AM working on a dell latitude laptop. It has been connecting to the internet but over a sadden has stopped and in the network adapters it shows ethernet?
Just got switched to high speed from dial up and lost the driver for the ethernet controller. I've been looking everywhere on the dell site but cannot located the one I need..
i have a Dell Latitude E6400. Just reinstalled Vista Ultimate. But it say, "Update Driver Software-Ethernet Controller and Update Driver Software-Network Controller. What I need to install from Dell website?
Have done fresh install of xp but no driver disk have done all chipset etc in order and all windows updates but wifi card just shows as ethernet controller its an azurewave on the sticker on the card and device manager id is
I just bought a brand new Inspiron 15R SE 7520. After a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate (service pack 1) I've visited the Dell Product Support section, entered in my service tag and downloaded all the recommended drivers & applications. Everything works fine on the laptop right now except for one major issue: I can't connect to the internet. The wireless switch is ON, but there's no sign of any wireless networks in the Network and Sharing center or in the system tray icon next to the clock. This is what I see in the device manager:When I double click the Network controller the device status reads:The drivers for this device are not installed. (code 28),I checked this thread which seemed to have a very similar problem to mine, and I updated the bios to Inspiron_7520_A07_BIOS.Next I installed this driver [URL]. After unpacking the latter file (WiFi_Intel_W74_A01_Setup-G6Y8G_ZPE.exe) and running setup.exe I got his error message.
I am having a problem with my network controller after upgrading to XP Professional. The Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller driver (I've tried both the download and CD) works fine for the Card itself, but it doesn't work for the Network Controller. When I first restart after running the installation program included with the driver, XP tells me that a new Network Controller device has been found. As I go through the driver installation for that device it fails, and I receive a message telling me that the Hardware Update Wizard "Cannot Install this Hardware...The hardware was not installed because the wizard cannot find the necessary software." The device then appears in the Device Manager under the Other Devices section with a yellow question mark and exclamation point indicating trouble.
I recently sent in my Inspiron M5040 laptop in to get repaired because it got severely water damaged and when i got it back i culdnt connect to the internet wirelessly so i tried pluggin in my ethernet cable an that wouldnt work either so i played around with my computer a little bit and saw that my ethernet and network controller drivers weren properly installed. How do i get those two drivers with no internet connect? Is there any way i can get a disk mailed to me with all of the up to date drivers i ned or do i need to ship my laptop back in to dell?
I have a Dell Inspiron N5030 laptop that I just installed a new hard drive in. Prior to the new install had no issues with wireless connectivity, now I have none. I have researched this issue for the past three days without success.
I also installed a new wireless card which still did not solve my problem. As I said, this is a Dell Inspiron N5030. Operating system is Windows 7 32-bit The network adapter is an Atheros AR8152 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller. In the Device Manager the Network Controller is listed under "Other Devices" The new wireless card installed is listed as a DNXA-95-D1. That is really the only information I can give you about this card.
Side note: I can get on the internet if I hard wire in, just can't access internet wirelessly.
I can't find the driver for the Network Controller on a Inspiron 1150, I just did a clean installation of WinXP, I used the Dell CD-ROM that came with the piece... I searched every CD that came with the darn thing and I still cant find the driver I need... In the device manager the " Network Controller ", has a question mark by it meaning it doesnt have the driver installed
I have a Inspiron n5110 laptop and recently re-installed Windows 7.After using the "Driver & Utilities" disc to update the drivers. I haven't been able to connect to the internet
I was able to retrieve my system information and got the following;
Network Card(s): 3 NIC(s) Installed. [01]: Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network) Connection Name: Bluetooth Network Connection Status: Media disconnected [02]: Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller Connection Name: Local Area Connection Status: Media disconnected
After change my OS to Windows 7 Pro Enterprise my Dell E5430 missing the network controller driver. let me know the right driver to download and install.
I recently reinstalled windows 7 on my dad laptop after he <ADMIN NOTE: Profanity removed as per TOU> it up beyond repair. After installing the appropriate drivers I still had no detection on my w lan adapter so I checked out the device list, and it says I'm missing drivers for two things: one is the network controller, the other is just listed as an unknown device.
I already installed every driver for the appropriate devices on the laptop, in the correct order, or as i could best manage it, but still no dice. The only network driver on the disk for my inspiron is one for an Ethernet controller.
I recently got a Dell Latitude D600. I know, it's outdated. I'm running Windows XP SP3.
My problem is that after installing all of the drivers for the Broadcom 570x Gigabit Intergrated Controller, I can't get the wireless to pop up in the bottom right hand corner. I can only connect with an Ethernet cable directly from my router. I have tried many things, even support packages, but I can't seem to get it to work. I've also tried Fn+F2. Also, in the Device Manager I see a "Network Controller" but it has a question mark that is yellow beside it, and I can't seem to install it.
I was using Windows 7 on this Dell latitude E5400 from past 2yrs i guess! n now i installed windows 8! It works just fine! but i cant use bluetooth here! i really need the bluetooth drivers for Dell latitude E5400!
When I try to install the first one I got the failure message "BASS_REL_5_6 456".I am able to install the second one, but I still got the message, that the WIFI-/LAN-Hardware is uninstalled. Therefore I still can't access to the internet with this computer.
Latitude D400 Win XP sp3. My wireless mini-pci card seems to have died. To replace the original card I bought a Broadcom BCM94318 (model WL5011s (TECOM) ) that was listed as compatible in a D400. No drivers just the hardware. My machine recognizes that the card is physically there but I do not have a drivers for it. Where can I get a driver that works?
I had to install Windows Vista on Latitude E6410, than I followed order installation from here ftp://ftp.dell.com/Manuals/Common/latitude-e6230_Reference%20Guide_en-us.pdf. And I am still not able to install Dell Wireless WLAN 1397/1501/1520 Half MiniCard Driver - in the download section it is only update package? My notebook does not offer me WLAN connection only cable...
I have a recently rebuilt D600 running XP Prof XP3 full patched. The machine was a clean build on a new disk about 2 months ago and all has been working well (excepting the Fujitsu HDD which seems to be going bad as I type, but that's a different issue!).i was offer via Microsoft Update: "Dell driver update for Dell TrueMobile 1300 WLAN Mini-PCI Card" 2 days ago (mid August 2009). This is a Dell supplied update distributed via MS. Also offered (and installed) at the same time was "Darfon - Other Hardware - Bluetooth Devices". Since installing these (and the installs reporting as completing correctly) I keep getting:Dell Wireless WLAN Card Wireless Network Controller encountered a problem and needed to close.and Dell Wireless WLAN Card Wireless Network Controller has encountered a problem and needs to close.rror dialogues. These pop up every 30 seconds or so and seem to be related to the Dell TrueMobile 1300 update.Looking in the Windows directory there is no uninstall directory for this update unlike the MS updates. So I now either need to:get the updates to work properly Remove the updates and get back to a working condition if you wonder why I applied the updates...why repair something that's already working...I have had Bluetooth sporadic connection issues with this laptop with a BT GPS unit. The same BT GPS unit works perfectly on a D610 but on this D600 after initial connection there can be repeated connection loss requring the BT GPS unit to be moved around, after which BT connection is re-established only to fail a while later. As the same GPS works without problem with the D610 my presumption has been the issue is a BT stack issue on the D600 BT implementation.
I have a DELL Latitude 630 running Windows Vista. I checked into a hotel and just cannot find the wifi network on this laptop..IT is a named network and yet all i see is an unnamed network on my list of networks found. My blackberry device can easily locate the network..but the laptop simply refuses. I have tried restarting, playing around with the advanced propoerties of the wifi adapter but all in vain. I can use the office wifi ont he same laptop without any issue..but not in my hotel.
