about 4 years old running on Vista. I have tried the usb adapter in all four usb slots with no change in performance.

Oct 18, 2011Now my problem started happening after my desktop computer got unplugged. When I booted back up, I was unable to connect to my access point. Or find any of the other networks it can always see. I took my laptop and set up an ad hoc network and it came right up. The wireless access point has not been changed and it is perfectly fine. I've updated the drivers from Ralink, nothing. Uninstalled and rebooted, nothing. Checked the BIOS for any settings, nothing. Made sure the radio was turned on, nothing.

Apr 19, 2012url...My wife was using her Toshiba A215-S5837 and all of a sudden, wireless goes out. No networks to be found. I've tried any number of drivers I could find. I have also tried using the driver as suggested by many places (including the previous thread), found on the CZ site. No luck. I just tried safe mode and updating to no avail. Though Windows 7 is not kind about letting you install a driver initially. I uninstalled, and plug and play took over so I was forced to do it via update.

Dec 5, 2012I just installed windows 7 on a new machine I built myself. I ran the driver cds for the motherboard and GPU.
I have 2 wireless cards I have tried neither will pick up any wireless signals.
One is a Linksys wireless-G pci adapter Model wmp54g the other is a broadcom netlink gigabit adapter also wireless.
I have tried the newest drivers by downloading them but still no luck.
I am currently tethered to my phone.

Oct 15, 2012Just had a new wifi usb adapter delivered today and tried to connect my desktop pc from my room to the bt home hub 2.0 in the kitchen. This is only 13meters max to walk and 10m if going through 2 or 3 walls. I installed the ralink drivers and plugged in the adapter which my computer then installed fine. It will pick up some networks including mine which i managed to connect to but only at a very low rate. Not after very long the connection will disappear and so will all the other houses networks. If i then pull it out and plug it in again they appear again for a short while?
I use my parents packard bell netbook in my room and it works fine. It could well be the case that this adapter was pretty cheap from amazon and you get what you pay for..

Aug 20, 2012I have a Windows 7 based Dell computer and it can connect to the wifi but not the internet. I have 2 android phones and ASUS netbook with Windows 7 Starter that have internet access.I've tried the netsh commands as admin. I did download Xirrus WiFi Inspector but it tells me nothing new. I've tried drivers. I did a system restore to a point prior to updates and it worked fine until I installed the new updates. These are my results from the ipconfig command:

Nov 28, 2012I recently installed a new SSD and a fresh windows install.After reinstalling everything,I connected my LAN cable and had issues that it would constantly connect and disconnect.Even the lights on the back were flashing on and off.If it stayed on long enough it would establish a connection. I am using my motherboard build in lan adapter.I have a Asus P8P67 Pro, which has the Intel� 82579, 1 x Gigabit LAN Controller. I was able to establish a connection perfectly fine through my wlan stick.I went to the Asus website and downloaded their drivers for the Lan Controller. This did not fix anything.I attempted numerous install and deinstall of the drivers. At that point I went directly to the Intel website and downloaded their most recent drivers. After installing the Intel drivers, I was able to keep a connection, but it was very very slow.Through Lan connection i am barely able to open up Google, but every time I attempt a speed test, the connection is too slow. Though when I connect through Wlan,I get the full connection speeds.The router I am using is a Netgear DG834G v4. Also tested various cable just incase that might be the issue. Also,when i use the same cable and connect it to my Laptop, I get the full connection and no issues.

Feb 19, 2011I have the awus 1k awus036h wifi usb adaptor with the crappy stock 2db antenna. I was told by some randomer on a forum that getting a larger antenna doesn't increase the power output of the adaptor. IIRC this is directly against what I've read in the past but I forgot where so am unable to say one way or the other. I remember reading that the larger the antenna the more microwaves it radiates.Plus would it make it a health concern? Currently I have my adaptor in the other room maybe 2-3 metres from me separated by a plaster wall. enna I can if it is deemed safe or as much so as before pretty much since I have been using it for a while w/o probs. I was thinking of getting something in the range of 10db-14 db- maybe even going for an outdoor antenna but keeping it inside so long as it is affordable which they seem to be.

Jun 14, 2011I have the same issue and have been surfing the web for the solution for quite some time. Brand new Sony VAIO laptop with blu-ray has an Intel WiFi bgn 1000 wireless network adapter. It worked fine for couple of days, until i brought it to work. We use wireless connection in our office. Maximum 7 computers are connected at a time. All other 6 laptops connect to our network with no problems (all of them are on win7x64). Now, back to the problem. Wireless works at home and at work in the evening , when no one in the office. I've removed all 3rd party software, uninstalled Intel software. Am using clean driver from the Intel website. Tried different revisions of the driver - issue is still there. I've contacted VAIO support. This is not known issue to them. They offered standard actions (unisntalling the driver, power management options, enabling VAIO Smart Network). No updates of fixes on their support website. I have also checked in the event viewer. There is only one service being enabled and disabled constantly (TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper) - which is happening at the same time with wireless drop. There are about 5-8 drops per minute. Computer browser service disabled. Firewall disabled, antivirus disabled. We assume this could be an interference with mobile diveces. While now, we have disabled all wireless cards on all computers, switched off mobile phones. And... AXAXAXAXA!!! BSOD 0x00000018 (0x000....00, 0xFFFFFA800754A750, 0x00...02, 0xFC01020EFC01020B).

I can't even register my version of Windows because I can't contact Microsoft for verification, because the connection won't get through. No Internet devices can be detected.That was with a long cable wired directly to our router, which is next to our modem.So, today, I bought a D-Link Xtreme N Desktop PCI adapter to connect. Still no connection... I don't think the PC even detects the adapter, because the drivers coming with the adapter can't detect it, and the light on the adapter doesn't turn on.That shouldn't happen. Both the cable and adapter go directly into the motherboard. My operating system is Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit, and my motherboard is an Asus P8Z68-V PRO.My ISP is Cogeco. All other computers and wireless devices in the house work perfectly fine.

I brought it home, made the default brower Google Chrome and connected it to the home internet and entered in the security key/password, so it's all connected. IN the living room, the connection is really good. All the other laptops there -even my really bad old one can connect fine to the internet. My new one says it's connected, but no internet. But since the other ones get internet, I don't think I need to restart the router -although I did so anyways and it didn't work
