View 19 Replies View RelatedI Have a HP dc5000MT desktop. I run an ethernet cable from its network card {Broad NetXtreme Gigabit} to a Westell 327W router{this has worked for the last four years}. My laptop connects to the internet through this router using wireless and for test purposes through the ethernet port. I installed a new network card {Dynex DX-E102 PCI NetworkAdaptor}in the desktop. When i'm enabling either the old or new card through Control Panel, Network Connections, i get the message "acquirin network address,Firewalled".and it never enables. I ran Malwarebytes and no infections were found. I use AVG anti-virus and Internet Explorer.

Ever since the very first boot up, the wireless card (TP-Link, unable to find model currently, will add later) only works on the second consecutive boot up. I have no idea why, I have not found anything relating to a problem like this, the computer doesn't even appear to know that there is a wireless card in it. Instead the icon shows a cable, suggesting that the computer isn't connecting with the card.
View 5 Replies View RelatedA few days ago, I noticed that my computer wasn't picking up my wired connection anymore while the wireless connection was still working fine. I opened up my network adapters and my Local Area Connection adapter wasn't even showing anymore, only the Wireless adapter. I updated my drivers, tried different cables and even a different router but still no dice. This morning, when I booted up my system, Windows said it was installing driver software for Broadcom Gigabit Ethernet Controller. I got really excited when I saw Local Area Connection in my adapter menu and plugged in my ethernet cable. Nothing happened and my laptop refuses to recognize the ethernet cable plugged in to it. It's a Dell XPS 1640, Windows 7 x64 with Service Pack 1.
P.S. Usually a little orange light appears in the ethernet port on my computer when a chord is plugged in. When I turned on my computer this morning with the chord in, the light was on. When Windows finished booting, the light went off.
I have recently re-installed Windows XP on Dell Inspiron 2200 and notice that I no longer have the icon to view or repair wireless connections. I have installed drivers R91081.EXE (8MB), R92088.EXE (1MB) and INFEENUA.cab (195KB) from Dell web site – Drivers download page but can’t see to be able to bring up the icon.
Which driver(s) I need to download?

I uninstalled the driver as well as disable the card but it is not working. The problem is Quick launch button on HP laptop for wireless card is showing as enabled but my network center shows it as disabled.

When it first boots up, the card isn't even shown on the device manager. After a reboot, everything works great. Already tried another nic card but it cannot get an ip address and the connection shows a yellow exclamation mark with "no or limited connectivity!"

They have one Belkin Wireless G Notebook Network Card (#F5D7010), but when I put it in, it says I have to download the drivers for it, and can't find the drivers. I tried downloading the Belkin Driver, but it still says another driver is missing. "Dell Wireless WLAN Card Wireless Network Controller stopped working and was closed.a problem caused the application to stop working correctly. Windows will notify you if a solution is available."
Then I get this following message:"Solution Found: Address a problem with your WLAN card.Your WLAN card has stopped working properly. This is a network adapter that allows your computer to connect to a wireless network. To find out if an updated version of your WLAN card is available, contact your device or computer manufacturer."The strange thing is even though I get this message I am still able to connect to the internet via a wireless network. So there is no problem as such it is just annoying to keep getting this message when Windows starts up.I have checked on the DELL Support website and I do have the most up-to-date driver already (Or I think I do).

i have a Dell inspiron 1520, the ethernet port has stopped working- no lights when cable connected. this was fine and then just stopped, it is used to connect to hub from time to time when wifi goes down. have tried 3 different cables, no joy, these all work in another laptop. No issues shown in control panel/ hardware. Have downloaded driver from Dell site, still nothing.

I have 2 wireless cards I have tried neither will pick up any wireless signals.
One is a Linksys wireless-G pci adapter Model wmp54g the other is a broadcom netlink gigabit adapter also wireless.
I have tried the newest drivers by downloading them but still no luck.
I am currently tethered to my phone.
I downloaded an update for the 1370 wireless card from the microsoft site and now my wireless network doesn't work. I went to the dell site and got the driver directly from the dell site (R140747.EXE) and it fails after it reached 59% complete. I tried another download recommended from this forum (R151519.EXE) and the same error at 59%. I have tried everything I have seen in the forums (closing virus software, editting setup ini file, etc) and I still get Update 778 error at 59%. I am running on an Inspirion 6000, CARD (CIRCUIT), IRELESS, MINI PCI CARD, 1370, BROADCOM CORPORATION, Dlink wireless router, windows xp with sp2, USA. I have also received an error that says something about internal setting incompatible (unfortunately I didn't capture the exact wording - I will attempt to recreate the error) This is terribly frustrating considering I was only following the dell suggestion that I update the driver and now that I attempted it, my laptop is sitting not being used.

Recently my wirless internet stopped working. I am running a HP dv 9000 laptop. The indicator light always stays amber (instead of turning blue when turned on) on external wirless switch. The wireless adaptor should be a Broadcom 802.11b. This does not show up in device manager, but my computer says the driver for it is installed. In the device manager there is one device with a yellow question mark beside it called "other device". First off I could not get the card to work with the original drivers that came with the card so I updated the drivers. (The card's chipset is a Realtek RTL8192CE). After the driver update the card worked perfected until the BSOD's started completely at random. see attached image with description of BSOD.

The PC was running perfectly before we installed the card. Is there anything that I can do to solve the issue? Unfortunately I cannot test the card in my PC or my brother's as we both don't have PCI-E x1 slots. Also not sure the PC shop will take the card back.
I haven't installed anything new lately, nothing that would affect the wireless, but my wireless suddenly stopped working. My wireless has been working successfully for the past 2 years no problems till now. I have a Dell Latitude E6410 my computer is running Windows 7 32bit. When I open up the DW WLAN Card Utility it says "There are currently no wireless adapters available and enabled. Please enable any available wireless adapters before accessing this configuration utility. I tried reinstalling drivers for the wireless but my computer says "no compatible hardware found".
Also the under the wireless adapters section of Device Manager there isn't an adapter for wireless, but there is an unknown device.

These pop up every 30 seconds or so and seem to be related to the Dell TrueMobile 1300 update.Looking in the Windows directory there is no uninstall directory for this update unlike the MS updates. So I now either need to:get the updates to work properly Remove the updates and get back to a working condition if you wonder why I applied the updates...why repair something that's already working...I have had Bluetooth sporadic connection issues with this laptop with a BT GPS unit. The same BT GPS unit works perfectly on a D610 but on this D600 after initial connection there can be repeated connection loss requring the BT GPS unit to be moved around, after which BT connection is re-established only to fail a while later. As the same GPS works without problem with the D610 my presumption has been the issue is a BT stack issue on the D600 BT implementation.

It may be a coincidence but my Broadcom Network Adapter 802.11g stopped working after trying to fix 'unknown device' in Device Manager (It was working perfectly before this).OS: Windows 7 Starter on 'BenQ Joybook Lite U105'.I tried the Windows Network trouble shooter and it didn't work (saying there may be a problem with the driver. I uninstalled the driver and re-installed it (including a possibly newer one) and it didn't work. Within 'Network Connections" the Broadcom wireless adapter is shown as 'disabled' I R-clicked to enable it, a window popped up saying it was enabled but it still showed as being disabled. My feeling is that something is preventing it from being enabled, logically, I would guess. Also went to 'Component Services' and ether started or restarted everything with the word network on it still no luck..My Google search on an other pc , now on day 3, couldn't find anything. (BTW the 'unknown device' which according to the icon, seems to be the joybook itself, is still not fixed and still listed as 'unknown device').
