View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm searching for a driver for the PCI Simple Communications Controller for an Dell Optiplex GX110 that is running Windows XP Home edition.
I have installed a Dynex data/fax/voice modem that supports Windows XP, but the system does not recognize it because of the drivers needed for the PCI controller.
After installing Win7 Ultimate 32Bit on my inspiron n5010 i installed all drivers and components are working properly but one of the devices have problem because i cant find any drivers for it. that device is " PCI Simple Communications Controllers" and it marked in Device manager with yellow symbol and the Update Driver button in Device manager does not work for this.

I can't turn on the Wifi switch (Fn + F2) and then I realized its possible it doesn't have a driver so I downloaded the Broadcom 570x Gigabit Integrated Controller so far and its still not working. Here is the what is on my device manager.

I have a Dell Latitude D610 and my problem is that the wifi light won't come on. I've done the Fn+F2 thing and all that is enabled is bluetooth. I've gone to dell's site and updated drivers and done basically everything I've seen others do on forums. What's interesting is that once in awhile, my wifi light comes on and my wifi will work for maybe 30 seconds and then it disappears. When i go to device manager, my broadcom 802.11g adapter sometimes shows up but usually it isn't there. So it's not there with a yellow exclamation mark over it; when it is on there it's fine but it's hardly there ever. I've even removed the wireless card and reconnected it to see if it'd work but no luck.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy sister has a DELL Latitude D610. The network drivers in Device Manager has an exclamation mark and this only started when she turned off the laptop with her external hard drive.
Here are the things that I tried. Getting the appropriate drivers System Restore Restarting the Network service Uninstalling and reinstalling the 1350 WLAN Card driver
I bought a refurb D610 and installed Win XP several times (after I found out that the order of drivers install matters). Last install I followed the order for driver installation.
My ethernet connection (Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx Gigabit Controller) is working fine, although I'm writing this from a separate PC.
Under Network adapters in the device manager, there is only the above mentioned ethernet device, NO wireless device. That's wrong, or not?
Under Other devices (with yellow question & exclamation mark) are two devices:
1) PCI Simple Communications Controller (Device Inst. ID = VEN_104 / DEV_8038 / SUBSYS_01821028) --- ???
2) Unknown device (Device Inst. ID = ACPI BCM0101 4 15F2F7D1 & 0 ) --- TPM (?)
With Sysinternals Process Explorer I can see the following (wireless related) processes in the Windows/system32 directory: (which are started automatically)
1) WLTRYSVC.EXE
2) BCMWLTRY.EXE (WLAN Card Wireless Network Controller)
3) WLTRAY.EXE (WLAN Card Wireless Network Tray Applet)
However I don't see any wireless related icon in the system tray. When starting the "Dell Wireless WLAN Card Utility" from the Start Menu, nothing happens.
PS: this is the laptop that I was using for several years for our company (still with Windows 2000) until a couple months ago, and then bought it back (for private use) from another company that refurbs them (HD wipes) for our company. Under W2K the wireless worked perfectly! I didn't get any software with it, but downloaded all drivers from the dell site.
I have a Dell Latitude D610 laptop with windows xp pro sp3. I need to do the windows reinstallation I know you loose most of the drivers when you use the reinstall cd one of them being the wireless driver. I was wondering the directory where that driver is installed so I can copy it to my usb memory card so that when I reinstall windows I can have my wireless and get online so I can download the rest of the drivers I need.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a E6410, install sim card, load and start Mobile Broadband Manager and it say me an error "Mobile Broadband Device not found"
I already download and install Wirless Mobile Broadband Drivers, both of them (5620 and 5540 mini card) i realy dont understand how to determine which of them installed in my laptop.
I have a recently rebuilt D600 running XP Prof XP3 full patched. The machine was a clean build on a new disk about 2 months ago and all has been working well (excepting the Fujitsu HDD which seems to be going bad as I type, but that's a different issue!).i was offer via Microsoft Update: "Dell driver update for Dell TrueMobile 1300 WLAN Mini-PCI Card" 2 days ago (mid August 2009). This is a Dell supplied update distributed via MS. Also offered (and installed) at the same time was "Darfon - Other Hardware - Bluetooth Devices". Since installing these (and the installs reporting as completing correctly) I keep getting:Dell Wireless WLAN Card Wireless Network Controller encountered a problem and needed to close.and Dell Wireless WLAN Card Wireless Network Controller has encountered a problem and needs to close.rror dialogues. These pop up every 30 seconds or so and seem to be related to the Dell TrueMobile 1300 update.Looking in the Windows directory there is no uninstall directory for this update unlike the MS updates. So I now either need to:get the updates to work properly Remove the updates and get back to a working condition if you wonder why I applied the updates...why repair something that's already working...I have had Bluetooth sporadic connection issues with this laptop with a BT GPS unit. The same BT GPS unit works perfectly on a D610 but on this D600 after initial connection there can be repeated connection loss requring the BT GPS unit to be moved around, after which BT connection is re-established only to fail a while later. As the same GPS works without problem with the D610 my presumption has been the issue is a BT stack issue on the D600 BT implementation.
