Several users on my network have been utilizing the Cisco Anyconnect client. Recently, an update came out and automatically tried to install. The installation failed, and now the old version is uninstalled and we can't install it again. When we try to install the client, the log below is what we get. What I can do to get it to stop (short of reimaging all 8 machines experiencing this problem)?
View 1 RepliesI am using AnyConnect VPN 2.5.3054 on two different computers (Windows 7 and XP SP3) with Kaspersky Internet Security 2012. Upon successful connection, the client disconnects and goes into a continous loop of reconnection to no avail, a message at the bottom appears: "A VPN reconnect resulted in different configuration setting. The VPN network setting is being re-initialized. Applications utilizing the private network may need to be restarted."At times I also see after this loop of attempts to reconnect: "The VPN client agent SSL engine encountered an error. Please retry, or restart AnyConnect."Note: I added the VPN applications to the trusted zone of KIS 2012, unchecked the SSL and HTTPS 433 ports and added exceptions for the applications, again without use. I tried uninstalling and installing after disabling KIS but the problem persists.

Below are my basic required configuration. I have tried with few other ASA the same configuration but it worked fine. I'm trying to install the anyconnect package on an ASA 5510 running version 9.0.1. I'm getting the following error:
labfwpix(config-webvpn)#anyconnect image disk0:/anyconnect-win-3.1.01065-k9.pkg
copying 'disk0:/anyconnect-win-3.1.01065-k9.pkg' to a temporary ramfs file failed
Is there something that I'm doing wrong when installing the package?Also, is there away to manually install the client on a stand alone PC without a deploying method, similar to the IPSEC client software?
Just installed an ASA 5505 with AnyConnect Essentials. AnyConnect installation works fine on some windows boxes (All flavors) but have a couple machines with issues. This makes it clearly a computer side issue. When I try to log into the ASA to download the client with IE 9 the ASA just keeps asking for my logon credentials. If I I use Firefox my credentials work and I get as far as the "Using Sun java for installation" with instructions to click yes on the java security warning. The Java Security warning never arrives like on machines that don't have this problem. Firefox just hangs and has to be killed by task maanger. Remove and reinstall of both Java and Firefox fail to correct the problem. Any AnyConnect clientside recovery tips beyond Java and Browser reinstall?
A Google search show a few folks using Ubuntu and old PPC Macs seeing the same java error I get on these couple of windows boxen. [code]
I have an ASA (8.4.5) configured with a connection profile that does AAA and Certificate authentication. Once I have the anyconnect 3.1 on a win Xp system, it works perfectly. When I do a web install, it goes through the normal download, log-in, re-download then says "Certificate Authentication Failure" If I change the profile to AAA only, it installs fine. I even get the error if I launch from the web after I have the client on the PC. Why this is not working?
View 3 Replies View RelatedWe just upgraded our AnyConnect clients to the lastest 3.1 and some XP users were having issues. One PC was able to upgrade to SP3 and it resolved the issue. However, we still have several PC's on XP SP3 and are able to install the client manually, but when you go to connect, it sits at Posture Assessment: Initiating... and eventually gives you "Cisco Scaner has encountered a problem and needs to close". It may also give you the same error with other applications that were already running on the PC. What should our first steps be? If we try to connect in any browser, it gives the same error with cscan.exe.

View 6 Replies View RelatedIt's almost impossible to use Anyconnect VPN on an 877 router because there just isn't enough space on the standard flash card to install the Anyconnect pkg file, and it seems crazy that you have to install the pkg files on the router anywhere when you can download and install Anyconnect standalone clients for Windows and other platforms - is there any way you can setup Anyconnect without having to install the clients on the router?

I can post configs if needed, but I really did replicate another ASA almost exactly.An online port scan shows my external IP as "not listening on port 443".

[code] And do I have to install any particular svc.pkg in the flash? As far as I have found out you can install only one client package (how do you server different clients then?). But if I use permanently installed AnyConnect on my client system the installed svc.pkg on the router doesn't matter at all, right?

However, I cannot connect to the Internet while I'm connected to AnyConnect. I've tried different DNS servers in the AnyConnect profile, different Split Tunnel settings. I just can't seem to figure out the Internet issue. And the strange thing is I can't resolve any Internet addresses either through the AnyConnect connection. When I try pinging [URL] it just says that it can't find the host [URL].

Once a user changes their password from their PC and then tries to connect to our WPA2 802.1x wireless it fails to authenticate and I cannot find a way to update the password that works. So we currently delete the wireless profile and create a new one. Is there a way that NAM could pull user/password from login or any other fix. We are also using ACS 4.1. AnyConnect version 3 to 3.0.5080.

When I click on that AnyConnect it try to load. Half way loading an error message pop up.Error message:The secure gateway has rejected the connection attempt. A new connection attempt to the same or another secure gateway is needed, which requires re-authentication. The following message was received from the secure gateway: No address available for SVC connection.When I load AnyConnect seperately then it works. I don't have that problem when using 8.2.

I have gone through various cisco documents. I couldnot find this option explained. Is MAC address based authentication possible in anyconnect vpn without having AAA server in place?There is an option to select end point attribute as MAC address, while creating Dynamic access policies. But at the host scan configuration of Cisco secure desktop, there are no options for performing MAC retrieval.
My ASA is running on version 8.2(1) and ASDM version 6.3(1) and a memory of 512 MB RAM. Any way for MAC based authentication in cisco anyconnect VPN.
I have a CIsco ASA 5505 with the default license that only allows the use of 3 interfaces (inside, outside, DMZ). I'm already utilizing all 3 but I'd like to configure the AnyConnect Client VPN stuff. I know with solutions like OpenVPN you can configure it to use NAT instead of actually giving it an interface with a different network and configuring routing.

The ASA I am configuring is a 5512x for the 2nd site. The main site has a pair of 5510's in a HA pair. Is it possible to setup a secondary Remote Access VPN connection for users to connect to? If I was to configure Anyconnect RA VPN on the ASA on the 2nd I would need to purchase an SSL cert in order to configure this?

Please try connecting again".I face this problem after replacing my pc. I was able to connect without problems on my previous pc.The vpn connection uses cert which i have already import to my new pc and authentication is fine since no authentication error. No changes made on my firewall.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Dell Precision M6600 laptop that will not allow me to connect to VPN Anyconnect. I am getting the following error "The VPN client driver encountered an error. AnyConnect was not able to establish a connection to the specified secure gateway. Please try connecting again". I have version 2.5.0217. I am watching the connection in Device Manager as it is going and I see it create the network port, then it disables it then I get the yellow conflict !. We have not been able to get it to connect on several M6600.
