I am having a HP Laptop with Windows Vista 64 bit OS. Since today I am having problem with my wireless network adapter card. It is remaining disabled and not getting enabled. I uninstalled the driver as well as disable the card but it is not working. The problem is Quick launch button on HP laptop for wireless card is showing as enabled but my network center shows it as disabled.
I have a desktop pc and my connection to the internet is via a router. I cannot get my nic card to work but only after a reboot! When it first boots up, the card isn't even shown on the device manager. After a reboot, everything works great. Already tried another nic card but it cannot get an ip address and the connection shows a yellow exclamation mark with "no or limited connectivity!"
Driver software is from 2009 and it says there are no updates found,. RALINK TECH. CORP is the manufacturer and microsoft is the driver supplier, although neither website has anything for my piece of equipment (i have installed updates from both of them and my driver software is the same as before). How do I find updates for these drivers? When I search online all I get is driver update programs that cost money to use.
My wireless card on my gateway laptop isn't working anymore.I have already tried uninstalling and all of that. I am just going to replace it. I currently have a Intel 3945ABG network card. Is there another network card I can replace it with that is more efficient and quicker? Not sure what other information is needed to figure out what network cards are compatible.
My girlfriend's computer has quite suddenly developed the problem that the wireless card simply will not turn on.She has an Asus Notebook G60 Vx Series, which has a switch on the front as well as Fn+F2 for turning wireless on/off. Yesterday, she noticed it wasn't working even though the switch was "on", but was able to use Fn+F2 to enable it. Today, neither will work. It simply won't turn on.Ethernet works fine when connected directly to the router. Device manager detects "Intel(R) WiFi Link 5100 AGN" as working correctly and drivers as up-to-date.I feel like this must be a software/driver problem, but everything seems to be checking out. [code]
Now my problem started happening after my desktop computer got unplugged. When I booted back up, I was unable to connect to my access point. Or find any of the other networks it can always see. I took my laptop and set up an ad hoc network and it came right up. The wireless access point has not been changed and it is perfectly fine. I've updated the drivers from Ralink, nothing. Uninstalled and rebooted, nothing. Checked the BIOS for any settings, nothing. Made sure the radio was turned on, nothing.
I purchased a computer with a pre-installed wireless card which was stated to be b/g/n compatible. When I go to setup a connection to the wireless network (through a Netgear WGR614 v8 router), it has no problem detecting it with a full five bars. However, when it prompts me to enter the password I do, but immediately afterwords another password box appears prompting me to reenter the password again. After repeatedly doing so, it will eventually say the password is incorrect. I know the it is correct because I've since purchased a Netgear USB adapter for temporary purposes and it connects using the password. I've even accessed the router to ensure the password I was using was correct and it is.
I have one desktop system and one laptop. In desktop i have Internet Broadband. Now i have installed wifi PCi card into Desktop to share internet to my laptop. But there seems some problem i am not able to share internet.
I've noticed that the light on my laptop's Ethernet jack can be one of three colors depending on where it's connected. It's normally green, however in my dorm room it's red-orange, and at a local library it's amber.
In my computer. My network places properties did not see lan card. But the device manager lan card driver is enable but it did not appear in the my network place how it enable .
I built a computer a while ago, from a reasonably low budget. Ever since the very first boot up, the wireless card (TP-Link, unable to find model currently, will add later) only works on the second consecutive boot up. I have no idea why, I have not found anything relating to a problem like this, the computer doesn't even appear to know that there is a wireless card in it. Instead the icon shows a cable, suggesting that the computer isn't connecting with the card.
Ive been using a d link network card for one of my desktops. It was working perfectly. But since my computer was starting to slow down I decided to format the harddrive and re install windows xp. Now the Network Card is not being recognized on the pc. Any idea how to make it work? I don't know where the Cd is and what model it is...
I have a pci wireless card that I have been using with the same router for some time. All of a sudden in the last couple of weeks it suddenly developed some habbit of dropping the signal from the router on random intervals. During the times that it does it, it will do it over and over again for hours sometimes. It will connect, then drop off less than a minute later, then reconnect again. It will just suddenly say "No Connections available",when normally there are at least 3 connections displayed in the list(2 neighbors and 1 mine).
I am using Windows 7 64 bit and I just now did a fresh reformat on the hard drive an hour or so ago to try and rule out the option of conflicting software/drivers/malware and so on. The problem seems to be persisting still.I have the latest drivers that I can find for my card and updated firmware on the router(same exact setup I have always used).
I walked in to the room and my 1 year old daughter was carrying my laptop. I turned it on and now I no longer have the option to connect to wireless networks. It's like the computer doesn't recognize a wireless card. I have an old dell with windows xp. At first thought I figured that she may had dropped it and dislodged the card, so I took the cover of the slot off and everything seems to be in place. The wireless card is a broadcom.
I am running Windows 7 on a system with an Asus P5ND Mobo and am trying to install a Tenda W322P wireless card. The led on the card doesn't light up indicating no power is making it to the card. I have tried installing the drivers off the cd but it says it won't as it cannot detect the card and I installed the drivers from their website but Windows still won't detect it. I have tried turning PCIpnp both on and off at the mobo but nothing seems to make a difference. Have they just sent me a duff card or could it be my mobo or something else?
Lenovo X200 running Windows 7. Intel 5100 AGN wireless card. Connection has worked fine for more than a year, but lately disconnects frequently and won't engage again without rebooting. Card not identified by system after connection drops.
Just upgraded to Win 7 Prof 64-bit and now my wireless card does not work. ive tried installing the drivers for it but it keeps saying its not compatible even though it is.
I recently performed a windows 7 update and when I opened my computer the next morning, the wifi wouldn't work. All the other computers in the house work, but this one. The switch is turned on, have checked device manager and NOTHING is listed there. The green light won't even come on when the switch is activated. I am not computer literate, but have resorted to everything except cleaning the system and rebooting. I am currently using a usb wifi adapter?
I Have a HP dc5000MT desktop. I run an ethernet cable from its network card {Broad NetXtreme Gigabit} to a Westell 327W router{this has worked for the last four years}. My laptop connects to the internet through this router using wireless and for test purposes through the ethernet port. I installed a new network card {Dynex DX-E102 PCI NetworkAdaptor}in the desktop. When i'm enabling either the old or new card through Control Panel, Network Connections, i get the message "acquirin network address,Firewalled".and it never enables. I ran Malwarebytes and no infections were found. I use AVG anti-virus and Internet Explorer.
I have the Mts Mbrowse ZTE AC 8720 data card. it has problem in installing in windows 8 but it works properly in window 7. It has an error fail to install access serial port 0. i didn't understand the error.

My dad recently purchased a wireless LAN card to connect to our router for ADSL internet. The card is labelled on the box as a Mecer WF-2113M 300Mbps Wireless-N PCI-E Adapter. Link: WF-2113 Mecer 802.11b/g/n Internal Wireless PCI-e Card - Mecer
First off I could not get the card to work with the original drivers that came with the card so I updated the drivers. (The card's chipset is a Realtek RTL8192CE). After the driver update the card worked perfected until the BSOD's started completely at random. see attached image with description of BSOD.
PC's Specs: Asus P8H61M LX Motherboard Intel Core I3-2100 CPU @ 3,10ghz 2x2gb DDR3-1333 Ram Gigabyte ODIN 460w PSU Nvidia Geforce 9500Gt GPU Windows 7 Ultimate x64
The PC was running perfectly before we installed the card. Is there anything that I can do to solve the issue? Unfortunately I cannot test the card in my PC or my brother's as we both don't have PCI-E x1 slots. Also not sure the PC shop will take the card back.
Have just acquired new used HP desktop running Windows Vista. System has a Broadcom NeXtreme Gigabit Ethernet card installed, which gets me to the internet OK when using a LAN cable from wireless router. But I can't make wireless connection. Vista tells me that I need a wireless network adapter.Am I missing something? Is it possible to change some settings to get the Broadcom card to go wireless? If not, what sort of adapter is needed, and is such adapter external or will it have to be installed in the system box?
Recently my wirless internet stopped working. I am running a HP dv 9000 laptop. The indicator light always stays amber (instead of turning blue when turned on) on external wirless switch. The wireless adaptor should be a Broadcom 802.11b. This does not show up in device manager, but my computer says the driver for it is installed. In the device manager there is one device with a yellow question mark beside it called "other device". Under this device there are three more devices called "base system device" with a yellow exclamation point next to them
I'm running 3 WLC 5508, 2 of them running image AIR-CT5500-K9-7-0-116-0.aes, one AIR-CT5500-LDPE-K9-7-0-116-0.aes.
On the 5508 running the LDPE-image, I have 9 WLANs (170,171,180,181,190,191,281,282,283), all defined with admin status "ENABLED". WLANs 180,181,281 belong to a defined AP-group, WLAN 190,191,282 belong to a different AP-group.
WLANs 180,181,190,191 are defined as H-REAP. The H-REAP APs registers without any problems at the backup WLC and switches back successfully to the primary controller after recovering from reboot. Unfortunately the WLANs 180,181,190,191 show status "DISABLED" every time the primary controller comes back and I have to enable them manually.
Doing exactly the same procedure with one of the other WLC, running AIR-CT5500-K9-7-0-116-0, I never face this problem.
