I have an IOS upgrade scheduled on a 2800 router and I have to erase the present IOS. This is a remote location. I am worried that if the new IOS does not work properly that the router will boot in Roman mode. I would still have access to the router via a modem connected through the console of the router. How would I upgrade a router IOS in Roman through a US Robotics Modem connection on the console the router and using a US robotics on my desktop computer to dial into the router? I cannot locate any documents on the Internet about this.
Needing to upgrade IOS on 2800 router from c2800nm-advipservicesk9-mz.123-14.T7.bin to c2800nm-advipservicesk9-mz.124-15.T13.bin. I noticed ther are several other files on the old code that may needed for booting up router but Im running low on memory. The other existing files are ;
I upgraded my cable modem to 3.0 series per Comcast's suggestion which is now much faster. However, when I run my connection through my dlink 615 router, the speed drops drastically.
Upgraded my E3000 from 1.0.02 to 1.0.04 and now I cant get an ip from my arris modem. I did the 30/30/30 reset and everything but no luck. I've had to plug the modem directly into the computer for now. Where can I find the 1.0.02 download or how can I fix this?
I have two Windows 7 computers and neither one will successfully upgrade a 1242 AP to LWAP. However, I go to a coworker's XP machine and run the tool without issues. On Windows 7 I keep receiving the error message of ACL or Firewall is blocking. I have added rules and then even tried disabling the firewalls completely on both computers and still no success.
I have two CISCO 2800 routers tied together over a Metro Ethernet bewteen an HQ location and a Colocation facility. There are multiple subnets on both sides of the MAN. All things work in this regard.
I added two new Interfaces to the routers to create a VPN failover should the above MAN go down. I use IP SLA to track the MAN, then move to the VPN route when reachability is down.
I can source ping from one CISCO router Interface to the other, through the two interfaces to the Sonicwalls and reach the router interface of the CISCO on the other side of the VPN tunnel.
Problem: I can not ping any subnet behind the interface I ping through the Sonicwall VPN tunnel?
Example 2800 G0/2 interface 100.1.1.41 /30 through Sonicwal over Internet to other Sonicwall and out ot the G0/2 100.1.10.41 /30 interface on the other 2800 router. Ping is fine.
I am having an issue with a VPN tunnel in that we can only establish this from the VPN 3k side to the 2800 and not from the 2800 to the VPN 3k , the setup is as follows: [code] I am awaiting the logs from the VPN 3k but here is the debugs from the 2800. [code]
we have anew office and have a 2800 router as a WAN router it has a 3G card and a DSL link. We have a ASA which has to be configured to 2800 router. we want that ASA shd have a VPN link with pirmary site over DSL if DSL fails it shd automatically fall to 3G....what we really need and how it would be done interims of IP addressing do we need any special IP from service provider.?
I have a Cisco 2800 router. I have been noticing a lot of traffic to Pandora lately. At times my pipe is 25% music streaming and my router utilization can be quite high. Our web filtering is a hosted service that does not block all traffic depending on some of the ports. It is really designed for port 80 and 443 only.
We decided we want to block access to Pandora completely on both our primary internal LAN's and our Guest wireless LANs.
When I perform the ARIN lookup, I get these results for the IP range:
The CIDR notation does not make sense to me entirely. The IP range includes 8 class C networks. The /21 is a class b subnet of 255.255.248.0 or a router broadcast address for routing tables (depending on how you want to look at it). I was not sure if I could block the address based on the router CIDR range of if I had to use the individual classful IP ranges.
Should I block "208.85.40.0 0.0.7.255" in my ACL or should I create 8 entries to block the networks like this?
I am operating a 2800 series Cisco router. The router is working fine except that I am not able to SSH into the router. I have checked the running config with cisco's documentation and every line is correct. Prior to me getting this job they did an update and think they have corrupted the a certificate key for SSH.
Any command to generate just the SSH key and not all the other keys that would cause bigger connection issues.
I have 2 2800 series routers configured the same, but with different subnets. One works fine, the other the client can't obtain an IP, and hardcoded, cant ping.
I ran DHCP debug and I can see the router assigning the IP, and I see and ARP entry that matches the MAC of the client.
We have a customer in the UK, who is starting to deploy ADSL2+ circuits for the new sites they are adding to their BT IPClear MPLS network. We want to standardise with a config for each site, but to date have found that we seem to be using a different config for each site. Some are configured using a dialer interface & some using a virtual template.
Why on some of the sites the virtual template method works & on others we have to configure a dialer interface. Also in regards to the speeds, what should we configure as bandwidth statements & also for traffic shaping. I know that the ADSL2+ circuits can operate at various speeds, but am i right in thinking these higher speeds are the clock rate of the line & with the BT IPClear product, the customer only gets the agreed/paid for bandwidth.
As this figure is different in both directions, when the traffic shaping is configured using vbr-rt command, is the amount entered based on the slower upstream bandwidth on the circuit.
Local LAN is connected with cisco 2800 router and SRX 210 Firewall, currently all LAN segment will go to my Data Center via ISP A and all internet traffic from LAN segment will go to internet via SRX firewall, there is no relation/connection between cisco router and SRX firewall. I have separate AS no. s for both the ISP
I am having attached scenario. based on current one I would like to do following.
1. I need to use PBR at LAN Switch ( its L3 Switch) such that in normal scenario - local VLAN traffic is equally distributed on both ISP. 2. dedicated internet traffic will flow through ISP B only and if WAN link of ISP B goes down, the internet traffic will pass through ISP A.
( in normal scenario, ISP A will utilized 100 % for LAN traffic to reach it to DC but once ISP B link goes down, the b/w of ISP A will be divided to route 50% traffic for LAN segment to DC and rest 50% traffic of LAN segment to internet)
My client has about 15 public IP addresses for their WAN network. All the internal network IP will be dynamic NAT to these 15 IP addresses to communicate to Internet. Since they are dynamically NAT, if anybody want to access my client internal network from outside internet, we usually advise them to use the whole range of IP.
The modem router used to dynamically NAT these 15 IPs are Cisco 2800.
I am thinking of the configuration using WAN DDNS on this Cisco 2800 for combine these 15 IPs to a DNS name by DDNS method (or any other way beside the DDNS) so that outside people can use one DNS name instead of whole range of IP. In case there is limitation of configuration of some outside people can use only one setting instead of one whole range of IP, they still can access by using one DNS name.
I need Cisco router 2800 series boot ios image from network(tftp), when flash is corrupted or router doesn't see it, so it is impossible ? Command, i used boot system tftp: ios.bin but this does not work.
I have a Cisco 2800 series router with E1 PRI module at Head Office, and Cisco 786 with single ISDN BRI port,When I dial from either side only one B channel is up ,means 64 K only.
Is it possible to upgrade the CSACS-1121-UP-K9 to be a non upgrade part? We were going to upgrade from a Windows 4.x to the above Appliance (version 5.x) but there is now a reason to keep the old Windows version running therefore we cannot give the new Appliance the old ACS's licenses?!So we should have (with hindsight) bought a fresh version of the ACS 5.x rather than an upgrade.
Any known problem with the DRAM on 2800 routers? Over the past few months we have had four 2800s fail to reboot after power off/on and in all cases this was due to faulty DRAM. All four routers had been working fine for months with no problems and only failed after being rebooted. They all failed when trying to load the IOS into memory and therefore all got stuck in rom mon. The compact flash cards were all ok as a working 2800 booted up using the flash from the faulty routers. I haven't seen a field notice so are we just unlucky here?
I have applied a crypto map (fo ipsec vpn) on the dialer interface (for PPoE connection) in Cisco 2800; every time when the router restarts the crypto map is removed from the dialer interface even though i save the configuration every tim when i apply the map on the interface. Is there any way that the crypto map remains there on the dialer interface after the restart of router.
We have configured an cisco 2800 for vpn clients. The weird thing is that after some time (not specific time interval and no idle connection) asks for re-authentication. Some times after re-authenticating session disconnects.
provide input on what these Traceback messages are and how they are caused:

We recieved this for one of our routers. Rebooting it worked, so it's likely a software bug and we will upgrade the IOS soon, but I would like to understand what these log messages.
We have a cisco 2800 router and are now required to allow users to be able to connect to another company's extranet. Having tried this it wont allow this connection so I have added this to the access-list 101
access-list 101 remark SDM_ACL Category=0 access-list 101 permit ip any host 192.168.0.246 access-list 101 permit ip any host 192.168.0.247
[Code].....
I dont think the gre is being allowed back in. I have attached a cut down copy of the config. I have just general experience of cisco routers and not cisco qualified.
i have two cisco 2800 routers , and i have three different networks , so can cisco routers supports more than one private network example,My First location i have one public connection of 200.100.100. 1 and private network of 192.168.1.x network and the second router i have one public connection of 200.100.100.10 and two private networks of 192.168.50.x and 192.168.60.x , So can i route my first location to this two different networks , because my router have only two FastEthernet connection , so how it's possible or not.
