if there is any substance to the ACER claims. My friend has an ACER lappy with ACERs version of the Intel 2915ABG. They claim the following;
Acer has reinforced its commitment to mobile users with the introduction of high performance wireless using SignalUp technology from Acer. A 2004 study conducted by independent authority RMIT IT Labs found that Acer SignalUp technology provided 25% increased wireless strength against wireless notebooks from Dell, HP/Compaq and Toshiba.“The Acer notebooks wireless LAN performance was clearly superior to the Intel Centrino based notebooks tested from Dell, HP and Toshiba.” said Steve Turvey, Manager, RMIT Test Lab. “The Acer TravelMate maintained connections at a significantly greater distance from the Access Point when compared to the other notebooks.”
Do they have a modified intel 2915 ? Can we install ACERs driver to get the 25% increase in performance ?
I did a clean install on acer extensa e261 with xp pro. i had to download the audi, vga and lan drivers from acer website. audi and vga is good but the lan driver has no setup or .exe file.
I have a new Dell Inspiron 3520 that I have had for about a week. My wireless signal is horrible...it only has one bar, maybe two, and sometimes none at all...and it is right beside my router. My old Toshiba lap top that is ten years old has a complete full signal. I can not find a solution to this, I am ready to take this Dell back and get another Toshiba.
I recently received the blue screen and had to do a clean install of Windows XP on my Dell Vostro 1520. I then proceeded to install the Dell drivers and downloads in the order according to Dell's website. But the wireless driver continually gave me a Setup.rul 380 error, so I did a manual install of that. Unfortunately something is still incorrect. The internet connects, but the wireless icon at the bottom has a pop that says "Adapter Problem. Driver is not installed." I don't know a lot about computers and I'm not sure if I did something wrong, but I can't figure this one out.
I reinstalled my windows7 again, because my laptop was jamming so much. But i cant connect to internet via wireless. I dont have any other options to connect my computer to internet other than using wi fi. I think it says i didnt install the wifi driver. i tried something, but it didnt work. btw i have inspiron 15r bought in the end of 2010
Just did a fresh install of Windows 8 on my inspiron 14r 5420 and installed all the drivers under chipset for Windows 8 OS. When I tried installing the wireless driver, specifically
[URL]
which is the first one on the list it keeps saying 'Sorry, the requested file could not be downloaded.' . So because of this I don't have wireless on my laptop.
the link of dell 3521 wireless driver for win 7 64 bit.i am having trouble finding the right driver.the drivers available on dell website are not installing.
I upgraded to Windows 8. Now when I install the Bluetooth Drivers downloaded from Dell Website, it shows 'This program has compatibility issues'. How can I get my Bluetooth working, where can I get the driver for windows 8.
Is something from computer inspiron 530's vista intel pentuim dual core blocking my signal from my wirless usb adapter netgear n300 wna 3100 from going on line? seems to work on other computers in the house that isnt dell..
From the Dell Drivers and Downloads page, I downloaded the WiFi Link 5300 driver (R213215.exe) assuming it would enable my WiFi to run. I tried to install it and was met with an error message: "This installation is not supported on this operating system version. The setup application will exit." It will not install and my WiFi is still down.My system is an Alienware m15x with Windows 7 64-bit. I recently re-installed Windows due to a small bug that was hampering Google Chrome. Before I re-installed Windows, the WiFi was working just fine. Any working WiFi driver?
Inspiron N5050.Fresh install Win 7 sp1 home premium.I have the Dell drivers disc.when I go through the list of drivers to install, there is one listed for the wireless card for this computer, but it does not have the 'tick' which says the device has been detected.i try to install that driver anyway and I am asked to "Activate Bluetooth Using Wireless Switch". I went here [URL] and then did a search for DW1702, which is the card listed on my customer invoice. From that search I am taken here [URL] which lists 3 kinds of drivers: A01, A02 and A03. I have tried all three. A01 and A03 give up quite quickly. With the A02 the InstallShield Wizard starts up and most of the installation seems to take place and then it gives up. Windows tells me the driver was not installed properly.Whenever there is a problem over drivers, Dell tells us to install the Notebook System Software. There is no NSS on my drivers disc. (It does not come up on the list of drivers to install when the disc is first inserted and is not listed under 'System Utilities'.) Since I can't connect to the internet without at least an ethernet driver installed, how am I supposed to install the NSS first? In any case when I enter my service tag on here or do a search for the N5050, I am given 11 filtered results and 33 'all related drivers' but no NSS.I was charged extra for the drivers disc and it doesn't have what I want. The laptop without a wireless card is useless to me.
My parents own two old Dell Latitude D505 laptops, and they want to use them with their wireless internet. They have one Belkin Wireless G Notebook Network Card (#F5D7010), but when I put it in, it says I have to download the drivers for it, and can't find the drivers. I tried downloading the Belkin Driver, but it still says another driver is missing. My question: Would it be possible to download the driver on my mac, transfer it to the dell with a flash drive and install it? If so, how do I find the right one?
Dell wireless 365,370,380 Bluetooth module is the most common Bluetooth device that Dell uses. Its normally supports Widdcom Bluetooth driver which is manufactured by Broadcom and Modified by Dell ......But dell has removed Windows 8 support In some old Windows 7 laptops like N5010.....But fortunately the windows 7 drivers are working fine on windows8 and most of them are installed during the windows installation....But the main problem is the Bluetooth driver (Dell Wireless 3XX module)
Broadcom has released their Bluetooth driver for Windows 8 PRO.....the Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0 driver has support for a lot of Bluetooth devices and Dell Wireless 3XX Bluetooth module is in the support list.....But as Broadcom don't provide drivers directly to customers.... they give it to the system manufacturers like Dell, Lenovo, HP, etc. and the modify it for ease of their customers.so here is the Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0 driver from Lenovo site which is running fine on Dell 365 Bluetooth device without any compatibility issue and also you can use Bluetooth Control Panel as you do in Windows 7?
I had issue with spyware bogging down laptop. I reistalled windows 7. Currently, I have no driver to run wireless network. tried everything i can think of and talked to my cable provider and still no fix. I tried troubleshooter to no avail.
I am unable to install the driver for my wireless device on my Dell Vostro 1500 laptop running Windows XP Professional. The laptop originally came with Windows Vista Basic edition. I have tried installing the driver for Windows XP from the original drivers CD that came with the laptop and also by downloading it from Dell's Web site. The driver program installs without giving an error, but after installation the device remains nonfunctional and the Device Manager shows no information about the wireless hardware.
