Cisco Routers :: IPSec Site-to-site Tunnel Between 2 X RV110W Routers
May 19, 2013
the RV110W IPSEC site-to-site tunnel, are there necessary 2 x public IPs for it to work, or only 1 public IP is enough? [code]If it works with 1 public ip, the "CLIENT" RV110W configuration should be straightforward (in Advanced VPN SetupRemote Endpoint i fill in the dyndns address?), but how do i setup "HOST" RV110W?

Is it possible to have a site-to-site IPSEC tunnel between 2 identical RV110W routers?I basically want one of them to initiate a secure tunnel with the second so that computers from one router subnet see the computers from the other router subnet.

I have a central site witha n RV016, a remote site with an RV110W. To keep everything simple for now I have static IPs at both ends, my LANs IPs are different to avoid conflicts.
I have set up the basic configuration site to site. I can ping the main router from the remote site. I have tried multiple attempts and can not get them to connect to each other. I have all of the encryption settings matched on both ends. I have the passkey same on both ends. The main site VPN logs show nothing.
The remote site debug logs do show connection activity but then an error:
pluto[5781]: "VPN1" #35: ERROR: asynchronous network error report on vlan2 (sport=500) for message to x.x.x.x port 500, complainant x.x.x.x : Connection refused [errno 146, origin ICMP type 3 code 3 (ot authenticated)] I did add Port 500 IPSec to my firewall on the main site to allow connections. Also enabled to allow WAN requests. Still same result.

I bought RV110W Small Business Router yesterday but I cannot find manual and any support sources neither on supplied CD nor on Cisco web page - where can I find these sources? This devices does not have any product page on the web!
Warning: RV110W does not support site-to-site VPN. RV110W is probably the only one RV Cisco Small Business Router, which does not support even one Site-to-Site VPN tunnel. Router supports client-to-server IPsec (only by QuickVPN software!) and PPTP VPN, full IP6 support for LAN and WAN and fairly usefull firewall and admin tools similar to RV120W.

I've got two sites both using RV110w routers over a BT line. They're successfully connecting over the site2site VPN using the Cisco control panels IP sec etc. However the connections drop after a day or so and do not re-establish themselves whenever a connection is attempted from a PC on either Lan over the WAN (ie. devices on one lan are xxx.xxx.2.x to xxx.xxx.3.x on the other site). If I enter the advanced VPN page on the router control panel/config and prompt to attempt to re-establish the connection it fails, the error log states that the connection fails due to "no connection has been authorized with policy=PSK 8". If I make no changes to any settings, but save the page and then try to re-establish the connection this works and continues to work for a day or so. This is happening consistently over a two week period. All settings on both routers for IP sec etc are identical, that fact that it will connect confirms that the policies etc must be aligned at some point.
Is it a router setting that I've missed), is it to do with BT, or the automatic adjustment of time on the LANS.

I have a site to site VPN tunnel configured between a rv220w and rv180. Everything works fine going from site to site on LAN connections. I'm now trying to tie in the remote site wireless (rv220w side) by pointing radius to my ACS server which is on the other side of the site-to-site tunnel but it seems as though it doesnt route across the site to site tunnel. If i put a radius server on the local lan on the remote site that authentication works fine. I have confirmed there are no ACL problems. the RV220W capable of using a radius server across the vpn tunnel?

How can I NAT the same set of four hosts and give them access to two different networks across an IPSEC site-to-site VPN tunnel? I'm using an ASA5520 running 8.04.
I have four hosts say: 10.240.1.1-10.240.1.4
They need access to two different networks:
205.100.150.0
140.175.200.0
I woud like to NAT them as something like:
7.5.210.1
7.5.210.2

We have configured a site to site tunnel from our ASA to another organizations Cisco 3030. It appears to have just one way initiation. We can do a ping to a device on the remote site and it will ping just fine. however, when the tunnel needs to be initiated from the remote site, it will not work until we have initiated the tunnel and then everything works.
I continue to see Error processing payload: Payload ID: 1 errors on the ASDM logs.It appears that all the configuration is in place because we can in fact establish the IPSec tunnel unidirectional. And once established, traffic can flow bidirectional.

I have weird problem with a Site to site VPN tunnel from a Cisco ASA 5505 to an Clavister Firewall. When I restart the Cisco ASA 5505 the tunnel is up and down,up, down, down, and I get all strange messages when I see if the tunnel is up or down with the syntax: [code]
After a while like 5-10 min the vpn site to site tunnel is up and here is the strange thing happening I have all accesslists and tunnel accesslists right I can only access one remote network (Main site Clavister Firewall) trought the vpn tunnel behind the Cisco ASA 5505, and I have 5 more remote networks that I want to access but only one remote network is working trought the vpn tunnel behind the Cisco ASA. I see that when I do this syntax in ASA: show crypto ipsec sa.They had a Clavister Firewall before on that site before and now they have a Cisco ASA 5505 and all the rules on the main site thats have the big Clavister Firewall is intact so the problems are in the Cisco ASA 5505. [code]
All these remote networks are at the Main Site Clavister Firewall.

I have a situation where the site-to-site tunnel is already established using PPTP IPSec VPN with non Cisco Gateways terminating the link on each end. These non Cisco Gateways do not support L2TP tunneling, and there is no plan to change them.Beyond the Gateways on both ends, we have a Cisco 4500 series switch. We need to forward the 802.1q tagged VLANs between the two sites. Is it possible to use 802.1Q tunneling in this case, going via a PPTP tunnel ?
Cisco's setup uses dot1q-tunnel over a L2protocol-tunnel to preserve the original client VLAN tagging, so does this mean that the only option we have is to setup a L2TP tunnel at the Cisco device endpoints, and have that tunnel go through the existing PPTP tunnel (established between the 2 non Cisco VPN Gateways) ?

The administrator guide site to site instructions don't match the options on the router. The first step tells you to click on VPN then Basic VPN Setup. The router under the VPN option only has three choices, (1) VPN Clients, (2) Certificate Management and (3) VPN Passthrough. I have upgraded to the latest firmware 1.0.0.9.

We recently purchased an SRP527W router because of its capability to configure site-site VPN tunnels. The configuration of IKE and IPSEC is working and the tunnel comes up but the problem is that the router is passing our internal IP addresses through the tunnel. The remote end we are connecting to requires us to hide all traffic behind one IP address which would ideally be our external static IP address from our ISP.

I have an ASA5505 running which is on a static IP. I have just got an SRP527W for a remote worker and want to create a site-to-site VPN into the ASA. I have a number of other router of non-cisco brand which just all dial-in and connect no problem.
On other routers I have been abloe to specify the DDNS hostname in the VPN setup so that the ASA can identify it. I'm not sure how I setup the SRP527 to connect to the ASA.
