Dell :: Inspiron 1720 Wireless Connects But Cannot Access Internet

The wireless activates and finds wireless connections and auto connects with no problem but "No Internet Access".It seems it cannot retrieve an IP address from my local DHCP server. I am on a home network.I have already reset my router and other computers on my network are not having any problems getting connected, and I've also re-installed driver.Dell Wireless WLAN Card Uitilty reports "Pass" on all Hardware Diagnostics, and passes all Connection Diagnostics up to Gateway IP Ping.Link Status shows Gateway IP address not available, and Client IP as 169.254.13.90.Setting manual IP info on the wireless adapter to match my network does not work either.After manually setting the IP information on the adapter, IPCONFIG shows the IP info I entered, however, pinging the Client IP returns "General Failure"Inspiron 1720 running Win7 with Dell wireless 1505 draft 802.11n WLAN mini-card.

Yesterday my father asked me to reinstall windows after making complete mess of his laptop. After formatting the hard drives and installing the Vista operating system a problem occurred. After installing the drivers from the Dell Drivers CD I can't make the wireless internet working. Windows keeps giving me the "Windows needs to install driver software for your network controller" message. I have goggled the whole internet, did everything from the "PLEASE READ FIRST" thread and still had no success.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1720 and I can't get connected to the internet at all. Either wireless or hard wire. I have another laptop and desktop that are working fine, never any problems. This laptop has worked before, my brother in law had it before, and he said that he had connected before, but now nothing.

My computer used to work fine with wifi but all of a sudden the wifi is not working. At the bottom of the screen I get the bluetooth icon and the little icon with green tick that comes up when you plug in a usb keeps on flashing. The computer show wireless networks available but the next second they disappear. I have installed the driver from dell website, reinstalled the windows and the driver couple of time but the problem persists.
I tried to locate the driver and the hardware and when I go to Device Manager the list keeps on refreshing every 10 seconds.
Under the device manager Network Adapters I can see Broadcom 440x10/100 Integrated Controller and Microsoft ISATAP Adapter 2 (the later keeps coming and disappearing every 10 seconds)
Under the other devices I see yellow semi colon next to Base Sys Device (3 times) and Network controller.

Inspiron 1720 lost wireless connection after Service tech had me reboot Wireless router for other issue not relating to this computer. Now when I look for wireless connections can not find any. Hard wire works fine. Trouble shoot states there may be a problem with one or more of my network adapters. Not very computer savy....But did find a way to run a Ping test and pass. Clicked on my 1502 Draft 802.11n WLAN Mini card and it states this device is working properly. Opened Broadcom control suite and it shows a Red X on the intergrated controller and the wireless card. with option to run a test or explanation of the Red X.
Do I need a new card or is there something else conflicting with it.. I find it hard to believe the card crashed right when I rebooted the Router...ISP sent a tech out but was not able to find problem.

I just did a clean install on sister's Dell Inspiron 1720 Vista Home Premium 32bit, and the WiFi will not recognize the connection. She is the second connection on this WiFi, and after the install, I can't get the ISP No. from AT&T! They keep telling me there is a driver problem, and the IOS says All Tests Passed.
I am not familiar with WiFi connectivity, I have LAN in my location, and am not familiar with this connectivity issue. How to get the ISP info w/o spending the next 4 hours on the phone with AT&T.

I have new Inspiron 1720 running Vista with the Dell wireless 1390 WLAN mini-card. I will be connected to the wireless network just fine, but it will then disconnect. My problem is I cannot re-connect to it without having to do a total restart. I go to the place to refresh the list, and it finds nothing. I ask it to repair the network, and it can't becasue it cannot find a network. I have at least 4 other networks in the area that I can normally see, and none appear when I hit the refresh button. But I totally restart the system, and everything works fine again (until it drops again).

The Bluetooth device driver keeps on turning off / on on its own. I'm using a wireless internet connection with a netgear router and it used to work fine for months. Problem started a week ago. I have Windows Vista Home Premium with SP2. Below are the items listed under the network adapters of device manager when my internet connection is fine:
1) Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network) - (status is disabled)
2) Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI)
3) Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller
4) Cisco Systems VPN Adapter - (status is disabled)
5) Intel (R) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN
No signs of a conflict like a yellow exclamation mark or X.And here are the only ones listed when i lose connection:
1) Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller
2) Cisco Systems VPN Adapter - (status is disabled)
3) Intel (R) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN
Here are the things I have done:
1) Reinstalled the network drivers downloaded from Dell specifically:Intel (R) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller2) When the first 2 items are visible, i tried to check for updated drivers by right clicking on it and hitting Update Driver software but it gave me a message that its already updated.
3) Enabled items 1 and 4 to see if it will make a difference but not.
4) Tried the TCP/IP stack repair options by going into CMD running it as Admin and typing in the lines below: netsh winsock reset catalognetsh int ipv4 reset reset.lognetsh int ipv6 reset reset.logRestarted the machine but still got the same problem.
5) Already checked the switch from the side of the laptop and its ON.

I am having a problem with my Inspiron 1525. It connects to my home wifi network, but doesn't connect to the internet. The Windows says there is a problem with the router, but my housemates have no problem getting into the internet with their Macbooks. I have tried resetting the router (numerous times) and disconnecting from my network and reconnecting, but it doesn't work.

I have a modem/software issue when dialing into my ISP. Modem seems to handshake correctly with the ISP, password is accepted, then I get the normal message "Registering the Computer on the Network". This never goes away ( it should in a few seconds) and the machine freezes with no cursor/mouse movement or keyboard. Only way to get out of this is to hold the power button until computer powers down. Reloaded the modem driver. Tried an external USB modem and the same thing happens. Used another computer of the same make and model and it works fine on the same phone line/ISP.

I bought a brand-new Inspiron 15R laptop from Dell and the DW1510 Wireless N WI-FI card will only connect at a maximum of 72mbps. I've tried the laptop with two different N certified routers a (D-Link and Belkin). Routers are configured correctly for N speed and within 10 inches of the laptop.
The speed I am experiencing is nowhere near the 300mbps connection speed possible.

I have a Dell Inspiron 560 desktop pc--running Windows Vista--and Clear mode internet connect to an integral Ethernet connection (built into computer) and I cant connect to internet. When I try to connect it says it cant find hardware. Device manager shows a ethernat with a Realtex RTL8168 PCI E and driver but with a yellow question mark.

I have a Dell Inspiron 15R laptop. I can connect to the internet with excellent connectivity but it still shows "No Internet Access". I have been struggling since last 2 days to resolve this issue so have gone through various forums to find a solution but none worked. Here are the things that I have already tried:1. Restarted / Reset my modem.2. ipconfig / release and renew.3. Deselect IPv6.4. net stop and start for winhttpautoproxysvc and dhcp client.5. Turn off McAfee firewall.6. Reset network adapter settings.I can connect to internet in "safe mode with networking" but not in normal mode.In fact, I can connect to the same wi-fi using my smartphone. Somebody suggested me that it could be a dnschanger virus attack. I checked that also and it's not that virus.

I have a Dell Inspiron 580S, running on W7 64-bits, with a Broad com Netlink (TM) Gigabit Ethernet adapter.
I am not being able to connect to the internet either via wireless nor wired network. I have updated the network and BIOS drivers to the latest versions as suggested here, but the problem still persists. Other computers connected to the same network via wireless connection do have internet access without issues.

Im using a DSL wifi. Everytime I try to connect it says "Connected but no internet access with a yellow punctuation mark". When i tried to connect the Router cable directly to my DSL to my laptop the wifi works as well but when i unplug the router cable that connects to my laptop, the wifi shows same problem again with connection but no internet access. How did this happen coz i tried to use other device and it is connecting well. I even tried on my cellphone and it is fine too. But on my laptop it won't work anymore.

I am currently in Thailand and I have been using dozens of different wifi connections around Australia and South-east Asia without a problem for the last year. I moved into a new place yesterday and when I tried to connect, it has the little yellow triangle with an exclamation mark, over the wireless symbol on the taskbar. I tried the troubleshooter but it says turn the modem off an on, I don't think I can do this, I'll try and ask reception but I doubt they will let me.
No-one else at this place I am staying has had the same problem as me. The signal strength is "excellent", the wifi password is correct. I have windows 7 on a Dell Inspiron.
I am at my old place now, where the internet works. I downloaded the internet test thing from one of the stickies, I'll go and do that at my new place and post the results soon.

On the administrator side everything is fine, I can access the internet, my documents ect. We recently changed to AVG Virus protector
because with Windows Essentials had issues with a rogue Spyware Program saying we had viruses and wanted us to sign up
with some other people. So I have removed WE and now have AVG, the scan has run and it's all running well On my side of comp.
The problem is when I switch to my husband's side of the computer and click on the internet exp. the following message appears:
Windows cannot access the specified device, path or fil. You may not the the appropriate permissions. We have Microsoft Windows XP
Home Ed. 2002 Serv. Pack 3. He can access documents, but anything associated with the internet, this message appears.

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit) on a Dell Inspiron 560. I am using a DI-524 D-Link wireless router. I have an Acer Aspire One Net Book running Windows XP Home it is equipped with an internal wireless network adapter. I can connect/communicate with router and access the internet with no problems whatever. However, when I connect an external wireless network adapter e.g. Alpha AWUS036H I cannot get a connection when I disable my internal network adapter. I have also tried the Trendnet TEW-424UB USB external wireless network adapter and the symptoms are exactly the same.

Now my computer is giving me a message in the currently connected to "Unidentified Network, No internet access". Is shows that I'm connected in my "Wireless Network Connection, but not in my currently connected.

In other words, I can no longer access the wireless internet from my laptop. I have talked with my internet service provider and the say the problem is the settings with the laptop itself because I can access the internet from my tablet computer.

I was installing a software on my other laptop (it had SQL software with it) and I ran into some trouble as I got error problems that the installation of the software had failed and now whatever I do, I can't access the web! Sure enough, my wireless connection connects successfully and it indicates that I am on the "Internet" but every time I try to use either firefox or internet explorer to go to a web site, it says I don't have a connection. can connect to the network but not the internet. In IPCONFIG it says media is disconnected. In properties it says adapter is not connected. But I can see the network, I can ping every computer on the network, just can't get to the internet.Reinstalled all the drivers, tried renew, netsh commands, flushdns, disabled & reenabled. 2 other computers connect to the internet and each other with no problem. Can connect to other WI Fi's too, but still no internet access.

After a couple of hours using the internet, the connection stopped. The wireless router still had an 'Excellent' signal, but it also said I had no internet access. All of the other wireless devices in my house connect to the internet perfectly, including when right next to the laptop.I've tried disabling the firewall and resetting the computer a few times, but nothing seems to pick up the internet access. The troubleshooting guide tells me that it is a problem with the wireless modem, but quite obviously that isn't true.

I just reinstalled my Inspiron 1720 and everything works fine but the Bluetooth Peripheral Device which keeps reinstalling after every reboot.
In device manager Bluetooth Radios, "Dell Truemobile 355 Bluetooth + EDR" and "Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator" are installed properly but I have in "Other devices" a Bluetooth Peripheral Device which does not want to install.
I used Driver CD provided when I purchased my laptop but it does not find any drivers to solve the problem. I also went to dell.com drivers to fin the latest one and this neither does not work .

Have two other computers that connect with ease to the Netgear wireless router, but the new computer will not access the internet. I have been searching for answers and have tried about everything I can find nuder similar posts, but I still have not internet access. At varying times, I have had "internet access", but no actual ability to load websites. Right now, I do not even have access. I have a Windows 7 computer that was built by ibuypower. It's great, but I ordered a rosewill wireless adapter for it and noticed that my connection strength and speed are both pretty terrible. I went on amazon and bought a TP-Link wireless adapter(TL-WN822N). I installed the most recent "V2" drivers from their website and upon disabling my rosewill adapter and enabling the new TP-Link adapter, I was able to connect to the network, but not access the internet. I have tried power cycling the router, using the reset switch on the router, restarting my computer, and a bunch of commands that I found on this site. Is it possible that I have a defective adapter?
Also, some more information: My isp is comcast and the router is from them as well. Here is my ipconfig /all log for the rosewill adapter(internet access):

I have an Dell inspiron 1564 with dell webcam central I been useing it a while now and had no problems with it untill one day I logged on and I go on webcam chat sites and as you know theres a button you click for your cam to turn on and useally a warning sign would appear saying would you like to allow this site to acces your webcam and I would click allow but now nothing appears and i click the cam sign and nothing happens just black I set the settings to Allow and always remember but nothing will work I was told to get rid of all my toolbars as they might of caughts the problem so I did and now i don't have any toolbars but it's still in not working I think its the McAfee secuirty I have a on my computer that is not allowing it but then i think why would it one day just stop it from allowing.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1520 here, that we could not get to connect to the Internet, we'd only get "Local Only" both wired or wireless on any connections. After messing with it for a few hours decided best to just reformat and fix it that way. After a fresh reformat (Vista Home Premium) we get the exact same issue, with a clean install. All other computers connect with no issue, this one doesn't wireless or wired, just "local only"
