D-Link DIR-825 :: Unable To Access Only 1 Site And IMAP Mail?
May 5, 2013
I recently purchased a DLink DIR-815 router to replace my aging Linksys. The router works great, except that I can't access my ISPs website, nor their IMAP server. I can access every other page on the web. If I connect direct to the modem, or through my old Linksys it's fine, but with the DLink I'm having problems. Internet is DSL using PPPoE. The net info from the status tab is:
Local address : 206.248.167.xxx
Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.255
Peer address : 206.248.154.104
Primary DNS Server : 206.248.154.22
Secondary DNS Server : 206.248.154.170
ISP web page is at 206.248.155.70, and mail server is at 206.248.188.90 I have reset the router to factory default, and setup the PPPoE, and still the same issue. I have also tried using the DMZ but no luck. ISP can't seem to figure out the issue, and points to the router configuration.
I purchased a Western Digital My Book Live external hard drive. After I connected it with my BEFW11S4 and installed the WD interface, I found that I hung when I tried to access my aol email account, either using AOL's own software or using the AOL mail link on the AOL home page on Firefox. WD knew nothing about such a problem. I have had the router for years with no problems; the firmware is 1.50.14 dating from May 2004
We have a client that has a Cisco 1801W Firewall that is setup as a site to site VPN terminating to a Cisco ASA 5505. The tunnel is up and established, I can ping from both sides of the tunnel.
The problem is the clients behind the Cisco ASA (192.168.2.x) cannot reach certain ports behind the Router (192.168.1.x). The main thing we're trying to do is browse via UNC path (ex: \192.168.1.120 from a 192.168.2.x machine).
I got 3389 working after I changed the - ip nat inside source static tcp 192.168.1.120 3389 y.y.x.x 3389 route-map DM_RMAP_1 extendable Modified the command to include the public IP instead of interface FastEthernet0
I believe it has something to do with the way NAT and route-maps are setup currently but I'm not familar enough with them to make the changes. I worked with Cisco to ensure the VPN tunnel was fine and it's something security related on the Router.
Here is the configuration (removed a few lines not necessary. y.y.x.x = WAN IP of Router x.x.y.y = WAN IP of ASA).

I have a Belkin F7D2301 v1 (01) and I am having the exact same issue. I like to do surveys and I've never been able to access this particular site It does the same thing as the original person's problem. I'm kind of scared to change anything on my router setup because I have several computers on the same router. Will any of this cause the other computers not to run on the router?
I am having issue with network connectivity between remote access (RA) VPN users and remote site VPN hosts.
Topology is: RA VPN laptop (192.168.200.3 /24) ---- internet ---- Head Office (ASA5505) -- LAN subnet 10.0.0.0 /24
SiteB (10.0.10.0 /24) ---- internet ----- Head Office (ASA5505) ---- LAN subnet 10.0.0.0 /24
From head office there is no issue communicating with RA VPN and siteB hosts but Site B hosts and RA VPN users can not communicate each other totally (ping failed too).
Site B is using Cisco 867 router with IPSEC VPN to the ASA5505 at head office. I have added the ACL on this router to access 192.168.200.x /24 for VPN traffic and exempt from NATing. When I enabled ' drop log' in the class-map in the Zone based firewall config, I could not see any ping packt comes in so I believe the issue is at ASA5505 config.
At ASA5505 I use split VPN tunnel ACL and have included the subnet for 10.0.10.0/24 as well as 192.168.200.0 /24. This split tunnel ACL are applied to both the IPSec VPN tunnel and also the RA VPN group policy. The ASA is using sw version 151-4.M5.
I have a requirement to create a site to site vpn tunnel on ASA 5510 from a remote site to my HO, ihave already other site-to-site tunnels are up and running on the ASA.The issue is my remote site has got the network address which falls in one of the subnet used in HO(192.168.10.0/24).My requirement is only My remote site need to accees couple of my servers in HO which is in 192.168.200.0/24 subnet.
I am trying to set up a site to site ipsec connection. AT site A, I have Vlan's 652-10.55.216.0/24, Vlan653 -10.55.217.0/24, Vlan 654-10.55.217.0/24 and Vlan655-10.55.219.0/24 and at site B, Vlan650-10.55.214.0/24 and Vlan651-10.55.215.0/24.The problem is that I am unable to get any associations when i do a "sh crypto isakmp sa"/"sh crypto ipsec sa" on either router at each site.I am also unable to ping by pluging in a laptop into the site at each site. Laptop at site A is set to access vlan 655 and laptop at site B is set to acess vlan 651. I can ping all the devices from one end to the other.I have turned on debug crypto isakmp, debug crypto ipsec, debug crypto ipsec errors but dont get anything at all as output.I have attached the sh run for each router Cisco (1941/K9) and switch (Catalyst 3750) at each site.
I have two Cisco routers - 2911 in HQ and RV180 in branch office. Because in HQ LAN network I have some development servers, to which guys from branch office need to have acces, I decided to setup VPN site-to-site between HQ and branch office. Everything went quite smoothly, on both devices I see, that ipsec connection is established. Unfortunately I am not able to ping resources from one network to other one and vice versa. Below is the configuration of 2911 router (I skipped som unimportant (imho) configuration directives) :
I have a dynamic VPN site to site between ASA 5510 vs C880 with segment 172.23.191.0/25 for ASA side and some host in C880 side (e.g. 128.1.100.211, 128.1.115.181, 128.1.104.212) . The VPN is up, but only have communication with a host (128.1.115.181).
In the logs appears the next message when I try communication for all aother IP in the policy map configuration: IKE Initioator unable to find policy: Intf Inside, Src: 172.23.191.87, Dst: 128.1.115.182..ONLY WHEN I PINGING FROM SOME HOST IN C880 SIDE (e.g. 128.1.100.211) the communication is successfull.
What happen with this VPN, because I need to pinging from C880 IP host to ASA segment for establish communication?
I am configuring Site-to-Site VPN with another company. I already make a couple of tunnels but with this one I have a problem. They I already using on their side my local network 192.168.10.0/24 (server is 192.168.10.10) so we need to use imaginary network 172.16.0.5 as server address. Now I need to do NAT 172.16.0.5 to 192.168.10.10 but I am not so good in that.
I am unable to ping any device on the internal lan from the opposite side of the tunnel. However, the tunnel connects successfully. I have the firewall disabled on both routers. Site A is using 192.168.3.1 and Site B is using 192.168.4.1. Any thoughts on why I cant ping one router from the other?
I am reading my gmail through Outlook 2007, using imap. When my computer is connected to the router by cable, everything works fine. When I try to connect wireless to the same router, it wont work. I can send e-mails, but outlook will not download new mail og syncronize with the server.

I have a problem with my tp-link router. I dont have an internet access of the router, updated firmware... When i connect to router by laptop the internet works fine, but when i connect to router by phone i have an internet access only 5 second and than i lost it, but still connected. I don't know what is the problem here, maybe phone?
I can not access my yahoo mail anymore! I tried to re-set - it doesnt work! However, there is an option in small letters to try to access via Facebook sign-in option or Google - and that is i dont want to do.I feel i am being pushed for this option and provide yahoo with access to all my private information in Facebook.
When activating the option to send mail when motion is detected I am receiving mails permanently while I am at home and walking through the zone observed by the camera.
I have had a setup in which my four DCS-930Ls transfer picture every 15 minutes over a Dovado-router connected to a mobile broadband modem. This has worked perfectly until this last night. No pictures are transferred and upon using the test FTP function the status page just says "Testing ...." forever. I've also tested e-mailing picture without success.
I have successfully installed a DCS-930L camera. However, when I add a second DCS-942L camera everything stops when I enter my existing account and password stating that they are incorrect (which they are not). The answer I get is: "Invalid e-mail and password combination".
I had problem accessing to my yahoo mail (Beta) half way replying an email in yahoo itself, 9 hours ago. Since then, I can't log on to yahoo mail eventhough yahoo homa page is working. No problem with yahoo-ing for news but just the mail. I tried these links thourh google search:You may be able to get to your mail with one of these links.http:[url]... Or: http:[url].... . but every time the links show a dead-end, "Error encountered processing your last request! We have run into a problem processing your last request! Refreshing the page may fix the problem, or use the link below to return to your Inbox." while no link to be found.I am also using microsoft outlook 2010 for a separate email address. Just don't know how to import yahoo mail.Is it a problem with yahoo beta? or yahoo mail in general?

I have a TL-MR3420 router placed in a remote location. The internet connection is via 3G, and since the telco is shifting the IP every 24 hours, the router is configured with DDNS from no-ip.org. This is working OK most days, but sometimes the DNS fails to update. To be able to trobleshoot it, I am trying to make my router send a mail with the logfile every hour. This function seems to be easy and out-of-the-box, but it doesn't wiork. Whenever I try to mail the log I get the error message "Fail to Connect the mail server.".
It is not possible to enter another SMTP-port, so I asume the standard port 25 (like this thread). Most ISP-mail services require SSL/TLS and/or use an alternative port, so I have made my own server. This server is visible on the Internet, and I (and others) are able to connect and send mails using smtp on port 25. But, still my remote TL-MR3420 keep saying "Fail to Connect the mail server.". I have tried nearly everything, including disabling authentication and giving the IP-address of the smtp server directly instead of the URL.
When signing in on my e-mail I accidently clicked on "yes" when asked if I wanted the computer to remember details. Now I can't find out how to reverse it. new to computers as you can see.
I purchased Linksys EA4500 and after I connected to my yahoo mail web address does not work ...The router only blocks access to some websites including [URL], and [URL] configuring the router - connection without the router works perfectly?
I have been asked to setup a site to site VPN link between two 877-w routers. Not yet had a chance to look at the actual pieces of hardware as they are overseas.
I am normally a software developer, however with recent staff changes at my company I am now the sole IT person. We have to sites: A and B, and we need to make a site to site.
I have access only to the Site A, this one contain a ADSL modem/router (D-Link DSL-2640U), and a ASA5505 behind the modem. We have an public fixed IP addresse configured on the modem. All the information that i have to configure the vpn is: Public ip of the site_BThe encryption algorithm 3DES-MD5.Shared secretThe site_B subnetwork to be reached using the vpnAnd i nedd to get this VPN UP, and it must be no nating for pakets going throught the VPN (for maintenance Issus).
The D-link modem is configured to get the Public IP from my ISP, and i set on it a DMZ to the ASA5505 (192.168.1.254).Until now, i folowed the site-to-site assistant using the ASDM. [code]
Have a Site to Site VPN link up between two ASA (8.4) boxes, one of which is on a static IP (on campus) and the other a dynamic IP (remote). The link is up and functional and works flawlessly as I need it to, however, on the dynamic end, there is only one device behind the remote ASA, a point of sale terminal.
The POS terminal / server works like this. The terminal has a static IP on the private network behind the remote ASA, and our financial server knows this IP, and connects out from our campus to the remote terminal. The terminal itself never calls home. Because of how this works, if the VPN link goes down, the terminal never tries to reconnect back home, which would force the remote ASA to rebuild the link, and if the link is down, because the remote end is dynamically addressed, our campus ASA doesn't know to bring the link back up.
Is there a way to ensure, or at least attempt, to keep this VPN link up indefinitately? With keepalives or timeout settings or whatnot? I want the link to never, ever, ever get torn down, unless something catastrophic has happened.
Our Headquarter (asa 5510) is running a site to site vpn connection with a Branch office (router 2811). All remote users are accesing the internet through the VPN and also accesing headquarter file servers.I want to know if there is a way for some remote users to be able to use the vpn for accesing the file servers but to access the internet through the branch office. The rest of the remote users will be still accessing the internet through VPN.
I've setup a site to site vpn on an ASA 5510 using ASDM (as I have many times before) and the tunnel appears to be up but I am not able to pass traffic. When I run the packet tracer from my inside network to the remote destination network, it shows that it is blocked by the implicit deny ip any any rule on my inside incoming access list.
we have two ASA 5510s one in 8.4(4) and one in 8.2(5) in a site-to-site VPN setup. All internal traffic is working smoothly.Site/Subnet A: 192.160.0.0 - local (8.4(4)) Site/Subnet B: 192.260.0.0 - remote (8.2(5)) VPN Users: 192.160.40.0 - assigned by ASA When you VPN into the network, all traffic hits Site A, and everything on subnet A is accessible.
Site B however, is completely inaccessible for VPN users. All machines on subnet B, the firewall itself, etc... is not reachable by ping or otherwise. There are also some weird NAT rules that I am not happy with that were created after I upgraded Site A ASA to 8.4
Site A internal: 192.160.x.x External: 55.55.555.201(main)/202(mail) Site B (over site-to-site) is 192.260.x.x External: 66.66.666.54(all)
I pretty much just have the basic NAT rules for VPN, Email, Internet and the site-to-site.What do I need to add for the VPN to be able to access the site-to-site network?
