We have a cisco 1941 with line t1 Symmetric, (Also have Cisco 1841 unused, but works) I would like to connect the Cisco 1841 to four Adsl Backup lines in case the T1 or the Main cisco 1941 go down I know a BGP is needed on our ISP site,
How can i connect four Adsl lines to The cisco 1841 (Backup) and make them work in a Load Balancing way.
I've 6 ADSL lines that provided by the same ISP and i've Cisco router 2600, so, how can I connect the six lines to the cisco router and running load balancing between them ??

I have a 1841 router having 2 ISP links , till now I have been using IP SLA for NAT Failover but now I want to use OER to do Load Balancing and utlize both of my internet links . I went through an article which tells me of the configuration part however It only has 1 default route . We've got a 1841 router with dual-WAN connection, one is Cable and it goes to Fa0/0, another one is ADSL2+ and it goes to WIC-ADSL card.I'm trying to configure a load-balancing and failover using per-packet or per-destination connection.I can configure "ip sla" for both connections pinging 2 different DNS IPs of 2 ISPs. But I can't configure command "track 1 rtr 1 reachability" and "track 2 rtr 2 reachability". There is no "rtr" allowed to type there. And all examples shows that command for load-balancing. What command to use for that or why I cannot use the above command?

I have tried to redirect all my vpn traffic through the Dialer1 with PBR, but it does not work.
If the load balancing is set to src-dst-ip, will a layer 2 switch forward based on that information? Particularly talking about a 6500, with trunk interfaces, since those packets never go to the layer 3 engine, will the load-balancing work as intended?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI work for an ISP and we are currently bonding 5x 6Mb ADSL connections for use as a wireless backhaul. We are currently using a Cisco 3725 and bonding the links via MLPPP. This set up is working fine except that we are not getting the full 30Mb on the download side. We are seeing more like 18 to 20. I am wondering if we can acheive the full speed with our current set up or will we need something different to get the job done.

Well i have a PC with 2 LANs - 2 phone lines - 2 ADSL modems - as far as i learned from Google , by no means it is possible to combine them to have 1 MB data rate but it is possible for example IDM would works with one 512 and another program with another 512..!! And load balancing is the only solution for this which it needs a special routers ! it is somehow difficult for me to provide one ..!! so my question is :
1- Is there any other solution for combining this 2 lines?! I heard something about teaming.
2- Is it possible to use load balancing by software?
3- How about the efficiency and ping time?
We are bonding two LLU DSL lines using MLP. Our LLU provider supports MLP bonding and we have a few other customers working well on Cisco 1841s, although not such high sync speed lines as this problem site.
So the lines work well with no interface errors and sync speeds are very good and evenly matched between the two lines (approx 14Mbps downstream). It's all good - it's great in fact except that it just doesn't work properly! By that I mean we're not seeing the downstream throughput we'd expect. We actually get the downstream throughput of less than a single DSL line, so about 12Mbps. Upstream bonded throughput is fine and in line with the sync speeds.
Both circuits are 'active' in the PPP multilink bundle and I see 3 sessions on our core LNS Cisco 7301 (c7301-boot-mz.124-2.T.bin) - i.e. 2x circuits + 1x bundle. We've checked the circuits individually and 'actual' throughput (using NetPerf software) is similar for both lines and in line with the sync speeds.
We are seeing quite high CPU (50%) on the Cisco 1841 (c1841-ipbasek9-mz.124-24.T1.bin) at the customer premesis, but having tested a Cisco 2951 on the customer premesis with two new HWIC-1ADSL-M cards, this is not the cause. The 2951 ran at 5% CPU whilst we experienced the same problem.
We've checked the setup of both Cisco CPE and LNS with our LLU provider and they are happy with the MLP config. They themselves have been able to bond two similarly sync'd Annex-M DSL lines and get 25Mbps throughput on a 1841.
I have 4 ADSL lines from the same ISP going into one Cisco 887VA router. How can I do load sharing between the 4 lines without getting the ISP involved?

My network topology is like this :

1. I configure my DSL Modem in RFC 2684. The first use 172.16.0.2/29 and the second 172.16.0.3/29. I connect this devices to Fa0/0/0 and Fa0/0/1.
2. I configure Vlan1 to use the network configured on my modem :

ip address 172.16.0.1 255.255.255.248
3. I try to ping my devices :

We have a Cisco 2851 router with Advanced Securit IOS version 12.4(13r)T. In the router we have a WIC-1ADSL connected to business DSL with a static IP. We were wondering what our options are regarding adding another WIC-1ADSL card and DSL line and either grouping the two or load balancing to increase our bandwidth. Unfortunately at this time DSL is our only option.

I have a Cisco 2811 router with two HWIC-ADSL cards configured for dsl connection. I have two lines from the same ISP and i am load balancing between them. I have created a couple of SLA's to check the state of the connections and add to the routing table the two default routes if both are up or any one of them is up.My problem is that when i try to download big files (especially antivirus updates) the download at some point stops (especially the antivirus exits with an error of unreachability). If i shut down one line everything works fine.Could i use something (configuration-wise) to prevent this problem from happening?????Is there any way i can combine the two lines? They are simple ADSL connctions with static ip's.

There are no static routes configured, so i'm baffled by what could cause some of the UDP packets to go through the wrong WAN.All TCP Traffic from 192.168.5.200 is seen going though WAN2 as it should.
I want to load balance my Internet traffic between two ASR 1001 routers that are connected to our core switches. Both routers are connected to the same ISP (Comcast) going to the same BGP AS on different /30 subnets. Is there a way for me to load balance my Internet traffic using both connections with BGP rather than having one of these connections sitting idle? If not, the only solution I see is to configure my layer 3 devices to split internet traffic between both routers (i.e. default routes with same AD).

So the existing scenario is like When ever MPLS link goes down Traffic will be moved to DSL connection. and once it come again it will be moved back to DSL using HSRP we are doing this. in this case most of the times my DSL connection will be in standby mode.Now my management decided to use both the links in active state and want to do some load balance between the links for some specific traffic like Internet, WSUS Updates, Antivirus updates need to go through the DSL connection even the MPLS is up and running.
I have a rv042 router with two internet connections. I have setp the WAN1 and WAN2 and set the load balance mode. Surfing on internet is then not a problem and I checked that I was using the two internet connection.However if I try to connect to my corporate (OWA) outlook web access i am looping on the first page where I should provide my credentials.I know that most of the load balancer could be set up with a sticky bit to keep the session on the same WAN connection.
